This is our second trip to Nexus Karambunai. Loved it the first time and the feeling just grew second time around. We stayed for 5 nights. Excellent location, great view with a blend of sea, hills and lush well maintained garden & ponds. The gym and spa is perfect. The thing the we loved most about this place is the friendly staffs that always make us feel very welcomed. Everyone is super helpful especially the F&B crew Nelysha, Rosalyn, Anna and James from the concierge. This place is special because of staff like them.

Away from the hustle bustle city that getting more crowded nowadays. Perfect for your “healing staycation” specially the beach just walking distant.
Spend 3 days 2 nights there, here some of my feedback..
Their room price it’s reasonable compared to other resort. Im paying their local promotion rate around rm388++ that time coz im wanted the higher floor.. it’s worth my money..
they have 4 different restaurants.. if you willing to walk over to their golf club, you can enjoyed your lunch there with the view of golf.
Their Chinese restaurant - noble house.. it one of my favourite restaurant. I love their dimsum..
breakfast choice was great even I only enjoyed on the last day before check out (not a breakfast person 😂)
Sunset bar - just beside the beach. I was enjoying my beer and pizza on my 2nd day when there some event happening in the evening. Turn out they can arrange wedding proposal.. congratulation to the soon to be groom coz he got a “Yes”.
We wanted to have some booze at night and decided to go to their Darlin-Darlin pub.. they have happy hour offer ok..enjoy our drinking session with karaoke and pool table there..
Overall pricing wise reasonable. I don’t go “broke” while staying there 😂..
Go for their spa.. enjoy their facilities. I have my sauna there after my 1hr body massage.. it’s feel like all my so called “broken bones” getting fixed. I almost felt sleep at their lounge area..
They also have activities such as Jetski, banana boat, ATV ride, kayak, jungle trekking. Didnt go for it as I’m not adventurous person but it’s recommended.
Overall stay experience I would say, I will come back again even there’s lot improvement needed to be done.. I guess pandemic hits the hotel quite bad but you can see they working hard to maintain that huge resort and keep up with the service. I have not experienced any bad service from their staff, all with smile even some staff you may see them from morning till dinner..
So if you a so called “perfectionist person” don’t bother to consider.

Nature's retreat! The resort's natural environment is a paradise found. The sunset was a mesmerizing display of colors. A true embodiment of nature's wonders, this escape from the city hustle was a holiday well spent. Loved the beach and its breeze. Would definitely visit again.

The nice private beach is a highlight but in general, the place is a run down version of what it used to be. Good to know that the rooms are being gradually refurbished.

beach. here. Loved it. Beautiful beach, umbrellas, went ATVing on the beach. Best breakfast I have had in Malaysia and it's a buffet. I believe we paid 400+ for a night with breakfast included. Would recommend to anyone. Beautiful sunset. The sun sets slightly behind a rock face but you can see most of the sunset and of course the sky clearly.
You can order food and drinks out to the beach.
The beach bar was closed when I was there but again you can still order from the QR code on the umbrellas.
You can kayak or jet ski as well :)
Clean, spacious rooms.
About 30 minutes north of KK on the coast.
You can get to a view point of Mount Kinabalu from here in a out 1 hr to 1.5 hr.
Enjoy!
Andrew
Also there is a little store there for sun screen and souvenirs.
