This Paradiso Del Mar Resort is stunning as you enter the grounds. It was our first time staying at an all inclusive resort. The most amazing experience and highlight of our trip would be a young, charismatic, professional, named Alex Mendoza who went beyond the call of duty to provide us with a 5 Star stay. He was an excellent listener who accommodated us with all our issues. We arrived at check in where we were not going to be given the rooms we paid for. After not accepting the receptionist’s rooms, they gave in and gave us what we paid for. It was a challenge getting dinner reservations as they were always booked. We couldn’t make any dinner reservations a few days in advance. It was always on the day of and they were usually booked. We were only able to get in with last minute cancellations. The showers in the rooms really need some improvements. They’re designed very poorly. Alex was always able to listen to us and provide solutions. He fulfilled everything he promised us and more! We only wish the Resort would have more Alex’s! If you vacation here, ask for Alex Mendoza!

We came into this trip with pretty low expectations around the food—after all, it’s an all-inclusive, and we figured it might be average at best. But we were blown away. Every meal we had was truly delicious. There were several restaurant options, and we tried as many as we could. The French and Italian restaurants were both excellent, especially the Italian one—it was real Italian, not the overly cheesy American kind. The Japanese steakhouse was a standout. We stuffed ourselves with perfectly cooked steak and shrimp. The buffet had something new every day—some familiar comfort foods, some dishes we’d never tried, and desserts that were absolutely to die for. The ceviche bar was another highlight. The shrimp ceviche was the freshest, most flavorful I’ve ever had. Drinks were great—not super strong, but well-made and tasty. The liquor selection was solid too, with some nice bourbon options that made my husband very happy. The wine could’ve been better, but honestly, that’s our only minor critique. The service was top-notch. Every staff member—from guest services to poolside servers—made us feel like VIPs. We truly felt like royalty. Our room was beautiful and spacious, with roses on the bed when we arrived and again on our anniversary, which was such a sweet touch. They did ask us to attend a timeshare meeting, but we never felt pressured. It was low-key and informative. We decided it wasn’t for us, and they were totally respectful about it. It did go longer than the promised hour, but we walked away with two free massages, so no complaints! This place exceeded every expectation. We’re already talking about coming back. Can’t say enough good things—highly recommend!

We had a wonderful week of family time and relaxation. The food was awesome and service was top notch. We loved the variety of activities near the pools, as well as time spent in quiet relaxation away from all the activities. There are many golf carts available for shuttles to various activities or from your room to the lobby. The hotel staff were all very friendly and worked hard to meet our every request. Javier from the Club was a bright shining face every day and helped navigate us to activities we wanted to do. The entertainment team was friendly and fun providing fun gatherings each evening. We had daily visits from Carlos and Jesus (Star Prestige) during our stay to be sure our stay was going OK We’re sad to leave and already looking forward to our return trip.

Beautiful, well maintained property. The staff was plentiful and attentive. The room was pretty basic, but bed was comfortable enough and we heard no noise from other guests. The swim up pool and beach tacos were our highlights. All inclusive buffets were well stocked and offered a variety of options each day. It’s worth noting that you’ll be doing a lot of walking on the property - scenic juggle areas between rooms, pools, restaurants but this didn’t bother us as we were welcoming getting our daily steps in between meals! But if you have walking issues this wouldn’t be ideal. There is a golf cart shuttle that runs between properties but we never felt like timing our outings with this service.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar was a fantastic resort experience. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush grounds and a clean, spacious beach that's perfect for relaxing. The food exceeded our expectations, offering a great variety with consistently good quality across all the restaurants and buffets. Drinks were strong, well-made, and available throughout the day from friendly bartenders. It’s also a great choice for families. safe, welcoming, and full of activities for all ages. Overall, a well-rounded, enjoyable stay that we’d definitely recommend.
