Nha Trang Highlights

No Vietnam Holiday would be complete without a huge, sacred Buddha, and holidays to Nha Trang are no exception. High on a hilltop behind the Long Son Pagoda temple is a enormous white Buddha, seated on a lotus blossom. This sacred statue watches over the resort, and is a great place for reflection and peace, away from the hustle and bustle of the main town.

Two kilometres north of central Nha Trang lies the ancient Cham Towers. The exact date that these structures were built is not known, but they’re thought to have been constructed at some point between the 7th and 12th centuries. Still actively used for worship, the towers are a wonderful opportunity to get to know Nha Trang before mass tourism took off.

It’s no secret that one of the main attractions of Nha Trang is the magnificent 6km long sandy beach that fringes the resort. It’s fantastic for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing, and there’s a delightful promenade that’s perfect for enjoying an afternoon stroll.

Adventure-seekers will love exploring the Ba Ho Falls, which are located about 20km north of Nha Trang. Take a hike upstream to see all three falls, but be sure to wear suitable footwear as these can get rather slippery.

Nha Trang Weather

Nha Trang has a tropical climate, meaning that the resort enjoys year-round hot temperatures. There is, however, distinctive wet and dry seasons, meaning that the best time to visit Nha Trang is between January and August. September to December is the monsoon season.
