This was our second visit and was even better than our first the resort staff, food and service were absolutely brilliant and all those we interacted with seemed very invested in us having a great holiday. We stayed in the Junior Suites and the room could not be faulted for its views, or the level of attention from room staff. All staff seemed genuinely interested in our welfare and ensuring we had a great time. We are already planning to return next year.

It's perfect resort for vacation in penang. Come at one o'clock we can check in immediately. Love our spacious room has the sea view & pool view. The ambience is nice & refreshing. the breakfast are also delicious, has many variety food to eat. All staffs are polite & kind. Recommended resort ! We definitely will come back again soon

We took the place for a group of 17 pax including kids at the garden view section. The resort was great and provided the best atmosphere for families to relax, play and chill.
It had everything - including a kids club where they can spent an hour or two, a mini water theme park for kids , a good restaurant by the sea.
Breakfast was good, while the lunch / dinner can be better, but good.
The beach is not a big beach where you can spend a day, but nevertheless good.

The resort has beautiful sceneries of the beach where varying rooms have the beach view. The swimming pools and resting zones are good for chilling and spending time with the family.
We tried the drinks and desserts at the resort where it was fantastic during the hot weather since there were refreshing.
However, there were issues with getting a Grab taxi due to the location of the resort and we had to make several attempts before we can get a Grab ride successfully.

Unfortunately, didn't have the best time here. 5 star for the facilities but 3/4 star for the service. With that, with the price you are paying, it is not worth the money.
For the service, you would get the same service from a 3 or 4 star hotel but only pay half of the price. Don't get me wrong, the staff are friendly. However, I noticed a few little things that you didn't get here, but you would usually get in other Shangri-la hotels or other 5 star hotel. For example, when we stepped into the hotel lobby on our first day, no one greeted us near the entrance and showed us where to check-in. Also, every time we entered the lobby, no one smiled and or said hi/good morning, for example. You would expect these little things from a 5 star hotel.
Moreover, the management in Pinang Bar seems to be lacking. A staff member said that we forgot to pay for our dinner the night before, when we actually did. We had to show them our bank transaction and receipt.
Lastly, there were two lifts - but one of them was broken for a few days.
For the facilities, the swimming pool area is very clean and the pool itself is massive. The gym is excellent as well, with many machines and weights.
