This beautiful boutique hotel offers high-quality food, a wonderful atmosphere, and beautifully appointed rooms. The beach features soft white sand( same is Mexico)and is impeccably clean. The ocean and pool waters are always warm, thanks to the pleasant local climate. The spa is exceptional, with highly skilled professionals providing top-notch massage and facial treatments. The staff is incredibly friendly, offering excellent customer service. The hotel is ideal for adults, with fewer children around, though there is a small playground both indoors and outdoors, there are moving night on the beach for kids and adult, along with craft and cooking activities for younger guests and the hotel is offering hourly nany for $20USD.
The only downside is that the hotel is about an hour’s drive from the airport. Overall, it’s a peaceful and highly enjoyable experience.

A beautiful hotel with a stunning location, peaceful atmosphere, and exceptional service. The staff is incredibly warm and attentive – a special thanks to Paloma for her outstanding efforts, which made our (extended) stay unforgettable. Also a perfect spot for divers and kite surfers. Highly recommended!

I’m only writing this review to highlight Abdul from the restaurant. My husband and I visited this resort for the first time and he was the one to take care of us the first day. His energy was so amazing. It’s very refreshing to meet someone so genuine and kind. We loved him so much we wanted to see him again the next day. Abdul is a huge asset and such a positive vibe to this hotel. Wonderful wonderful human!!! 🤍🤍🤍

Our stay at Lux Marijani Hotel in Zanzibar was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality that made us feel at home in this tropical paradise.
The property itself is a perfect blend of modern luxury and authentic Zanzibari charm. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully designed, offering breathtaking views of the turquoise ocean.
The hotel’s facilities are world-class, with a stunning infinity pool, lush gardens, and a pristine private beach.
The dining experience was great as well, with a variety of delicious options showcasing fresh, local ingredients. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to ensure every meal was perfect.
What truly sets Lux Marijani apart is its incredible staff. Every team member we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to make our stay unforgettable.
The hotel is also child friendly with nanny service available for $20/hour and a number of activities throughout the day. There is also entertainment at night after dinner service.
One downside, which is not related to the hotel is the number of gift and excursion paddlers on the beach. As soon as you step your foot on the beach you are surrounded by at least 2-3 people trying to sell you either gifts or excursions. There is about 30 of these individuals at anytime that will come to speak to you in turns. It gets a bit frustrating at times, but it’s not just this hotel. It’s all over the island.
Shoutout to the hard working staff including Temba, Salome, Haji, Mirsho, Alex and bunch more that I had a pleasure of interacting with.
