This was my first experience with Breathless Soul Cancun, and I must say, "It was amazing". My wife and I spent our fourth wedding anniversary there, and we couldn't have been more impressed. The resort was clean and well maintained. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly. The food was excellent, and plentiful. As people have posted in previous reviews, the beach isn't something out of a romance novel, but it is still nice, and the resort area, is well maintained. I can't overstate the staff's willingness to attend to the guests wants and needs. If I had any complaints whatsoever, it would be regarding the guests rather than the staff. We spent 8 days and 7 nights and visited basically every restaurant and every bar, and i witness guests, over and over, not tipping a single dollar, for service rendered by the staff. I realize this is an all-inclusive resort, but come on people, do the right thing, please. My wife and I will definitely be going back, and plan on making this our Anniversary destination, from now on. Pack up your swimsuits, your sunscreen, your fun personality and good attitude, and you will have a wonderful vacation.

Disappointing Experience
My recent vacation with a friend didn’t quite live up to our expectations. We were excited about the entertainment, but it was really underwhelming; it seemed like no one was enjoying themselves. The food was mediocre at best, which was a letdown considering how much we were looking forward to trying new dishes.
The nightclub was incredibly small, making it difficult to enjoy a night out. We also booked massages, and unfortunately, that was another disappointment. The therapist’s hands smelled strongly of weed, and she didn’t follow my requests at all, leaving me in more pain than I arrived with.
To top it all off, one of the housekeepers stole my friend’s earbuds, valued at $120. It was disheartening to have our things taken while we were trying to relax and enjoy our time.
In contrast, our experience at Breathless Riviera Resort and Spa was exceptional. From the stunning facilities to the incredible service, it was the best vacation we’ve ever had. We definitely won’t be returning to this latest destination!

The resort was breathtaking. The rooms were very clean and moderate. With the over the top services from staff and room service, they were unmatched.
The location of the resort where i was staying was positioned to see the sun set, which was cool because the sun rays at that angle exhibit different variations of light. If your a nightlife person, there was a club for mingling and dancing.

My fiancé and I recently experienced an incredibly disappointing stay at Breathless Riviera Cancun, which marred what was meant to be a special celebration of my birthday and our first trip to Mexico. From the outset, the lack of clear communication regarding policies and procedures was evident. Staff members, including the managers, treated us with a level of disdain that felt unwarranted and harsh.
We encountered a particularly unsettling situation with manager Arvin Farah, who made unfounded allegations against us, leading to an uncomfortable environment where we felt constantly judged and watched. Instead of receiving support, we were met with ultimatums and aggression when we attempted to address our concerns. This approach was shocking, as we never displayed any form of aggression ourselves.
One day before our flight back home, we found ourselves forced to leave, with no opportunity to explain our side of the story. Our experience at Breathless was starkly contrasted by our subsequent stay at the Occidental Hotel Cancun. Though it is rated lower, the treatment we received there was exceptional—something we desperately needed after our experience at Breathless.
Despite our complaints about staff mistreatment, particularly from lifeguards Juan and Ruth, nothing was done to address these issues. Instead, it felt as though voicing our concerns only escalated the situation, leading management to look for reasons to remove us rather than support us.
I later reached out to Breathless management via email to express my disappointment, hoping for some acknowledgment or resolution. Instead, we were accused of policy violations without any evidence, and Arvin gave us a mere 15 minutes to vacate the premises.
The only positive aspect of our stay was the cleaning staff and room service, who were truly outstanding. Unfortunately, the beach was also disappointing—one of the worst I've encountered at a so-called five-star resort. The constant haggling from vendors detracted from any potential relaxation, and the supposed adult-only atmosphere was undermined by the presence of children and locals.
In conclusion, our experience at Breathless Riviera Cancun has left us feeling disillusioned about this destination. The management and staff require significant training in basic customer service and human interaction. I cannot recommend this resort, and it has tarnished our perception of Mexico as a travel destination.

The Breathless Soul is not horrible, but it is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Check-in will impress you. You are hit with a warm towel and drink as soon as you get out of the car. Guest restrooms are clean and have towels to dry your hands. Everything is modern.
The issue is the location and rooms. This is not the beautiful beach Cancun is known for. There is a public access beach, so the lounge chairs and umbrellas are along the fence. The water is not appealing. The room is modern with a tablet to control everything. The key is on your phone, and they have an app to order room service from. My issue with the room was the bathroom. I hate how hotels have the sliding restroom doors because they do not close all the way. This hotel takes it a step further by have a door that does not even close. There is no lock and whoever you share your room with can see and will know what you are doing in the restroom. Another quirk is the shower. It has glass all around and the only curtain is facing the bed. Again, anyone else in the room can see you. Also, there was a strong mold smell in the room that I did not recall having at other Cancun hotels.
The restaurants we ate at were good. We had the steakhouse, Italian, and buffet. The wait staff in the buffet were good and helpful. The other restaurants seemed rushed and short-staffed. They do not take reservations so this could be a problem during busier times, but we never had to wait.
Watch out for the travel club sales pitch. They almost got us by saying we had a special hotel deal that got us a spa service and excursion. Then they slide in that you only have to have breakfast with them to talk about this wonderful opportunity. We read other's reviews on this and quickly cancelled.
