We just got back from a 5 night stay and I would probably rate this hotel at 3 1/2 stars rather than a 4 if the option were available. I believe in trying to be as honest as possible when writing these so that it is fair to the business and those looking to possibly stay. We have traveled around to many of the islands and have always stayed at all inclusive resorts, so we are experienced travelers. The Club was not what we were expecting but it met some of our expectations. I will start with the negatives first: The most disappointing feature was the beach...or rather lack there of. It is more of a man made sand wall that overlooks the ocean and the water below is quite rocky and hard to swim in. Our room upon arrival was a bit disappointing as they are "well worn", the mini fridges are not stocked with anything unless you want to pay extra because it is considered part of room service (strange for an all inclusive) and the floor was so dirty that the bottoms of our feet were black within a few hours of walking around on them. There never really seemed to be any entertainment (despite posted planned activity signs) not even music playing at the pool and the place is a snooze fest most of the day except until late evenings when live music is there for a few hours before everything shuts down at 11pm. I guess if you are an older couple who appreciates the quiet and you just want to sit around soaking up the sun, this is the resort for you. Positives are that the hotel is in a quiet & safe location, it is adults only so there are no kids running around, there is plenty of parking if you have a rental car, the drinks & food are top notch for a resort of its kind and most of the staff work very hard & provide great service. Holetown, which is within a short walking distance has some lovely shops and places to eat. Location wise it is about a 30 min drive from airport and seemed to be 15-20 minutes from most of the major tourist attractions/activities.

We had an enjoyable stay and a wonderful wedding all organised by the amazing Sophia Butcher and her lovely team. I could have never imagined that getting married (26 .4.24) could be so stress free. Sophia was highly efficient in guiding us of the process and arranging bookings for us and was very responsive whilst we were in the UK and when we arrived. We swam in the morning, had a light lunch and then prepared for the ceremony. The beach area was nicely decorated and we had a delicious cake and champagne included in the package, followed by dinner by the ocean. Just the two of us went so Sophia and Kathy kindly witnessed for us.
If you want a stress free , simplistic but tasteful wedding or retaking of vows then look at the services they offer. The backdrop of the ocean is gorgeous and we got a beautiful sunset too. We also enjoyed and were moved by the ceremony by the Rev Lowe.
We had a lovely room with an ocean view of which was cleaned and maintained nicely during our stay.
We ate a few evenings in the hotel and had lovely meals. We had breakfast everyday of numerous choices and without fail were greeted by the ladies on the egg station with great energy and smiles -such a great bunch.
We found that on the odd occasion that some members waitressing were not smiling if you take the time to engage and talk be interested there was an instant change and with that in mind only encountered friendliness back and great service. There were also some particular members that radiated warmth just wish I could remember all their names but Natalie was one of them.
The gentleman in the Piano bar and Leron on reception were also very pleasant and helpful.
The location short walk to bars and other restaurants was great.
My reasoning for the high rating is all above comments and considering the price of what we paid for being a mere fraction compared to neighbouring hotels . That is a very key factor that I think many reviews are forgetting.
Great time and were very sad to leave.

We've just returned from a fantastic holiday to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary at The Club Barbados Resort and Spa.
I'd strongly recommend that you ignore the negative reviews previously posted, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely be returning next year.
We had an Ocean View loft room, which received maid service every single day, and we were blown away by the fantastic views (right on the edge of the sea). We were impressed with the quality of the room and the nice little extras, like coffee machine, hairdryers, toiletries etc.
All of the staff were brilliant and went to every effort to make sure that our anniversary was memorable. A special shout out to Guye, Kareene, Vinny, Sonia and Michael who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As for those people who feel that the staff are rude, unfriendly etc. why not try engaging with them? Try that and guess what, they engage with you, it's not rocket science.
I've stayed in MANY hotels, both for business and leisure, and I'd put The Club Barbados Resort and Spa up there with the best of them.
Perhaps some people need to embrace what's available and try to enjoy their holidays, rather than trying to look for any minor issue which perhaps deviates slightly from "perfection"
The food was excellent with plenty of choice and variety, catering for all tastes and dietary needs with Enid's restaurant offering local cuisine for a special meal.
Most of the evening entertainment acts were good, especially the DJ and Aura, maybe a couple of the others could be improved upon but this is a minor comment.
Caroline, the manager, was regularly available around the hotel and held a cocktail evening on Monday's to meet with clients, on an informal basis.
Overall, we loved our holiday in Barbados and when we return next year we won't consider going anywhere other than Club Barbados Resort and Spa.

This place is frequented by a much older crowd, retirement vibes for sure. Not for the below 40 age ranges if you're looking for fun parties or a lively atmosphere. Quiet and peaceful, though, the ocean rooms have a phenomenal view, and the ocean sounds were loud and soothing for relaxing. The staff is amazing, which I would say might be true to most of the people in the country, very friendly.

I visited this hotel about 11 years ago when it was Almond Beach. It was good then but I think that it has improved since it has changed name. An excellent place to stay on the West Coast, it offers quality, value for money and very friendly, welcoming staff.
The three swimming pools make up for the rather difficult access to the sea, which is down steps from the hotel beach front. The sea wasn't really easy to get into, except at very low tide, for anyone like myself who is not too good on their feet! (That's why only 4 stars for location)
Overall it's a very good hotel, well run, with a manager who was in sight, checking up on guest satisfaction and keeping staff on their toes, with a super friendly staff, from the gardeners and maintenance men, to the cleaners, kitchen staff and all the front of house folks, making our stay relaxing and very enjoyable.
