Beautiful resort, clean rooms, great food and amazing workers!! Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel so welcome. Vida, the lady at the towel hut was unbelievably amazing! She is so genuine and has a beautiful smile and personality. Seeing Vida at the towel hut before heading to the beach always put a smile on my face!!
Overall, we would definitely travel here again. Absolutely no complaints🤗

I've never felt more like a VIP than I did at the Dreams Onyx. The butter service was top notch. Franklin took such good care of us making sure we got in to restaurants at dinner, golf carting us to tennis every day, and taking our luggage to and from our room. He made sure to ask if we needed things and always had a smile on his face. This all inclusive resort includes many restaurants and has access to the neighboring resort Breathless. We ate a few meals there and even though we left the kids at home on this trip I liked the vibe at Dreams a little more. Our room was quiet and the view of the preferred pool was nice. The only issue I see with the hotel is the bathrooms have a lot of wear and tear which I think is pretty typical for beach resorts but they could do a little better job maintaining and updating those areas. But the rest of the room was great and the bed was so comfortable. The drive from the airport was about 35-40 mins but was really pleasant.

This place is nothing short of amazing! We couldn't decide which resort we wanted to book, but I am so glad we chose Dreams Onyx! From arrival to departure, everything was absolutely amazing. Our swim-up room was very nice and clean with quick access to the restaurants, beach and Adults Only Breathless resort (Yes! I don't want to forget to mention that we have access to everything at Breathless as well! It was like getting a 2 for 1) Our personal butler Javier was great he was there every step of the trip if we needed him and even when we didn't he would send messages with updates (We met another couple that were staying at Breathless and they said their personal butler was horrible I'm glad we didn't have that problem 😉) pretty much ALL of the staff were friendly except one lady working in the buffet... Dreams Onyx is kid friendly, and everyone on the resort seemed to be very happy and enjoying their time. There's so much to do that you can't get bored! We will most definitely stay here again

The resort was a much needed vacation. I was there for 4 days 3 nights. It rained when I arrived but it made for a pleasant rest after dinner. Pros definitely outweighed the cons I think based on others experience and mine. I’ll start with cons because there weren’t many.
Cons:
- Rooms are showing wear so could use some fixing. For example, the shower grate was not screwed down. Someone could have gotten hurt but I wore shoes in the shower so I can overlook this. The shower also leaked into the bathroom (all glass surround connecting walls).
- The bed was not the best. Mattress was definitely well used and so were pillows. I think a mattress topper would have done wonders.
- Buffet food was pretty much the same daily. I tried chicken at the Dominican station and was so dry and hard almost inedible.
Pros:
- Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
- Room service and cleaning staff kept the room clean, stocked with necessities, and went out of the way to make sure I had everything I needed.
- Concierge and preferred club staff were attentive including seamless check in/out, pool needs, dinner reservations, etc. I even had rowdy neighbors that got into a fight who were handled quickly.
- Spice restaurant for hibachi was entertaining
- While the buffet at Carnival was repetitive I could find something everyday. Pasta station was the best
- I had a great massage at the spa. I have bruised ribs which weren’t hurt during my experience. This was a big plus
Overall I’d return and recommend.

Beautiful resort and great amenities for adults and kids. The a la cart restaurants are amazing. The buffet is a buffet, good but not great.
The beach is awesome if you enjoy playing in the waves. Even on the calm days, there will be waves. Lots of pools to please whatever you are looking for. Staff is very friendly. The resort shuts down early and is nice and quiet, but if you are looking for a little night life, it is a short walk over to the attached Breathless resort. Great layout for the resort. It never felt like anything was too far of a walk but still spaced out. I never felt the need to return to the same resort, but I would have no issues returning here if.
