I have just came back from a 9-day all-inclusive stay in the hotel, in a very nice location.
Rooms:
The rooms are quite small for a four star hotel. However, they are sufficient.
Each room has a terrace where people can hang their wet clothes (although I had to ask for a drying rack!). The rooms have a safe as well, which you can use with a refundable 20 euro deposit. My room was cleaned every day.
However, my room was not properly soundproofed. I could hear my friends (on the room next to mine) talking and could almost understand everything they were saying.
Also, the shower was not properly attached so water leaked quite a lot, and there would be water everywhere on the bathroom floor after showering.
Pool area:
The hotel has several pools. During my stay, I had no problem finding an empty sun bed.
One of the pools was quite dirty during two days of my stay.
Several of the pool rules were constantly being violated like kids diving all the time, inflatables on water and people listening to music in their own speakers…
You can get pool towels with a refundable 10 euro deposit and you exchange towels with a non-refundable 2 euro charge.
Food:
The food was what one can expect from a buffet like experience for hundreds of people, not bad, not great… Dinners are themed based on days of the week and include moroccan, italian, japanese, menorcan and mexican. On top of that, there was always a fresh pasta and pizza stations.
I think the hotel needs to pay more attention to the food. There was fruit exposed to direct sunlight and a lot of flies hovering over food.
There wasn’t a lot of variety in the buffet.
Drinks:
There are several bars at the hotel. I only used the main one. Snacks are included on the all-inclusive regime and served until 5 pm.
There’s a comprehensive list of alcoholic beverages you can try. Again, if you have the all-inclusive status, you will be served bottom-tier brands…
There’s also free ice cream all day.
Note that still water is served on plastic bottles. I don’t think this is acceptable for an hotel that charges 2 euros for clean pool towels ‘to save the planet’.
Staff:
Overall, all the staff (cleaning, table servers, bar people, animators) were quite nice. Especially, Salvatore and Francisca, working on the main bar, were extremely nice to my friends and I during my stay. They always greeted me with a smile on their faces.
Extras:
There’s a place to store luggage (on the check-out date) and also 4 courtesy rooms for people to have a bath before leaving for the airport.
On my departure day, the hotel also allowed me to take advantage of the all-inclusive status until I left (4 pm) although I checked out at noon.
Things to do:
There’s a lot of (scheduled) animation going on during the entire day. This is very nice for families travelling with kids.
The hotel also has a Spa and tennis/padel courts, although I haven’t tried neither. There’s also animation on the evenings.
Location:
The hotel is in a very nice location, less than 5 minutes walking distance from Punta Prima’s beach. Next to the beach, there’s loads of restaurants, supermarkets, rental car agencies and even a pharmacy.
Ciutadella is one hour away by car.
There’s free parking on the premises and train/bus options available to commute.
Overall, my stay was very positive, apart from the rooms, and I look forward to return to Menorca soon!

This is a nice hotel with lots to recommend. Good food albiet breakfast dishes are often cool. Four pools although the pool next to the children's pool only has 4 umbrellas for 40 sunbeds , this is not enough by any standards. The rooms are in blocks and very small with no tea or coffee making facilities. The staff and entertainment team are friendly and work very hard. One criticism is the restaurant staff whip your plate away the moment you have the last mouthfull , whether your dining companion has finished or not. The drinks at the bar are extortionate at 17 euros for two gin and tonic. This is a blatent rip off. However the house wine at 3 euros is great value. The hotel is on a slight hill down to the beach which is busy and scruffy. I've 3 days left of my short stay but I like the hotel generally. It's more a 3 star hotel than a 4 star but reasonably comfortable. One final comment. The whole place is like a giant non stop kids club. Do we adults really need a "follow the leader" step by step demo at 22.45pm on the main stage in the evening? No ! After 21.30 should be adults time and entertainment.

Food was okay and the hotel was okay if a little tired. We stayed there end of season. It was a good place to take the kids as we could get twin rooms. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the not so great beach. If you stay get a hire car so you can check out the other places on the island.

I stayed in the hotel for one whole week for family vacations with my wife and our two children (4 and 1 year old). Food and location are good but their excellent customer service is definitely their best part. If you’re staying with children I highly recommend this hotel.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I have enjoyed my stay both times. The staff are very friendly, always saying hello and greeting you. The bar staff provide a quality service, and the main restaurant served different foods each day that was nice to try.
We were staying during the Euros so the hotel put up extra screens and televisions in the pool bar for everyone to watch.
There are several pools so there is always space for you to swim and it does not feel too crowded.
We went to the spa which was very nice, but the steam room was out of order.
There is a bus stop next to this hotel which takes you to Mahón, as well as a tourist bus that takes you along the coast to binibeca so this hotel is in a good location if you want to explore. It is also next to a beach, shops and restaurants. There are nice coastal walks around this area too.
For the price, this hotel is very good value for money and I expect we will return next year!
Thank you Occidental staff for all of your hard work and taking care of us.
