I stayed at Nexus Resort in Kota Kinabalu for 3 days and it was the perfect place to relax in nature. The resort feels classic and elegant, set right in front of the beach, so you can enjoy both ocean and forest views at the same time. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was fairy good and dining options were nice. I especially loved the afternoon tea at the lobby café – it had a wide selection, a cozy atmosphere, and everything was look beautiful to enjoy. The swimming pool was spacious enough to use freely the highlight of my stay was definitely the sunset bar right by the sea. Watching the sunset while dining there was truly memorable and will stay with me for a long time.

Very relaxing atmosphere, nice and quiet, and great value for money. Only critiques were that a lot of the restaurants were closed, but we enjoyed the food nonetheless. Also, we had a couple instances with customer service, however, they were very respectful. The resort offers a wide range of activities to keep busy, so you won’t get bored. Overall, a very lovely trip especially for a couple looking for a little getaway!

I like the nature environment, really this is the best place I have found in Kota Kinabalu area. This place is far from the traffic, located between the woods, hills and ocean. The Beach is also kept clean. I snorkeled in the sea -- so clean. The breakfast is OK. Lunch menu have enough to satisfy everyone. Other water sports activities are provided as well as s number of enjoyment proposals.

Stayed at Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai and truly enjoyed it. Even though it rained during my stay, the place had such a calm and cozy atmosphere. The beach view was beautiful, staff were friendly, and the Tom Yum Goong and Nasi Goreng were delicious. Perfect getaway!

A Fantastic Stay and Dining Experience at Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai Our stay at Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at the reception who made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. The room we stayed in was very clean, spacious, and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The resort itself is stunning. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and a very clean, serene beach that offers breathtaking views, especially during sunrise and sunset. The swimming pool was also impressively clean, and the staff at the pool area were not only friendly but also very helpful in explaining the safety rules and available facilities. We felt very well taken care of. When it comes to food, we were more than satisfied. The dishes we tried were delicious and truly lived up to their taste. The spaghetti was rich and flavorful, and the local dish came with a wonderful variety of items that were all cooked to perfection. The food was definitely worth the price, both in terms of quality and portion size. The dining staff were also very friendly and made our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai offers a perfect combination of comfort, beautiful surroundings, delicious food, and exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Sabah. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

We had a good stay, room interior is modern although the ceiling height specially along hallway is quite low that you can literally touch if your height is 5'8 and above. Room is clean as well and staffs are accommodating and friendly. Location is a bit subjective but as for me, I don't like the view as it is fronting the market place but all other seafood restaurants, bars, and other stuffs are just a walk away so it's a bit of compromise between good view and convenience.

We had a fantastic stay at the Le Meridien KK. Its location opposite the waterfront is what we definitely wanted. Not only does the hotel offer great views of the city and waterfront but tremendous views of planes on their final approach to KK. A winner for us especially from the Club Lounge and rooftop bar. The rooms and facilities were great and the food for breakfast had everything you could want. Both western and Asian food was available and the staff looked after you really well. We were lucky to have a club room and had an amazing time in the Club lounge. The staff were professional, friendly and welcoming which made our stay even better. We would like to thank Nizar, Regina, Christiana, Angela, Laurian, Reazie and Malcolm for their hospitality and excellent customer service. To Rizan thank you for helping us when our flights were canceled and we had to reschedule for another day. Meeting you and Suresh your GM, was a pleasure. Please thank Nova at reception for sorting out our rescheduling. We celebrated a special birthday at Favola and had a wonderful dinner together. The food was great and the service felt like we were family. We recommend anyone having a special occasion to come celebrate at this restaurant. The staff here definitely made our stay memorable.

Come and book a club room here Regina and the rest of t he team will treat you like royalty. All the staff are highly trained professionals and friendly. The room is generous and the bed extremely comfortable. The sunset view from the club lounge is spectacular. Enjoy the sunset will having cocktails made and brought to your table eating seriously good food. Regina has an incredible memory and if you visit again she will bring you your favourite tipple. We have been made to feel very welcome like valued guests each stay. We are already planning our return trip.

Stayed here for 3 nights on my first trip to Borneo and loved it! I booked a city-view king room but got upgraded to the top floor with a sea view. On Sept 1 (Malaysia’s Independence Day), I even watched the fireworks from my room—amazing! 🎆 The room was modern and simple but felt classy. The bathroom was super clean with strong shower pressure and smooth drainage. The hairdryer was a powerful Philips model right at the sink, which was a nice touch. I also tried the breakfast buffet for three days. The food variety was great, reflecting Malaysia’s multicultural flavors. Some service issues, though: staff sometimes rushed to clear plates while I was still eating, and a few looked a bit untidy with loose aprons or undone buttons. The noodle station staff seemed a little inexperienced—some guidance or supervision would make a big difference. Overall, a fantastic stay with thoughtful touches and delicious food. Highly recommend Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu for first-time visitors to Borneo!

I had a pleasant stay at Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the service throughout my stay was very good. However, I noticed that the drinking water from the water dispenser at the ballroom tasted unusual, and a few people even experienced sore throats after consuming it. I sincerely hope the hotel will look into this matter and take the necessary action, perhaps by servicing or replacing the dispenser. Overall, despite this issue, my experience at the hotel was enjoyable.
