Exceptional. Superb. Phenomenal. Cape Weligama is a hotel and experience like no other. We were lucky enough to stay here for 8 nights at the end of our honeymoon. Every day we were blown away by the service and staff who truly go above and beyond to make your stay one to remember. No ask is too much trouble, the people make this place so special.
We also ate some of the best food in Sri Lanka here, locally sourced and prepared to perfection. We found every night to be a different experience but each one as impressive as the last. The chefs table experience was truly one to remember too.
The grounds and views are spectacular from every angle, a true relaxing oasis.
Cape Weligama will stay with us for a long time and we only hope we can return back one day soon. Thank you again team Cape Weligama! Laura & Ben

Amazing location and helpful staff, if not a few too many of them. Despite the pomp of the Tableaux room, the food was mediocre…especially and plainly presented. Impressively they had a selection of vegan sorbets, however they all tasted the same.

I was a in-house guest and I was representing one of my clients important event coverage. I must say this is the worst ever hotel I stepped in, Client hospitality is so poor. Director sales pulled me out of my dinner and wanted him to go through what I have captured and started lecturing me how to do my job, when he was not the man I was reporting to. Director disturbed my dinner just because wanted some images to be captured on behalf of him. Chaminda is the person who is ruined the Momentum. When I apologized if I said something to just his feelings during the initial discussion , he went said that I’m disrespectful for him to my client IN FRONT of me. This how Cape Weligama treats to their clients simply because he holds the director position and he expects every one bow their heads to him. Thanks to his tantrum Chaminda put up, I decided to checkout at 11/30 mid night and that he made the lovely evening a disaster for
Most of us. This is how good the hospitality at Cape Weligama.

We have stayed here in most of the renown hotel chains in Sri Lanka but our stay at Cape Weligama beats them all🌟. For a start, the architecture and the design of this property is aesthetically pleasing and we felt it since the moment we entered. The suite was spacious, clean and cozy. Food was delicious, chef Ishara is a master at his craft ; Take a bow , sir. Special thanks to Mr. Manthika for his attentive service and collaboration with the chef for an unforgettable lunch just before we left.
As for the suggestion, moving the gym to the former Surf bar location would offer an awesome workout with a breathtaking view. No complaints; it was a mesmerizing experience overall.

Great place to be if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday, which we wanted. The most stand out point is the food, it was absolutely amazing. And their creation of cocktails using “arrack” (a locally produced alcohol). Hats off to the chef for the food. Great views and some of the staff try their best to give you a hospitable experience. Only point of improvement is the communication between staff members can get better, as sometimes when requests were made to 1 employee it had not been communicated well to the other who served us. Any other place it won’t be a big deal but at the level cape weligama operate this should not be happening. Overall we had a good holiday as a family.
