Hotel is OK but a bit dated, and the restaurant has more of a cafeteria feel rather than a 4* hotel dining room. The food was fine, although it got a bit boring after a few days because there wasn't much variation. The sunbeds need re-covering and they could do with toilets near the pool rather than only 2 public toilets in the hotel itself. The location however is great - you can see the sea at the end of the road and it's an easy, flat walk to beach, shops and amenities

From start to finish we were made to feel like VIPs. All staff were polite, welcoming, helpful and friendly. They all work so hard but always took the time to give us a smile and nice greeting. Our room was just right for us, had a nice view and was kept very clean each day.
The animation team were not pushy when trying to get us to join in with events. They were friendly and welcoming, and even remembered our names! This encouraged us to take part in one or two events or at least watch.
The food was delicious with so much choice.
The beach and shops were within reasonable walking distance.
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we hope to be back soon.

Originally, I decided to not write a negative review, even with the sub-par experience yet the ending to our trip compels me to provide honest feedback so other well-intentioned travelers do not suffer from the same travesty of booking here.
Beginning at the end, the final full day prior to checkout, my family went to breakfast and even though the cleaning staff NEVER cleaned before 11am, someone was in the room before 9am and everything was moved around in a strange way; this became more obvious when a significant amount of money was stolen and considering it was hidden away, the staff took a long time searching the entire space to find it. So to summarize, there are staff literally watching for guests to leave their rooms and then go in to steal any (untraceable) money they can find. Thanks for targeting families, very compassionate of them and the courtesy to not also steal from the child's wallet!!
Maybe this wouldn't have soured the whole experience so much if our whole family didn't get food poisoning (not "maybe that could have been food poisoning", outright no doubt in the world). It wasn't a single day; each individual person got it through the entire second week of the stay and upon talking to other guests, definitely not the only ones... The cockroaches climbing around the dining areas probably didn't help...
I have been to countless resorts full of staff and never did it seem so obvious how unhappy everyone was; it got to the point that we tried to avoid having to speak with staff because it seemed we were "bothering" them. I only note this aspect because of how much it influenced the day to day. However, there were some really genuine staff that we highly appreciated and truly loved to perform their responsibilities!
This last point is for FAMILIES. If you have children, I would highly encourage to look for any other alternative because although the hotel permits children, they are wholely unprepared for accommodating to this specific segment of vacationers.
From cancelled activities to not properly attending to the times when access to drinking water, etc. is available, to the public bathrooms being completely without water at times, it just seemed the whole company was "winging-it". Very unserious, to be kind with words.
In the words of another guest, "I spent the money for a four star hotel and got a three star experience." Do you want that to be yours??

We really loved our stay in Olivina and especially with the lovely Animation Team that were always with great energy and had a great dance show. Plus the White Party night which was one of the highlights for us.
Apart from that the location is great and they have many different pool areas, so you can be at the one closest to you or you have some which are more or less noisy.
Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcomed. It was indeed a lovely vacation!

Our room was very dated, but grounds were lovely. Great location. Disappointed to see cockroaches in the restaurant on two occasions, maybe that related to my son and husband being ill.Not enough staff in restaurant clearing tables and resetting, sometimes difficult to find a vacant table. Good hotel but needs serious updating if staying in family rooms
