We have just returned from the grand hotel resort. What makes this hotel is their staff all of them were amazing from the pool bar staff making the best icecreams. To their entertainment team luca and his team made our holiday in crete our children loved every single minute of the entertainment the animation team had put on. Pleanty of sunlounges around the pool the cleanliness of this hotel is fantastic. Life gaurds in the water park so friendly and welcoming this kids absolutely had a fantastic holiday here. The only thing I can say for it been a all-inclusive its was quite a stress on how we had to get our bottled water. The fridge in the room was only stocked with water when we arrived and we were only allowed to order a bottle each at the restaurant to take to the room. I've never had that before always had it stocked on the fridge but we got used to what we had to do but somthing I would change always have the fridge stocked with water. what makes this hotel is its staff and the service they give their customers highly recommended a visit. Thanks for a great holiday 😀

We have just returned from a trip here. The food and pools are excellent. Plenty of choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A big shout out to both lifeguards who are the friendliest I’ve come across. Always smiling and getting involved with the kids (countdown on the slides when racing etc) The hotel is mainly French and German families. Whilst we didn’t have an issue here, our boys did struggle to make friends due to some language issues. Lots of food choices and the drinks were excellent. The only negative experience I came across, was the lady who took your photos on an evening when going for dinner etc. She wanted to take our photos. The next day, I did buy 2 pictures off here. But she was very annoyed and told me I was wasted her time (she google translated this). I found her rude. A last shout out to the staff for helping me on departure day with an issue for my son. What they provided us with, I’m very grateful. Thank you. We stayed in room 1001 and perfect location.

I have stayed in more than 100 hotels throughout my life, and I have never experienced a worse holiday than the one I had here. I have traveled to more than half the world, and yet this is the first time I have encountered such unacceptable service—both in terms of food and hospitality. To begin with, even getting a simple bottle of water was an issue. And let me clarify: I am staying here under an all-inclusive concept. Despite that, we couldn’t even get a bottle of water for our room. At around 9 PM, I went to the restaurant and asked for water. I was told, “Get it from wherever you had your meal.” When I went to the lobby, they said,“If you come from outside without having dined in the hotel, we cannot provide you with water.” 🤣 It was honestly shocking—they refused to give us water that likely costs no more than 30 cents. It was like a bad joke. As for the pool, it seems no one from hotel management has ever used it themselves. The entire pool contains salt water. Everyone I spoke with had similar complaints. Most guests were swimming with diving goggles—clearly not a normal or pleasant experience. The food was another disappointment. It was the same every single day, with no variety whatsoever. And what shocked me the most was that while guests were still eating, staff would begin clearing away the food and packing everything up. It was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. They give you a card, and there is a snack bar at lunchtime—but the snack bar is located only at the children’s pool. So if you are swimming at the main pool, you have to get up and walk all the way to the children’s pool. It’s completely absurd!!! 🤣

My family chose this hotel solely because of the water slides on the premises. The description stated that the requirements for using the slides were: 1) Children must be 6+ years old 2) 120+ cm tall (130+ cm for one of the slides) 3) the child must be able to swim independently, without adult assistance. My daughter met all the requirements. She can swim the entire length of the pool (25 m). When I came with my daughter to ride the waterr slides for the first time, the lifeguard told me that the first time my daughter had to go down the simplest (blue) water slide on her own, and if she could do it on her own, then she would be allowed to ride all the others as well. My daughter slid down without any fear, swimming 5 metres in the pool, where she could even touch the bottom. After that, the lifeguard told me that today she should only ride the blue slide, get used to it a little, practise, and starting the next day, she would be allowed to ride all the other slides. My daughter and I were upset by this decision, which contradicted what had been said earlier. The next day, she was again only allowed to use the simplest blue slide. The reason given was that she swam slowly to the shore, even though she and I did it in the same amount of time. Moreover, the requirements did not specify the speed at which a child should swim. Our holiday was completely ruined. Everything depended on the subjective of two people. When we contacted the reception, we did not receive the desired support or any explanation as to why these requirements were not specified anywhere in advance. This would have influenced our choice of hotel. This unfortunate situation, unfortunately, overshadowed all the other advantages of the hotel, and there were many. Unfortunately, I do not know the names of those responsible, because the lifeguards, for some reason, do not have name tags, unlike other employees.

Stayed at the grand hotel for 9 days on a HB basis, first the hotel and grounds are absolutely spotless very clean . Nice to have a pool area where no children are allowed and no ball games nice and quiet, the other pools are more catered for families also the water slides are very good. No problem getting sunbeds and no issue with people reserving them with towels first thing in the morning. The food is varied and plentiful and service in the restaurant is very good. Entertainment I thought could have been better. Hotel provides a shuttle bus to the beach throughout the day, but you can walk in to town in 15min, also the hotel is on a steep incline so if you are bad at walking it's a climb, but the hotel has a on call vehicle to get you to your room. The hotel was quiet and the outside snack bar was closed, so if I was on a AI package I would have been disappointed. Me and my wife had a massage at the spa, and victoria the therapist who I had was very good and very professional, probably one of the best massages I've ever had, Georgia did my wife's massage and again my wife thought it was heaven. Location of the hotel is ok once you get to know the area, and would definitely recommend.
