I’m giving it 5 stars because the price to value was there. On the pros side, attentive and friendly staff, nice pools with swim up bar, mature landscaping, good security, good value overall. On the cons side, the beach is near the mouth of a river so the water isn’t the Caribbean clear blue water you would hope, the food is okay - not bad, not great, the rooms are older but very clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

This place exceeded all our expectations, the staff are absolutely brilliant all round. Jenna, ‘Nicki Minaj’ and the whole entertainment team were fantastic. The Buffet staff were amazing and courteous, one in particular stood out for us she was the sweetest lady, she is featured in the below photo. Janel on the front desk was brilliant too! So many more were amazing. The food was great, the pool and beach was beautiful, all round we had a fantastic holiday and definitely want to come back.

The property is beautifully designed and landscaped. The grounds and our room were very clean. Most of the staff is friendly and attentive but the Entertainment Team does an excellent job of leading the events and engaging the guests above and beyond expectations. A special thank you to Alfred, Kitty and Genna, who engaged with guests as though we were their friends. Our server at the Buffet for the first few days, Pablo, is a delightful young man who was very friendly and very attentive to our needs.

Carlos, Angelo, Maria, Tinkerbell, Roberto and Vanilla Ice made my trip an absolute blast! Loads of fun activities! Resort was beautiful! Food was amazing! Pool and beach were incredible! I would definitely stay again!

HONEST REVIEW: Beautifully maintained place! Very, very clean! I highly appreciate that. The food was great, the beach is clean and well lit at night which is great as you can spend time there even after dark. The entertainment is superb for all ages. I can complain about anything, really. Yes, the water is not turquoise blue, but the swimming in it is very pleasant as it is calm and warm. I would suggest to give it a shout if you want to stay in gorgeous La Romana and not break the bank.
