The Foodie's Diary

We recently had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Bali. Our room was spacious, and we loved the separate balcony area indoors. This meant we could enjoy the views with the comfort of air conditioning – a huge plus in the Bali heat! A definite highlight for us was the turtle sanctuary on-site. It's a fantastic educational experience for kids (and adults!), offering a chance to learn about these amazing creatures and conservation efforts. The hotel has a private beach, though it was not so clean (washed up debris). Pool area was excellent, with plenty of shaded spots. What we love the most is the luscious, well-maintained garden – truly greenery everywhere you look. The hotel's location is also convenient, about 20-30 minutes by car from airport. Overall a great stay for families

Absolutely stunning hotel and everything you would expect from the Hyatt brand. Beautiful rooms and gave us an upgrade. Food was wonderful. They also have some great sustainability initiatives like using coconuts from the restaurants for seedling starters and an onsite turtle conservation facility. Was a wonderful end to our trip!

This is a sprawling property, well maintained with the widest beachfront of all the properties on the promenade. Comfortable beds and good water pressure in the rooms are important factors I look for and no disappointment here. The rooms also had USB ports which are convenient. This is a true 5 star property with its friendly, well trained staff. It’s the little touches that make it 5 star. They noted it was our anniversary and they gave us a cake and roses for my wife. The breakfast room has chilled cabinets throughout to hold perishables like cheese, fruit and yogurt so guests do not experience Bali Belly. If I could make a suggestion to management, it would be that they rearrange the breakfast room because it’s a bit of a maze and guest keep bumping into each other. My recommendation to travelers with mobility issues is that because the property is so large, that they request a room near the lobby or restaurants. The hotel does not offer buggy services. The surf and turf BBQ on the beach is excellent and I can recommend you experience it for yourself. The ambience is amazing with lights on the beach and most guests take their shoes off to walk in the sand. Entertainment is via Balinese dance. I would most definitely stay here again when I next visit Sanur.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Bali and was absolutely delighted! The hotel is located in the Sanur area, surrounded by stunning nature — a huge, well-maintained green area that provides a sense of privacy and peace. The hotel has direct access to the sea, but it's important to note that swimming is only possible during high tide. The breakfasts at the hotel are a whole other story! It's a true paradise for food lovers: a vast selection of dishes from various cuisines, plenty of fresh dairy products, and an abundance of seasonal fruits. I especially want to highlight the staff — the service is top-notch! The staff is very attentive, and all guest requests are fulfilled almost instantly. I’d particularly like to mention the waitress Listya — she was incredibly kind, sweet, and professional. She perfectly anticipated our wishes, and we always felt at home. Additionally, the hotel offers an excellent spa area with a separate adult-only pool, where you can enjoy peace and quiet. The gym is also impressive — it’s superbly equipped and perfect for those who don't want to interrupt their workouts during vacation. I would also like to note that the rooms are soundproof, which is very important for me as it allows for complete relaxation. Overall, I was very happy with my stay at this hotel and would definitely return!
