This was our first time coming to Jamaica and this place left such an impression on us that we are already planning a trip back but with a group next time! We celebrated our 15 year anniversary and it was perfect. This was the best food I've ever experienced at any resort. They are not skimpy on seasoning! Most resorts you go to seem to cater to a certain palate but this place stayed true their culture. The Jamaican food they served was lovely. We didn't get a chance to really go off resort to try any local restaurants but the food here was so good we didn't feel like we really had to. Even room service food was great and that can often be very hit or miss at other places. We came across so many awesome staff members. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The access to the beach and overall vibes of the beach is lovely. They really cultivated a true relaxing vibe on the property. So much so that we found it hard to leave to explore out and we normally ALWAYS do some exploring outside of resorts when we travel. If you are traveling without kids, I highly recommend paying the extra and staying on the Joia (Grand) Rose Hall side. You won't regret it. Plus you have easy access to the other 2 properties. This place is true paradise!

The staff is the only reason to come here. Please don’t settle for the “tropical view” rooms. The hotel is definitely dated. If they grant you resort “credits” don’t plan on using them. Don’t expect any consistency with the drinks you order. Don’t trust the app postings for restaurant days open. If you come during the Christmas holidays don’t expect to use the pools unless you’re a member of the polar bear club. The “warm” tub was not much relief.
We found it amazing how any management could walk around and not wonder why only three out of a hundred around the pools were in the water. There are way too many choices available to settle for Iberostar. We have found “Excellence Resorts” to be the most consistent to earn our business.

Amazing experience! The resort has an amazing variety of food and events. There are so many restaurants to go try of various different cuisines. The buffets are excellent as well. They have many neat shows and events every day, from live music, magic, beach events, water ballet, etc - all are amazing if you're wanting to stay on site and relax!
Heads up Gentlemen, I do recommend packing a pair or two of collard shirts, like a polo, and a pair of jeans or khakis for some of the restaurants. Many do require a collared or long sleeve shirt. But so long as your aren't looking like you're going to the beach they are pretty lax with the rule.
Butler service was definitely worth it, they go above and beyond to make sure you are having an awesome time. They give you a summary of daily events, excellent recommendations for food or activities, take care of your room needs at any time, coordinate room service and food at all hours, and even will do special things such as make a surprise rose pedal bath for your honeymoon.
Special shout out to our butler Owen for his attentiveness every single day and Rohan who covered a shift and went above and beyond as well!

Had a great time here for our one week getaway. Staffs were really courteous and helpful. The all inclusive package made everything so smooth, food and drinks were readily available throughout the day and night. One of the best attractions we got to do was go to the cat sanctuary across the street. The road there might not be very direct but you can ask the hotel to drive you up on a gold cart. They do a wonderful job there raising cats and adopting them out. Please consider visiting and donating.

Angel from the activities team made our stay super special and the food is good. I wanted to start with the positives. Angel took ownership of our experience after I expressed to her I felt the customer service was very poor.
Our check-in was a disappointment. I see how other people come here and love it. However, we seem to have a different experience all around the resort. When we asked for certain things, certain staff members would act as if we were bothering them and like they weren’t there to serve us.
Surf and turf is definitely the best restaurant. The reviews did not lie at all.
The rooms are dated and they started using a diffuser for the weird smell people complained about in other reviews. I can still smell the smell that other described.
Over all, I would not recommend this resort if you’re a lesbian couple. I could feel the shade and the difference of treatment. I usually don’t complain and try to lead and stay positive.
If the service was better, I would definitely come back.
