One of the best hotels in Sri Lanka
We recently stayed at Cinnamon Bentota Beach Hotel, and it was an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and ensured we had a wonderful vacation. The hotel's garden, pools were stunning and creates such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and dinner buffet was out of the world. It was the best dinner buffer that I ever had. Our room was spotless with a lovely arrangement. The kids play area was also very useful and helped us to keep our daughter busy.
From the hotel management to all the staff working together and they wanted to make sure that every guest having a memorable stay there. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway.

Cinnamon Bentota Beach exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with such warmth and care, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. The rooms were elegant and spacious, offering stunning views and ultimate comfort. The food was absolutely divine. Each meal felt like a culinary masterpiece. The beach and the lagoon beside the hotel added to the charm, creating the most relaxing atmosphere. We were truly pampered throughout our stay, and I can’t wait to return soon for another unforgettable getaway.

Possibly our favourite hotel on our two week tour of Sri Lanka. The upgrade to a superior suite was very fortunate and appreciated but didn't influence us. This is a top quality hotel and only 1.5 hours taxi ride from Colombo airport. The staff were very attentive, polite and they tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We will factor in a return visit when we next find ourselves in Sri Lanka.

We had a 5-night stay at Bentota. When we arrived the check in experience was terrible. No one was willing to help with the luggage or to welcome us and then the aloof front desk couldn’t find our reservation due to a system error and we had to wait until they figure it out. This was resolved with apologies and an upgrade but it was a bad start.
Staff were all very polite and friendly in general but rewarding them based on TripAdvisor reviews is a terrible idea. Not sure what the management was thinking doing this. We were asked to leave a review multiple times a day by staff during eating, at the pool, after our room was cleaned, etc. This is not a 5-star experience.
Beach and pool area were amazing. Very well maintained, clean and serene. Aqua aerobic was a lovely touch, shame it’s not a daily activity.
Entertainment facilities were lacking other than a badminton court. Expensive painting classes consume the majority of a common space where you could have a couple of pool tables, darts etc.

Had such a good time, staff are very attentive but more than that are very friendly. It did not feel forced but genuine.
The kids loved it and the staff at kids club made children feel cared for.
Pools are great and the views are stunning
