Day 1 Review - just coming to the end of our 1st 24hrs here at the hotel, after all 1st impressions count:
We arrived quite late on the Monday evening & were greeted at the door by the receptionist & the doorman. We were quickly taken to reception to check in & sort out any paperwork and our bags were managed for us. The reception team asked if we wanted anything to eat as they understood we had been travelling for a long time. Officially speaking, the restaurant was closing, but they were only too happy to accommodate & apologised profusely for a limited range of food (there was plenty) but they were in the process of shutting down and cleaning up for the next day. Not saying this is something they will always be able to do but we are very grateful they did.
On our first full day here, we’ve had an amazing time with great food & drinks, amazing children’s facilities, Splash parks & children’s slides for all abilities & ages. We spent some time in the main pool & had a great game of water polo with the entertainment team & took part in some swimming pool disco games.
After a lovely dinner in the main restaurant with a great wine choice by our restaurant captain, we attended the family disco & then an amazing fire & acrobatic show. This is a must see , the show was absolutely amazing & was held in the outdoor amphitheatre.
The hotel itself is very luxurious & very clean. There are always staff on hand & nothing is too much trouble. Our room did not come with a hairdryer & after a quick visit to reception a member of staff came from a different part of the building to assist me as the reception desk was busy.
On a personal note we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and the hotel left a lovely chocolate cake in the refrigerator upon our arrival.
If the rest of our stay is as good as today we will be incredibly pleased.

We just returned from a week long stay at this resort.
We are a party of 7 and booked two rooms through a third party that sold us a package deal (flight, hotel and transportation to and from the airport).
Initially we were given two rooms that were in an area that had no Wi-Fi, and due to our need to be online due to work, the staff was beyond accommodating and we were moved to rooms that had ample connectivity.
Overall, the staff was amazing! Always welcoming, friendly, courteous and professional.
The water slides kept our older kids busy, the younger ones enjoyed the grecoland club and playground, and we spent quite a lot of time in the heated outdoor pool.
The facilities are great and the resort has a village feel, which was great.
Highly recommend it and as it was our first time in Crete and in Greece, it really made us want to come back again because of the amazing experience at Grecotel.

Keys kept getting demagnetised because “to close to phone”. Had get new keys three times in one week. Had to sit outside with my 6-year old kid every other day, waiting for new keys. The staff was friendly and helpful but this really shows that management does not really care about customer experience at all, using old lock systems. These issues overshadowed everything else which is to bad, because the rest of the experience was actually quite pleasant.

Excellent hotel with service among the best we have experienced. Excellent and varied food with a high awareness of gluten-free food with guidance from the chef. A very spacious room facing the sea was excellent for us. An excellent water park suitable for all ages. The girls from the entertainment team are lovely and our kids really enjoyed the activities at the kids club. Highly recommended, we will be back

It is a fantastic all-inclusive hotel in a great location. The staff were all amazingly helpful, and the food was first class. We would definitely consider returning here if we go to Crete again.
