Overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel facilities were impeccably clean, and the service was both friendly and prompt, which made the stay comfortable. However, I was disappointed with the high tea experience. The tea lacked flavor due to a single tea bag being used in a large pot, and the accompanying food seemed to be recycled from the breakfast buffet either that morning or the previous day. It didn’t feel worth the price. On a positive note, my family and I made great use of the entertainment room, especially enjoying the ping pong table, which we used thoroughly during our stay. Unfortunately, one downside was the unpleasant smell coming from a public stream that passed near our room. I would still recommend for its clean facilities, attentive staff, and overall convenient location. It was a good experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Great place to slow down & unwind” Good sized rooms that were very comfortable, great staff, general ambience was comfortable and relaxing. The kids loved the ping pong table. If I had any comment to make, the shower tiles need regrouting and the shower glass needs a better scrub to remove the build up of soap scum. But honestly my family and I had a great stay. Definitely worth coming back too.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the disgusting experience at your hotel, which fell far short of our expectations for a stay at high reputation 4-star hotel. Firstly, we were dismayed to discover that the room allocated to us did not correspond to the one we had booked. Our reservation clearly specified a room with two queen beds and a view of the sea. However, what we were given was a room with one bed and a sofa bed, and the hotel supplies only have two sets, which means this room is only fix to 2 person but not 4!!! It’s significantly different from what we had anticipated. Despite bringing this discrepancy to the attention of your staff, we were informed that this was the only room available and were assured that this was an upgrade, which we found unacceptable. Secondly, the condition of the bedding provided was appalling. Both the pillows and the duvet were visibly moldy, presenting a serious hygiene concern. Our complaint regarding this issue only resulted in the provision of a replacement set, rather than the proactive offer of a room change, which would have been more appropriate given the circumstances. Lastly, the response to our dissatisfaction was limited to apologies and an offer of a high tea set as compensation. However, given that we were already in the process of checking out, this gesture did not adequately address the severity of the issues we encountered. The level of service we received does not align with the standards expected of a five-star rating hotel. The overall experience has left a sour impression on us, and we urge you to take immediate steps to address these concerns and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. We trust that you will handle this matter with the seriousness it deserves and look forward to your prompt response.

The location was great—uncrowded, quiet, and right in front of the beach. At night, you can hear nature sounds, which is wonderful. Breakfast was nice too. However, the room was with visible dust. Upon check-in, there was no explanation about breakfast or any amenities. We received a card with breakfast and welcome drink timings, but a verbal explanation would have been helpful. The staff member failed to mention a second tax, which we had to pay upon check-out.

Staff was welcoming and accommodating. Hotel was beautiful and made you really feel you were experiencing tropical luxury. Rooms were beautiful especially the 800 suite with the ground floor walk out to the beach. Morning breakfast was always delicious and street vendors + hawker center very close by. If I ever come back to penang. I will for sure stay at Lone Pine again.
