LaLuna was maybe one of my favorite resorts. First off Grenada was a beautiful place to visit and the vast majority of local people we spoke to were incredibility friendly and hospitable.
We stayed in a deluxe cottage with Caribbean Sea View which was truly amazing. I would classify as refined rustic. The views from your front porch, your bed, and even your open air but enclosed shower are incredible.
I would have loved air conditioning in the bathroom, but the unit in the bedroom would have to suffice.
Although there is only one restaurant the food was excellent with enough options for several meals there that week.
The service was second to none. Everyone was extremely friendly and none of it felt forced or contrived.
Although the pool and beach area is smaller, there is no need for anything more since it is so private with so few guests.
Definitely visit the spa! The Balinese Couples Massage was incredible.
We will definitely be returning and cannot say enough good things about the resort or the staff.

Laluna is beautiful private beach resort! The staff is beyond amazing! Dwight, Trish and the rest of the staff were very friendly and hospitable! Tracey took care of our every need right down to private beachfront dinner for our anniversary. The private Balinese style villa with plunge pool is a perfect for a couples getaway. Laluna Is definitely one of the hidden treasures of Grenada! Thank you again to everyone at Laluna for making our anniversary unforgettable!

Very few beaches in the world are as beautiful and secluded while at the same time having such an amazing infrastructure and ease of access. You will likely have paradise all to yourself. The vibe is very, very chill, very pleasant, the service is top notch, the restaurant is excellent, it is a unique place. If you want to relax and bless your senses this is the place. God made it special and the people at Laluna made a great job complementing the amenities.

Crazy romantic quiet place. Laluna is unpretentious. Styled in Balinese tradition, the property is simple and uncluttered. Our cottage was perfect for 2 with a private porch and mini plunge pool. The bathroom is an outdoor shower with a view. It can get a little steamy if you are drying your hair, so opt for carefree hairstyles to match the vibe. The staff was great… friendly and very patient when we slept in. Kayaks and paddle boards were a bonus for exploring the nearby coves. The beach is beautiful and more than ample for sunbathing, swimming or building sand castles. The spa is also small and unassuming. Best massages! Note, the restaurant menu doesn’t change, so plan accordingly if you are there several days. Bartenders are great and will provide a sip of the good stuff if you close it down. Laluna is not a large, overdone, crowded 5-star resort. It’s a simple place. And perfect for our cozy private respite.

My husband and I visited Laluna to celebrate my birthday on March 14th. We purchased the $99 US per person day pass which included a morning Vinyasa yoga class, two-course lunch, 2 cocktails per person, and access to common areas, shower, pool, beach chairs and palapa. We were able to get the last 2 good beach chairs with shade around 10:40 am but after that none were available on the beach itself.
Check-in was okay, and we were given a brief tour by a staff member. However, I therefore arrived late for the yoga class. Yoga was led by an older white male instructor, which felt particularly awkward for a few reasons.
The beach at Laluna was picturesque, but the surf was really rough and full of broken coral, making swimming unpleasant and uncomfortable. I even stepped on a piece of cactus in the water and had to pull a spine out of the sole of my foot, which was painful. We took a stroll to the neighboring Silversands Beach House, which is newly opened and gorgeous. Next time, I will try their restaurant Azzurro.
Lunch at Laluna was a mixed experience. For starters, my husband had the Caesar salad, which he found to be mediocre due to a milky dressing that in no way resembles Caesar dressing. I had the jar callipo tuna and white beans, which was excellent. For the main course, I enjoyed the grilled fish with vegetables. My husband had the Laluna sandwich which was mediocre and again had the same milky dressing as his salad.
The service was disappointingly slow and inattentive, and we felt we spent too much time waiting. It took 2 hours from start to finish, which is ridiculous. The server was either missing or ignored us much of the lunch.
After relaxing on the beach, we used the private bathroom with large shower stall, which was well-equipped with full-size Italian bath and body products. It was difficult to get clean towels from the front desk.
For dinner, we arrived just before 6:00 to choose a table with a good view of the sunset. I enjoyed a delicious raw fish tartare topped with tasty raw spicy greens (callaloo?) Although lobster is on the menu, they had no lobster available. For the main course, I ordered the conte artisanal pasta al ragu, which was average. My husband had the spicy Thai chicken curry on noodles, which were disappointing, and a nice pumpkin ginger soup for his appetizer. We spent EC dollars 282.83 or US $104.75 on two (a la carte) courses for two people without drinks. At least the service at dinner was better and quicker than at lunch. Cocktails were generally good.
Despite it being my birthday, there was no acknowledgment from the staff. We informed Laluna twice in advance via WhatsApp about my special occasion but they ignored the opportunity for hospitality and customer service.
While Laluna has its boho-chic rustic charms, including a beautiful small beach and amenities, the overall experience was marred by slow service and average food quality. With some improvements, it could be a fantastic destination.
