Could not fault this hotel at all. Staff are amazing from front of house to back. Right on the cleanest most beautiful beach and next to the creek. Fish can be seen easily from a short distance out on the reef and turtles and tarpon can be hunted down a bit further out. Watersports are all included which really is a positive in this beautiful bay. You will get sellers on the beach as all the beaches in barbados are public beaches.. None are private, despite what you may think but they are all really respectful and if you have a chat you learn a lot about the island! Rooms are beyond just clean, changed every day, air conditioned and beautifully decorated (we stayed on the fourth floor of the main block). No noise heard from our room from the street. A major plus for this hotel is really the staff.. They are all amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, from anyone you ask. Food is good, dri ks are flowi g, everyone here is really friendly. Great little hotel.. We're about to rebook... It has been the most wonderful time.

We stayed a week in the mango bay hotel, and for the price, we were disappointed. Holetown, where the hotel is situated, was about half an hour away from the airport. If you travel at schools out, it will take about an hour. When we got to the hotel, it was about 5 pm we were greeted by members of staff. We were asked if we would like a drink and the given lots of Disclaimer forms to fill out. Basically, if you injure yourself, it's your fault. A member of staff took us to our room, we were on the 3rd floor facing the restaurant/sea. The room looked OK as we walked in, and we were asked if it was ok. We said yes. As the week went on, we saw lots of things that weren't right. The TV had a scratch on it and was small for the room. The toilet had cracks, and so did the basin. The bathroom was all tiled white, but the bath was stained yellow. When you use the towels, you put them in the bath to get replaced when dirty, I had to ask to get more towels as they didn't replace them. For a four star, I would expect all these to be addressed. The hotel is all-inclusive and was confusing as some mealtimes were sit down restaurant style with a menu, and then some were buffet get your own ,you never knew which. But you had to dress to the rules, whichever. Not everybody sticks to these rules. The loungers on the beach are for the hotel customers only, but regulars pick the best ones and put their towels on them early. The hotel has tried to stop this, but it still goes on. You also do get mithered by locals selling on the beach. It's a shame as I was looking forward to visiting barbados.

A nice hotel, located on the west coast in popular Holetown, beach front with views of the ocean...some shaded trees on beach...perfect for those hot days, been to the property a few times for dining, all are welcome as it's open to nonresidents as well, food is always good, tasty and a vast variety..staff are all friendly and welcoming...highly recommend!

A wonderful experience being here. I have visited before. Overall appearance lovely. Nicely kept garden and grounds. Bar good, efficient and very friendly. Resturant staff friendly and happy. Rooms however very tired and needing a good paint and lift. Nothing is too much trouble for this great team of people. Sunshine and happiness 😊

I suspect for many people this would be a four star review. Afterall, the beach is superb - as is the snorkelling. The location is good with Holetown on your doorstep. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is fine. BUT, for us, the holiday was ruined by the noise outside our room. Rooms are arranged around the pool with just a few overlooking the sea. Half of the rooms back onto the street where there is a very raucous bar called 'One Love'. Friday, Saturday and Sunday is party night which continues until 3:00am. The street is heaving with 500+ people and cars blaring their horns as they try to squeeze through the crowds. I can accept some noise but this was off the scale - a heavy bass beat that rattles your teeth. Rapping that sounds like someone is being tortured. Sunday was Karaoke! All making it impossible to sleep. Speaking to others in a similar situation is transpired that they had resorted to piling suitcases and pillows against the door to muffle the sound. We arrived at the holey on Saturday evening after a 9 hour flight. No sleep that night. The next night (Sunday)- no sleep. Slept well Tuesday to Thursday but Friday - the night before an overnight flight to the UK - No sleep. Result - arrived back home on Sunday having had no sleep for 2 nights. Our request to move room was met with a resigned, disinterested yawn and a promise to let us know if another room became available. It didn't. Repeat complaints were met with disdain. The Hotel management are complacent and clearly not interested in addressing the issue - It doesn't help that the doors barely fit the door frames - if they were to address that and fit soundproof doors that would go a long way to fixing things. Also worth noting that there's a stagnant river next to the hotel which means an abundance of mosquitoes. Not good at anytime but especially when there's an outbreak of Dengue fever in Holetown - which there is - not that the Hotel would tell you this. Take insect repellent. Back to the positives, the residents were all a genteel bunch - mostly aged around 70. Mostly British and most seemed to be staying for more than two weeks and had visited multiple times. Although the hotel could do with a tidy up and a lick of paint, this was not to it's detriment. My advice is to ask for a guarantee that your room will not back onto the street - if you don't get that guarantee in writing - DON'T GO!! Otherwise, a decent value hotel in a good location. And one last thing - the wifi is awful. You can barely send a WhatsApp most of the time even in the public areas. In our room, it was non existent. This was commented on by many and the fact that the hotel does nothing to address it speaks volumes. Wifi is an easy fix and it would benefit everyone if they were to improve it
