We had an excellent stay here. Lovely room and the most amazing beds. The bedding and pillows were the best that we have ever experienced. The Staff were outstanding, particularly Anna Wong in the restaurant, who catered for all of my wife's dietary requirements. Well done Le Meridian we will definitely be back.

from the photos one would have the impression of a modern minimalist hotel/ resort which it is not, however the property does get better with the newly furnished and well kept rooms. the staff are warm and take pride in their service. the hotel is also very centrally situated with access to good restaurants, shops and markets nearby. we had access to the executive lounge which had commanding views of the sea and of course good service... which made all the difference.

Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu offers an unbeatable location and an amazing overall experience. The highlight of our stay was the incredible view from the club lounge, which made every visit feel special. The drink selection in the lounge was impressive, and the food offerings were sufficient for dinner on some nights. However, the service in the club lounge was slightly disappointing. Some staff members were attentive and provided excellent service, but others seemed distracted, often on their phones, and were chatting loudly, which disrupted the otherwise relaxing atmosphere. This was frustrating given that the club lounge is marketed as a more exclusive, executive experience. That said, the rest of the hotel experience was fantastic, and I would still recommend it to others. If the hotel would like to follow up, I am happy to provide more details about my experience to help improve future stays.

I wish I could read negative reviews carefully so that I could choose a newer hotel. Check in time was 3 pm but I waited untill 4:30pm because a room was not ready. I was so exhausted from long flights but if what can do if a room is not ready.. From the website pictures, it appears nice and new but it is not. The smell of the bathroom was unable to tolerate. Because the smell, I closed the bathroom door. When I used bathroom, it had stronger smell. The drain is backed up. It's really typical for old hotel to have issues. The wall is thin, made me awake at night because of the room above me, kids were running and screaming. The crpet had stains and window is dirty, I can't enjoy the ocean view. Pro Hotel staff are friendly. Location is good.

Great experience here! All staff are really kind and friendly.. I want to thank so much with the Concierge counter for giving me direction to the Hall that I need to go they deserve pay rise for it because They're really kind to tell me because I can't find where's the Info desk.. Thank you for attend me on my 1st visit I really thankful for them!! Overall Nice place all staff also Friendly keep up the great attitude and Hope you guys Can keep like this in long run!! Will Book room next time!!

Nexus resort is beautiful and generally well maintained, and The service was good too. However The initial room we got was quite worn and old and felt dirty, we requested to change to a different room which ended up being much better. Loved the private beach that was accessible from the resort!

I can't imagine this is a 5-star hotel. I was looking forward to staying here because of the Valentine's Day package, which was supposed to include unlimited drinks. However, when I arrived, the staff said the offer had been canceled, but I still saw the offer listed online, and it hadn't been removed. Isn't this deceiving consumers? Upon entering the room, there was a strong musty smell, and the facilities were very outdated. The corners were not cleaned properly. The sink had pubic hairs, the shower head was broken, causing water to spray everywhere, and the towels only provided body towels, no hand towels. The bathtub was very dirty, so my desire to take a bath vanished instantly. The hygiene conditions were really poor. Is it because I'm a local people that I got a room of such poor quality? Before coming, I saw many bad reviews, but I decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately, the experience was exactly like the negative reviews online. Don't tell me you will improve or pay more attention. If you were going to improve, it wouldn't be like this today. I won't be coming back.

Unfortunately a disappointing visit. Hotel was maybe 5 stars in the 90s but now only 3 stars. Service standard is terrible. Our child fell and bumped their head, we asked the reception for a bag of ice and it never arrived to our room. Then called 5-6 times again and it never came. Phones system doesn’t work either. Breakfast area is cramped and crowded. Beds were comfortable but we found cockroaches in our bathroom. The beach is the best asset but the rest of the place old and not worth the money. Food is very expensive and really low quality. Was charged 33ringgit at the pool side for a beer that was 17 in the gift shop. Something’s not right! Go elsewhere!!!!

Our stay at Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai was nothing short of amazing! The resort’s location is absolutely stunning, with a private beach and lush greenery that create the perfect tropical escape. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, offering breathtaking views of the sea. We loved the infinity pool and the relaxing spa treatments, both of which added to the luxury experience. The dining options were excellent, featuring a variety of dishes from local to international cuisines, all prepared with great care. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Whether it was enjoying water sports, exploring the nearby nature trails, or simply soaking in the serene atmosphere, there was never a dull moment. If you’re looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway, Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back! 🌴

The resort is quite big, and beautiful. It has many amenities, such as a gym, a nice swimming pool, alongside others. The beach is also clean. The rooms are very cozy. Overall a very enjoyable experience. 10/10.
