Very disappointed in our stay and this will also be the reason I never visit Mauritius again. From the moment we got there the staff only speak French. We didn't receive welcoming drinks, chats or so on. We where traveling with 3 children under 2 years of age and we arrived at the hotel at 17:00. We waited for approximately 45min for our rooms. We were not told where to eat or anything even though we had the all inclusive package. The entertainment only cater for the french people. This hotel should rather say French people only! The only friendly and helpful staff was at the bar and the restaurant.

Fantastic location with just a small road (with pedestrian crossing) to the amazing beach. Generally great staff, immaculate grounds and pool areas and all other communal areas The room was spacious and adequate but like the dining area, dated and in need of a little tlc. The food generally was OK with a decent choice on most nights, although some we struggled to find something we liked. The entertainment was hit and miss but you can't please everyone. On the whole, for what we paid I'd stay again, but this place could be far better with some investment

One of the highlights of my stay was the amazing food at the hotel. The dining options were diverse and the quality of the food was outstanding. Every meal was a delightful culinary experience. The chefs truly know how to create delicious dishes that catered to a variety of tastes. Overall, my experience at this hotel was exceptional. The staff's attentiveness and the delicious food made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic hospitality experience. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casuarina Resort and Spa, and I am beyond impressed with the service, ambiance, and overall experience. Mr Steeve, the restaurant manager, runs a top-notch dining establishment. His professionalism and warm demeanor make every meal feel special. His team, including Chengadoo, was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, ensuring each meal was a delight. Special praise goes to Chef Kennedy and Chef Sunil. Their culinary talents made every meal memorable, with dishes bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The variety and creativity in their menu were impressive, offering something for everyone. On the bar side, Mr Manav, the bar manager, and his team, including Bolah, were outstanding. Mr Manav’s unique cocktails and the team's prompt, friendly service made evenings at the bar a highlight. The rooms were beautifully designed, with modern furnishings, large windows offering stunning views, and impeccable cleanliness, thanks to the excellent housekeeping staff. The resort’s serene views, luxurious amenities, and attention to detail in every area made it a perfect blend of relaxation and top-tier service. I highly recommend Casuarina Resort and Spa for a luxurious and unforgettable stay.

We have been staying here for about 2 weeks. Here are some things that I want to share with others so they know about it before booking here: The location of the hotel is quite good, the nearby beach is really one of the best on Mauritius. The hotel itself has a lot of room for improvement. We had an All-inclusive package booked. The food was ok. Often they had only indian or local food (very much sea food) and it was hard to find something that the children would like. The dining room itselfs was very dirty though. A lot of birds are flying around. They sometimes leave their stuff on the floor, chairs and tables. The employees don't always clean the stuff up. The chairs also are looking very dirty. The tables only are getting made up if you make a reservation. Otherwise you have to collect forks and knives from other tables around. Also the tables don't get cleaned properly after someone has been dining there. The birds have also been seen eating from the big spoons in front of the food containers which was very disgusting. The hotel does not seem to care about this. Also very often the drink machine didn't work and e.g. Coke light was empty for most of the time and no one fixed it, even after telling them. The salad has always been fresh though and was delicious. The regular Coke also was working fine, same for the beer that you had to tap yourself. The drinks at the bar were acceptable, even though some cocktails were not really tasty. They used quite a lot of alcohol in the drinks. We have had better drinks, but also worse. The room we had was ok, but not in the best shape. Stuff falling off, toilet flushing was a little slow and weak, furniture has been very much used. But it was ok overall. The bed was very small, smaller than 2,00m long for sure. Very odd for "normal" european people. The room service didn't meet our expectations. They forgot to fill up the mini bar and even forgot to put in new towels. We had to complain every time to get towels. Overall I can not recommend this hotel, the only reason we booked it was the price.

Lovely space, good food and location. Techno at boat house very helpful as well as Gita at hotel. Our room had issues with drain and had to report smell more than once. Requested luggage collection 10 minutes before taxi was due. Had to follow up numerous times and only got helped 25 min later. Saw only one porter trying his best. Can definitely recommend.

I went there with a big expectation. I've been to ravenalla, sunrise and lagoon, and i was really happy with the service and overall experience of attitude hotels. However, i must say i was dissappointed with coin de mire. When we arrived, we had to wait for someone to help, the security guy had to come and help us with our luggages. It seems there is only one person in charge of helping with luggages & also bringing same to the respective rooms. The responsible guy was already busy. The welcome inside was okay, nothing special, and nothing like the other attitude hotels. The room was really small, but good. However, so many mosquitos inside the room. We brought our 8 months old baby, and you can imagine how bad it was. The room had mosquito repellent but it didnt help much. Lizards as well. Regarding the dinner, i brought my expectation back up, as i thought to myself, attitude hotels have great food! Disappointed again, not much to choose from. The pasta section was the only interesting one, but the fact that its so small, there was a long queue of like 15 persons. Had to wait and then went to eat. Food was below average. Dessert was okay, only three or four choices. We had one visitor, and i informed the reception about it. When my friend came, the security guy asked rudely " what are you coming to do at this time?" . It seems very unprofessional and not welcoming at all to treat client's visitors like this. Breakfast was also below average. The swimming pool was nice, and the hotel is small and easy accessibility to the facilities, bar, kids club etc. Unfortunately this hotel is the only attitude hotel that i will not go again as i think you are ruining the attitude reputation.

The hotel room was ok. Clean and tidy apart from mold in the bath room. The food was mediocre for Mauritius. Would recommend all inclusive rather than half board as it can get extortionate.. The gym was ok and kids club was ok. The kids film night was ok. Just wondering the child care regulations are not the same as the UK . They were well cared for. The beach is across the road which can be busy but the kayaking and sun beds are great. Well monitored. It is a bit of a distance from any shops and about an hour from port Louis. You can get Publix transportation from the hotel to other areas for From 30 rupees if you want to use the bus or 1500 for a taxi. The hotel offered sessions in the spa for astronomical prices and the use of the catermaran was tear jerking high when you consider we paid for the same trip for 4 people for the price of 1. The food wasn't sanitary, found hair in food twice, if vegan or vegetarian be careful. If you eat eggs they will mix the omelette in the same bowl they used to make the ham omelette. Food used is not wasted but used again in lunch service, or reprocessed in the dinner service. The best part of the food services was the fact the kids ate the pizza and bland foods. The most authentic elements were the roti and pickles. Even the chilled as spice level was bland. Food from winners down the road (25 min walk 5 min bus) was better as was fresh made to order and cheaper.. the cleaners ever day were fab. The staff 'Dina" was lovely and kids enjoyed her company ' . The hotel was ok with 1 pool out of action and the evening entertainment was ok but tried too hard to accommodate what tourist may fantasie about Ile Maurice. The Sega was old and the African dancing and music was ok. . The service we got on the entrance and check in was nice and wonderful experience but that soon changed. From a British perspective it would be great as a 1st time , from an actual Mauritius residence perspective it was ok not lux for the value. . No dal puri unless will to pay 3x the amount, no actual zanna confit, no chillies, the nice thing was the mini bar you had to stock up on yourself. It was an interesting and incredible experience as an outsider looking into the culture , but as an insider not very aspirational.. was meh..

First trip to Mauritius and it was perfect. Such friendly and welcoming staff, got the all-in all-out package and was well worth it. Could not have asked for a better experience, may be a 3 star hotel but I'm not sure what else I would have required for a better experience. Anyone who visits must try the Otentik dinner experience, to be welcomed into someone's home and treated like family for dinner was amazing. Manuela is such a bubbly and lively person, probably the best part of our trip. Right across the road from the beach, near other perfect beaches too, great location. Will miss this place dearly.

Nice place to chill with family. The staffs are welcoming and helpful. We visited the hotel for the second time. Our children liked the heated swimming pool. On the flip side, I felt that the kids club could be a little bit more organized. The staffs should be trained to ensure safety of the children under their responsibility at all times.

The hotel is beautiful, however, the housekeeping is bad. I saw a rat and few cockroaches in the restaurant. The rooms were not properly cleaned. There is very little entertainment outside the hotel and visitors must know that they may be stuck in the hotel and on the beachfront in order to have fun.

Overall you pay for what you receive. Staff generally are impressive whilst the resort estate is kept in excellent order. Room cleaners are perfect too. Some of the infrastructure is tired but not too bad. Wild dogs can be heard barking at night and some amenity workers are not respectful for quiet in the mornings. Highly recommend this location and the hotel overall. If considering coming here yourself, as a highly experienced traveller, I’d say you’d be lucky to experience better unless you pay 5*.

We have spent a wonderful 2 weeks here. It is in a wonderful location just a short walk into Flic en Flac.Reading some of the negative reviews on here it is difficult to believe it is the same place. We loved the food, the variety and quality was fabulous, the service was mostly great and overall all the staff were very courteous and welcoming. On 4 occasions senior managers came round at dinner to introduce themselves and ensure we were happy with things. We had a fabulous holiday and will be highly recommending a stay here to all our relatives and friends. Thank you to all the staff.

I regret to say that Anelia Hotel was the worst hotel experience we've ever had. My sister chose this venue for her wedding, and unfortunately, the service fell really short of our expectations. To start with, the minibars in the rooms were completely empty—something that felt incredibly basic and disappointing for a supposedly four-star hotel. Breakfast options were equally lacking, with only black tea and coffee available, which is hardly what you’d expect from a four-star. We ordered and paid our preferred coffee which was absolutely disgusting. It is the first time we actually felt that locals were not welcome in a hotel. The lack of service and attention to detail was glaring throughout our stay. It’s clear that Anelia Hotel does not live up to its four-star rating. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere if you value quality service!

I recently stayed there and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff at the restaurant and bar were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel well cared for. However, there were several aspects that could be improved.There was no clear explanation of the hotel's activities, and prices were not provided, leaving us unsure of what was available and at what cost. The concept of the minibar was also confusing. Instead of having it stocked in the room, we were required to collect items from the hotel boutique, despite the minibar being advertised as inclusive. It would have been more convenient if the minibar was stocked daily, as it felt like we had to ask for what was promised.Additionally, the pool was not heated, which was a disappointment. Overall, while the service at the restaurant and bar was excellent, other areas of the hotel fell short of expectations.

From check-in till check-out you could just relax and enjoy your holiday. All the staff were so helpful and serviceminded. The rooms are nice and the garden is beautiful. The ladies at the Poz Spa were great, we went twice for massage. All-inclusive was really really good, better than expected. Great breakfast with the lovely lady who made omellets and eggs. Good lunchbuffét with lot of dishes to choose from (pizza everyday if you like 😊), you can also order from a meny at the entrance. Good dinnerbuffet with planty of dishes (international and mauritian) And the desserts! Omg so many delicious to choose from, both at lunch and dinner. Thank you Ruben! A lot of cocktails in the all-inclusive at the beach bar. Thank you Jordan and Ray for good service! Entertainment at the beachbar every night 👍 Beach were wonderful with plenty of sunbeds. Snorkling just outside the hotel is okay, many different fishes. Thank you all at Friday Attitude for making our holiday the best!💛 Hopefully we will be back!

A gem! It is a beach front sweet spot where pocket and awesomeness meet. Small enough not get trampled, big hearted in so many ways. Competent and friendly staff, though we did not get much chance to interact as we were always on the beach or in the sea or somewhere close! Perfect for snorkeling right at your at your doorstep. Ruben, the pastry chef made us feel more than always welcome with his delightful cakes and pastries or something special! At night, there were always something happening at the beach bar to watch or participate in while you have that authentic island cocktail. We would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to really experience and enjoy a Mauritius stay.

Great hotel in a lovely location. The bar and restaurant area is clean and serves tasty food and drinks. The staff are great and make you feel special. The rooms are clean and the pool area, although small is ideal to cool off. There is a local bus service that runs to flaq market that is an experience and must be tried.

Had a wonderful 2 days stay at Ravenala. Food was good at the restaurants, however, buffet wasn’t the best. Kevin, our aqua gym tutor was wonderful. All his activities were fun and he took the time to show us how to play “petang” Overall, we had a wonderful time at the resort. I would recommend for sure.

What can I say about this place From the moment we pulled up outside reception we were treated like royalty. Outstanding service from every single member of staff ground staff included. Nothing was to much trouble. The suite we were given was massive with the largest balcony I have ever seen, had to be at least 15m long!!!! The suite itself was cleaned daily The location was perfect we hired a car and explored the island. The food was excellent and plenty of choice. The beach was amazing with plenty of things to do, The bar's were also amazing with great staff. I have never stayed at such a friendly hotel. All the staff worked very hard to ensure everyone had a great experience. Some day all hotels will operate this way

Very nice hotel with friendly staffs. Food was very good and they have a large variety of good and well prepared cocktails. Their client services are amazing. We faced an issue with our AC in our room, without hesitation, to remediate for this, the hotel offered us an executive seafront view rooms with a free upgrade from full board to all inclusive package. This act was really appreciated from us. They also contacted us to take an update if we were well settled and if everything going fine. This level of services is beyond words to describe. Akshay who led us to our room was very friendly and nice. A must go hotel 😁

We spent 3 memorable nights at Ravenala. Great location with amazing sunsets and plenty of entertainment. Food was really good and we were lucky to have dined at the Riviera. Selva,the chef made an one of the best meals I've had. Kudos! The staff are super friendly as well. Flawless customer service. We had a better time there than some of the 5 stars hotel we stayed at. We already thinking about our next stay there! We did appreciate the hotel's effort to reduce waste and be more environment friendly by using QR codes instead of handing out menus and info. We found this inconvenient at times as we were keen to keep our phones away.

We arrived around 1030am after a long flight from London. Warm reception although we had to wait in the lobby till 3pm check in time as our room was not ready. Walked into a spacious family suite with a wet floor which had been hastily cleaned. The resort facilities were great, lots of activities including tennis, table tennis, beach volleyball which we enjoyed. We also made use of the hotels boat cruises and kayaking. The pools were amazing especially the warmed up family one, we enjoyed the gym although it felt a little small for the size of the resort. The food was great, we were on half board basis although the snacks and lunch menu was rather pricey. Staff were all great and the chef offered some decent desert alternatives for our lactose intolerant daughter. Overall, a beautiful resort by a well maintained clean beach- we were also very grateful for being allowed to check out late at 5pm on our departure day as we had a 9pm flight back to London

Had a nice weekend despite the bad weather. The Luxury Room was very cosy with a very comfortable King Size bed and there was even a small balcony with the seaside view. The Food was very delicious and the staff really friendly. A really pleasant surprise was the presence of a Green Parrot who is a permanent resident of the hotel and who moves around freely within the hotel's compound. I really also appreciated the free filtered water dispensers near the rooms so as the residents can refill their water bottles at their ease! However, the green water at the entrance quite spoil the charm of the hotel and i recon a more cleaner water would certainly add value the entrance and give customers a better first impression!

It was my first time visiting Mauritius and my stay at this hotel make it 10 times more memorable. From the splendid and clean room, to the variety and delicious foods, this hotel is a 10/10. What make it a high quality hotel is the service. Everyone was so kind and always available, they care about your well being and always make sure everything suits you. Everywhere you going at this hotel, they’re asking you about your day and if you’re doing good. In addition, the hotel itself is splendid with a variety of activity. As someone who travel a lot, I will not forget about this experience and 100% recommend this hotel.

We went as a family of 4 and were staying in the family suite. First impression was great with the great sense of initiative from the staff to assist with luggage etc. Staff were very kind and helpful. We had a little hick up during out stay, which thankfully lasted for a while day only, as my daughter and myself suffered from food poisoning. We did not know exactly what was the cause but the hotel representatives handled it quite well by offering their support. We forgot my younger daughter's cuddly toy when we were checking-out and the staff even called to ask to find a way to send it back to us which showed great empathy. I'm not giving it more than 8 as rating as I think some improvements are required with the service provided by the staff at the buffet restaurant. I had to ask for straws for my daugthers' beverages a few times. We had a couple of occasions when service was delayed during dinner. On one instance our drinks came so late that we had even finished our dessert. The staff serving us then was clearly distracted on his phone and had asked us to repeat our beverage orders again before bringing it quite late.

We had a very pleasant stay. Room was spacious and well located next to a zen garden. The heated pool was great, specially appreciated by my kids. All staff members were kind and helpful. The dinner buffet could have been a little bit more elaborate but overall we had a great weekend.

Lovely stay at this hotel. Staff couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. My husband and I had great massages in the spa by Stessy and Aurore. We loved the beach, and both bars. We were pleased we had the all inclusive package, and whilst we enjoyed breakfasts and lunches in the main restaurant, we preferred the evening meals in the Sandy village. We hired taxis to do trips around the north and then the south of the island which were both good. The superior room package included a catamaran trip. 10 days went too quickly, would recommend.

We recently stayed at this beautiful resort and had an overall fantastic experience. The beach and surrounding grounds are stunning, with plenty of sunbeds available to relax on. The hotel’s location on the island is excellent, making it a perfect base for exploring. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made us feel special right from the start. Breakfast and dinner was very nice with a selection of meals every day. The pools and restaurants were excellent, and there were always plenty of clean towels on hand. Our room was spacious and very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in Sandy Lane part. To be honest not sure I would stay in the other part as the buffet food was very repetitive where the Sandy Lane Grill which was included has a different menu every night. All staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem for them. We had a late flight home and received a complimentary late check out until the time we needed to leave for the airport. Complimentary catamaran cruise included which was an enjoyable day. Would recommend for anyone wanting Adults only area and isn’t bothered by being in the centre of a resort

Stayed in October 2024. I've been lucky to stay in 2 luxary hotels in a row and I still think Sands Suites Resort & Spa is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Everything is very clean, they don't use paper napkins even in a WC next to the reception, everything is made of fabric and perfectly white. There are 3 restaurants to choose from and I really enjoyed every meal there. In the wellness centre there is hammam, sauna and a whirlpool bath,massage. The room cleaning was ninja, we never saw them and they never disturbed us in the room, but once a day the room was cleaned, the towels were changed and twice a day we had a bottle of still water per person. In the evenings we also found a little bar of chocolate and a wish of a good night on the bed. All these little details made our stay really cozy. There is an artificial barrier next to the hotel which protects the beach from waves and makes it safe for unsure swimmers. The beach isn't for snorkeling though, there's nothing to see just next to the hotel. However, there are free rides for snorkeling and glass-bottom boats offered by the hotel. Most of the staff I talked to spoke English and/or French fluently. At the reception one can exchange euros, dollars, the rate is better at the airport though.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and it was really amazing. I like how quiet is this place and how much do they provided a high quality service. Staff were very polite and their hospitality was amazing. a special thanks to Mr. Farhan,, The Location was adjacent to many attractions with with easy access to all the attractions in the west and south. I get a massage in the spa and it was one of my best experiences ever the dinner buffet maybe need to add some varieties, the breakfast buffet was very excellent. the first day we asked them for early preparation for breakfast because we had an early trip and they prepared it for us, well not as expected but it was a nice service provided by them

We spent 4 nights at this resort and it was really amazing. Staff was very polite and their hospitality was amazing. They even arranged Indian vegetarian dinner for us for all days as the standard buffet had majorly non veg dishes. Location is just on point with easy access to all the attractions nearby.

Fantastic experience staying at Long Beach. The reliability of their services stood out: everything worked as expected. The staff was attentive, the amenities were great, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. Many food options. I especially liked the buffet breakfast. The beach itself is super nice. It can get a bit windy in winter, so water sports can be hard to time. (Not the hotel's fault though.) Highly recommend for a hassle-free stay!

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! We came for the first time early February and just keep coming back. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The location is serene but the thing that really makes this hotel stand out is the service. The people who work at Long Beach are so hospitable and really go above and beyond to ensure our time is relaxing and enjoyable. I particularly want to mention Oliver who works in hospitality by the Beach Bar. Oliver has gives us 5 star service every time . Fantastic Customer Service, Great Amenities, but Service Can Be Slow I recently stayed at Longbeach Mauritius, and overall, I had a great experience. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the customer service. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable. I felt valued as a guest, and I appreciated that they treated everyone with equal respect, with no signs of discrimination. The water activities and the spa were definite highlights of my stay. The range of water activities was impressive and well-organized, providing a fun and relaxing way to enjoy the surroundings. The spa was equally fantastic, offering a peaceful atmosphere and excellent treatments—perfect for unwinding after a long day. However, I did notice that the service, particularly in the restaurant and bar service, could be a bit slow at times. While this wasn't a huge issue for me, it’s something to keep in mind if you're on a tight schedule. Another area for improvement would be the availability of power outlets in the room. There were very few plugs, making it inconvenient to charge devices, especially in today's tech-driven world. Despite these minor inconveniences, I believe the hotel offers good value for money. The facilities were well-maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxing. If you're looking for a place with excellent hospitality and great amenities, I would definitely recommend staying here.

My family and I were on vacay in our home country and as usual we always spend a couple of nights in a hotel. Long Beach was high on our list. Finally found a deal and we booked 2 nights. I will start with the positive points; their rooms were very comfortable and clean. I had one of the best sleep, I even spent the whole day in bed. Their kids club is one of the best as well. We even had the option of getting a babysitter for my toddler which allowed me to truly rest, for a fee. Thank you! The lunch option too was great, and the entertainment with live music too was nice, except not having all drinks being part of the all inclusive deals. Only pop and beer, no juice which is not great for kids. But Truly your staff feels overwhelmed with work. From the check in point, it seems you guys are understaffed, waiting to be serve from breakfast to supper, us having to go to one of your staff to ask to be served through our stay is not acceptable. Your buffet options too feels truly underwhelming. I was not expecting the quality of your food to be that level for a 4.5 stars hotel After our stay at Long Beach we went to a hotel with under 4 stars and our experience was far better than at Long Beach.

This has to be the best resort in Mauritius. A perfect place to get the nature's vibe along with all the modern comfort and amenities. Food here is great. Hospitality of the staff members is unimaginable. Eat your lunch looking at the ocean. Swimming pool, steam room, ice bath, jacuzzi, gym, tennis court, water sports, outdoor sports, you name it they have it all. A perfect staycation for each and everyone.

Beach amazing, sun loungers comfortable. Staff really nice. Rooms and restaurants are a little tired but well kept and clean. Service is on 'Mauritius time' so never quick 😆. Only issue I had was the cats, not sure letting cats roam around the restaurants when guests eating begging at tables for food, one of them looked unwell so we kept our distance and shooed them away from us. Definitely go back, water sports etc were really good too.

We had a reservation at this hotel, which we had to cancel due to the incompetence of some of the hotel employees. Considering that on the hotel page it is specified that it organizes weddings, we have requested a brochure with the offers, which we received after a few days. We have chosen one of the options and sent an email to the hotel for confirmation and after a few days we received an email stating that they do not organize such events for people who are not staying at the hotel, even though we specified in the email that we have a reservation at the hotel, a reservation that can be verified very easily. I came back with another email in which I specified again that we have a reservation and their answer was "it's not possible anyway". By the answers we received in the email, we realized that they did not even read our requests, which is why we decided to cancel the reservation at this hotel.

Our stay at La Pirogue was amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel at home. Kelly at reception was incredible, helping us sort out a problem with our SIM card. We had an amazing birthday surprise for my mother-in-law, thanks to everyone who made it happen. Special shoutout to Mommy in the kitchen for her delicious food and friendly nature. Deborah and Tatiana were also wonderful, making our stay even more special. Overall, the service was 5-star. We felt so welcomed and taken care of. We can't wait to come back! The beach is so beautiful and the swiming pool and gardens are simply breathtaking. All the staff makes you feel welcome. The hotel has lots of activities every day. Totally recommended.

We had a very nice time there in June. Nice location , good Staff & the food was great. The Resort is very big and you can use the Sugar Beach also! BUT we loved the priogue the staff was so much friendlier there. Especially best wishes to Tariq from the reception and the tall Manager from the restaurant i sadly forget is name. The did everything to give us a nice dinner, because they dont treated us well at Sugar Beach restaurant. So thank you for everything!

Very convenient and close to the airport. Rooms are clean and well organized but the corridors are noise and you can hear anyone walking outside. Amazing pool area with sea view. Food at the restaurant is basic, breakfast menu is good not excellent not bad. At lunch I ordered some shrimps but honestly nothing special and overpriced. Great places to walk around and have contact with nature. Just few walking distance to the beach.

Anantara We stayed at Anantara for one week in September with half board. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel for the below reasons: - Food is great and especially the Sea Fire Salt (SFS) restaurant which is included in the half board. The food is refined and service excellent. It was the highlight of our stay. The buffet at Horizon has quite good food too but we're not a fan of buffet especially not for dinner. - Spacious complex and very well thought areas around the beach and the pool which doesn't feel like you are in a big hotel. The beach is beautiful and well furnished with many sunchairs. - Anantara Spa is such a treat, the staff is amazing and the choice of treatment very diverse. - The activities and facilities available are amazing, we played tennis almost every day and there were also Activities such as pilates, hiking, creole lesson, wine tasting etc... all are available on the hotel app and can be booked easily. All the staff was kind and helpful but we really appreciated Rakesh and his team at SFS (Kelvin, Trishna, Akilesh and everyone else!!). The spa staff and therapists (Rishi and Rashan) were also extremely nice and the breakfast buffet team were always smiling and greeting everyone joyfully. Overall it was a really good stay and we definitely want to come back. On the improvements points the only thing we would say is the room cleanliness which could be better for a 5-star hotel and also the fact that the nice A La Carte restaurant don't have an adults only policy after a certain hour so it can be sometimes less enjoyable when young children are around.

Overall resort is nice but its not the same level of Anantara in Maldives. We chose it because it’s near the airport. The beach is clean The food in the bar and breakfast are delicious. The staff are friendly. They need to be more professional in cleaning What I don’t like they came to our room in the check out 2 times to see the fridge to make sure that we don’t drink anything ! I stayed is many 5 stars hotel and resorts. They just ask the guest if they drink something. It makes me feel like they do not trust the guests.

The resort is great, the location is excellent, and the beach is one of the best beaches I have seen, but I do not recommend swimming there due to the strength of the waves in July when I visited the resort. Unfortunately, the cleanliness does not reach the level of a 5-star resort, nor does the service. Most of the workers were slow to respond to requests and did not have high professionalism, and many of them were unfortunately not cheerful or smiling. I was not happy dealing with Mr. Karim at the reception because of his lack of cheerfulness and his lack of interest in satisfying the guests, as happened with the group I was accompanying. In return, I thank Mr. Nicholas for his good treatment and his keenness to make my stay better and more comfortable. I do not think about returning to the resort unless the service improves and the level of attention to cleanliness increases.

We spent part of honeymoon here and had a good time. The hotel feels very exclusive and private. Food was excellent, service was top notch. The private island is the highlight of the whole resort, we went several times and really enjoyed the experience.

Shangri-la hotel is on the east side of the island and maybe that's why but the wind was really strong every day so we could not go snorkeling although we booked the tour every morning. My husband tried snorkeling twice on the east coast but there was no tropical fish he could see... The hotel itself is awesome, service is great, buffet breakfast and dinner are with great variations, everywhere is clean and they gave us a brilliant surprise of the birthday message for my husband on the bed with flowers. The gym is big enough for the holiday period and not too busy.

From the moment we arrived until the sad time we departed, the team at Le Touessrok was truly exemplary. Having traveled extensively and stayed at many premium hotels around the world, I can confidently say that I have never experienced a hotel where the entire team was so perfectly trained to meet and assist every need a guest may have. After a grueling 12-hour flight, the arrival team welcomed us wonderfully. Our room was ready immediately and prepared to perfection. Each of the restaurants, including the buffet, delivered amazing levels of cuisine. The beach and poolside teams responded to all our requests with a smile and a constant message of "nothing is a problem, you're on your holiday, enjoy and relax." The live entertainment at night was wonderful and varied, and the spa treatments we experienced were heavenly. An attempt by myself to offer the bar staff a drink on the final night was met with a polite dismissal, with the bar team explaining that it was their job to provide us with drinks to enable us to fully relax and enjoy our holiday. The only slight mishap we encountered was with a boat trip that was booked by the concierge. Through no fault of the hotel or the concierge, our boat had to be changed at the last minute, which meant we couldn't quite complete the itinerary as promised. However, when the concierge happened to ask how our day went upon our return, I mentioned the slight issue, not as a complaint, but to provide feedback. I stressed that it did not detract from our overall experience. The concierge immediately apologized and said the hotel would look into it. Despite my protests, explaining it wasn't necessary, later that evening Nathaniel, the Duty Manager, found us in the restaurant and personally apologized. He explained that they had arranged for the boat trip to take place with the full itinerary the next day! This amazing service and attention to detail summed up the whole experience for us. Our next destination will be chosen based on the availability of other Shangri-La Hotels, and we will definitely return to Le Touessrok.

Stayed 5 nights at Shangri-La and it was the best stay compared to the other 3 resorts we visited during my trip to Mauritius. Resort and rooms are clean and insects free, resort staff and room service is excellent. Variety of food options and at the highest level of professionalism. Variety of activities are available as well. The resort is overall well designed and very “walkable”.

We stayed here for the 2nd time earlier this year and loved it every bit as much as the first time. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very nice and comfortable, and there are lots of delicious food options. But the best thing about this hotel are the staff members. Everyone I have interacted with across both stays was so kind and friendly. The staff who help with your luggage when you arrive, the staff at the reception, the ladies in the kids club, the staff who tidy the rooms, the wait and kitchen staff in the restaurants, the groundskeepers, the hotel manager, and everyone else made us feel very welcome. I can not speak highly enough about the people working at the Shanti Maurice. After our first visit I said that "I can't wait to come back" and after the second visit, I feel the same way.

There are hundreds of places that have amazing views, amazing sunsets - but when the location has a certain vibe on discomfort and fellow guests are rude - and because they have even more money - they are not addressed. July was the month Saudis come to stay here. Constantly, they blew their nose and let the Kleenex fly everywhere during breakfast. The staff also complained at their lack of respect. That left their children in room next door that were screaming and we had to repeatedly ask them to be quiet - then ask staff to find their parents as they were causing trouble. A regular German family who often came had children hitting staff even though the GM would stop and say hello to her. The children were not supervised and staff stated that they cannot do anything about children taking things off our table. The restaurant is one that has 4 menus. It is one restaurant. When we arrived they said you need 24 hours to make reservations at two other restaurants they have - we pushed back and they found spots. Each time we went both were dead. The requirement that you wear pants and shoes - and an appropriate shirt was not enforced even though they said it many many time to us. Men showed up in shorts, tshirts, sweatpants and flip flops - only the women in burkas appeared to be following anything more formal. It was really odd as they say they have rules and want to be high end - but when people just do whatever they want and ignore - it’s not a great environment. As an LGBT couple that is low key - to be addressed as Mr and Mrs - and have guests from Saudi and some staff show their significant discomfort made it sadly not a place we felt welcome. The staff tried to make it better - but it was not genuine. It was like - we need to fix this as it doesn’t look good. Ask for a male massage therapist and they said it was a 2-3 day wait. They appeared to not understand that I preferred a male therapist but finally after feeling uncomfortable they said ok. We had massages by another person and we both felt like we had been oiled and ready to be put into the oven to be cooked. No pressure, lots of oil and a waste. It was a complimentary couples massage but put us in separate rooms as they said “you don’t want to be in the same room right?” What two guys getting a couples massage? Our toilet had flooded the bathroom floor before we checked in at 10:30 pm. The next morning they came and fixed it. The outlet next to my bed didn’t work and it was not worth mentioning it at this point as it was just another thing. Noise from the people next door was significant and then we had guests above us with a child that cried and cried some nights for hours. It sounded like moving furniture and we were in our 4th night and they offered to move us - repacking and unpacking again with three nights left? With a number of units empty they had to put someone with a newborn right above us. Because of the number of nights and room we had a dedicated concierge that was missing in action. I tried to use it Shanti app and had no luck and was told to contact the restaurant directly. WiFi didn’t work on the beach in front of your room or on your terrace. The first two days it did then it would disappear. I asked and they offered help - we gave up on day three as you can’t keep complaining - it is supposed to be relaxing and we were already regretting this stay. I assume the GM will not be happy. Brian was often with his hat walking around the development, enjoying a few drinks and dinner at the specialty restaurant, walking around to say hello to some of the special guests. It would have been nice if he said “hey, you know I am sorry that I addressed over and over as Mr and Mrs. That would have gone far. Don’t send a bottle of champagne to people that don’t drink and it was noted also in reservation. We cannot recommend this place. It was a waste of a 24 hour flight, a waste of money and sadly left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable after a getaway.
