We had a pleasant stay at the Avista, stunning hotel with really lovely pool areas. Great food and drink. Gorgeous room and very comfortable. Great location - easy access to Patong if you fancy the hustle and bustle for far enough away to escape it. Sizzle and Tambu both excellent restaurants and again with great settings. Only negatives I would say is wine is expensive but we found this in other areas of Phuket as well (particularly Patong) and there did seem to be some bias towards other nationalities. Public areas of the hotel could be quite noisy at night - it would be good if the hotel could remind guests to be quiet in these areas. Also adult pool area too small - a larger area would be great.

Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong – MGallery is truly one of the hidden gems we were lucky to discover. We stayed there over New Year’s, arriving on December 30 and leaving on January 2, and it was honestly the best decision we could have made for our holidays. The hotel is located on a hilltop, away from the madness of Patong, and it genuinely feels like you’re staying in the jungle. The atmosphere is peaceful, private, and beautifully designed. The service and facilities were absolutely top-notch. We were incredibly happy to receive an upgrade to a villa with a private pool, which made the experience even more special. The privacy was perfect, and everything—from the service to the breakfasts—was outstanding. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and proactive; we barely had to ask for anything. We also celebrated New Year’s here, and it was the best New Year’s we’ve ever had. The Sizzle Rooftop Restaurant offers breathtaking sunset views and is perfect for a romantic getaway. An unforgettable stay—we couldn’t recommend it more.

I’d booked the Avista for our honeymoon after months of research and couldn’t have asked for a better property to stay at initialy in Phuket. The staff was great from the get go. My only gripe would be that I couldn’t get a room before the normal check in time of 3 PM. My flight landed at 9:30 AM and I was probably at the hotel by 12PM. The staff mentioned that the previous occupants had not checked out until 2PM and hence our room was delayed and the hotel was fully booked but I have a feeling that might not have been completely true. However, apart from having to wait for 3 hours for the room my stay was great, BB was the nicest to us throughout our stay and gave us great recommendations for things to do in Phuket. This was our first time in Thailand and I’m glad I chose the MGallery property for the initial part of our honeymoon. We’re going back to Phuket from Phi Phi and checking in to the second MGallery property in Karon beach tomorrow and hope to enjoy that as well for our last day in Phuket. P.S. Special mention about Vishal (Leo) at the Vista restaurant who gave us great insights about the various dishes and the original chef’s (Chef Mama) creations that are being continued by the current chef (Chef Rose). That pomelo salad with shrimp in tamarind sauce is out of this world!

We stayed at Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong while traveling as a family of three and had mixed experiences overall. The restaurant and food were good, and the staff were friendly and polite; however, they were clearly very busy, especially during the holiday season. We booked and paid full price months in advance for a Deluxe Family Room for three adults, but upon arrival the room was not prepared accordingly—there were missing towels, robes, and amenities for the third guest. Despite several requests to the front desk and housekeeping, the robes were never delivered during our stay. The hotel location is beautiful and peaceful, and we appreciated the opportunity to explore a different side of Phuket. However, during peak season the overall operations did not feel well managed for a property marketed as a five-star hotel. Having stayed at another five-star hotel in Phuket for five days prior, the difference in service consistency and amenities was noticeable, and Avista felt closer to a four-star experience. We value high-quality service and are good tippers, so this was disappointing. I hope this feedback helps the hotel improve guest preparedness and service standards, especially during busy periods.

I would like to give a special thank you to Butter Pong (Bellman Team), Pueng (Reception), Vishal (Breakfast Restaurant), and Digvijay (Assistant Reservation Manager) for making my 5th anniversary stay truly memorable. Although it was a short stay, the hospitality from everyone was exceptional, with a very warm and genuine welcome throughout. Upon check-in, Khun Pueng greeted us warmly and served a wonderful welcome drink, creating a great first impression. Butter and Pong kindly escorted us to the room and provided a clear and helpful explanation of the room and hotel facilities, which made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of. The room upgrade, beautiful anniversary decoration, and lovely cake were all thoughtful touches that made our celebration extra special. I also truly enjoyed breakfast, where Khun Vishal took excellent care of us and ensured a pleasant dining experience. Thank you once again to the entire team for the amazing hospitality and attention to detail. It was a memorable stay, and I look forward to visiting again in the future.
