I can't understand the negative reviews.
My wife, sister and I have been here 5 days, here for another 5.
I cannot fault the place. It's a bit out of the way.. ..but that's what you booked?
No ferrel children running wild?
No irresponsible parents?
I love the place. All employees are fantastic, can't fault them
They're complaints about the food?
The main kitchen is getting a full refurbishment, new fridge and hot serve over units being installed while we're here, for peak season.
I've worked hospitality maintenance 10 years. They take your complaints on board and fix them.
Lovely hotel for couples (without children) and singles. Stop moaning for the sake of moaning

Kn Matas Blancas Hotel - Not Quite 4 Stars
We recently stayed at Kn Matas Blancas Hotel through Jet2 Holidays, and while there were some positives, the experience fell short of our expectations for a 4-star hotel. Here’s our honest review:
The Positives:
Firstly, full credit to Jet2 Holidays. The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and eager to help at every turn. They certainly made the travel experience pleasant. Secondly, the hotel is clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated.
The Negatives:
Location: The hotel is situated on a hill, which makes it very windy. While the weather in the Canary Islands is generally lovely in winter (22–25°C), the cold wind was less than ideal. Another concern was the dust and sand from the Sahara. On certain days, stepping outside felt unpleasant and even potentially harmful.
Food: This was one of the biggest disappointments. The meals lacked variety and authenticity. The menu appeared to cater predominantly to British visitors, with no local or home-cooked-style options. Unfortunately, the food became monotonous, with the same dishes served across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. To make matters worse, the food was consistently cold, even at the snack bar. What ruined our experience was falling severely ill after dining at the hotel, which left us confined to our room for two days.
Staff: Most staff members were pleasant and tried their best, but we encountered a few rude individuals, particularly in the kitchen. While everyone can have a bad day, there’s no excuse for taking it out on guests.
Facilities: The hotel offers three outdoor pools, one of which is heated, though "heated" is a generous term—it was only slightly warmer than the unheated ones. The spa has a small pool with whirlpool jets, but the water temperature was lukewarm at best, far from the relaxing warmth you’d expect in a spa. Additionally, although the dry sauna and steam room were a good size, seating in the spa was extremely limited, with only four loungers available. Be aware that all-inclusive guests get only one free spa visit, with subsequent visits costing €50 per person.
Customer Demographic: While this is only partially the hotel’s responsibility, the guest mix affected the overall atmosphere. During our stay, there were three main groups: elderly guests (generally fine), solo visitors (many of whom spent their days drinking but kept to themselves), and groups of scroungers, whose loud, flashy, and disruptive behavior was often accompanied by poor hygiene and offensive language.
Final Thoughts:
We booked this holiday as a last-minute, impulsive decision without doing proper research, and we regret it. For those considering this hotel, please take the time to thoroughly research your options to avoid disappointment. This property may suit some, but there are undoubtedly better alternatives for a more enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Don’t make the same mistake we did—plan carefully!

Beautiful hotel a bit out of the way but very clean. The staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble the rooms are spacious and very clean. The only thing that let's it down is the food is not the best usually quite cold but the options are quite good.

Good view from hotel as high up the hills stuck 30 minute walk from beach no shops or bars close by so if not all inclusive plan your day. Night life very limited apart from the smell of sewage every night. You need to heat all food in microwave or it's cold when complain told its hot for Spanish food.

Overall an ok experience for what we paid. If you want somewhere to go and just chill by the pool and unwind then it's ideal. We went in October and it was extremely quiet so we didn't have to fight for sun beds. The pool area was probably the best part of the hotel. The all inclusive food was average and a little hit and miss, in my experience this is normal for buffet food.
The rooms were spacious but a little lacking. They could do with some maintenance- for example the peeling paint on the headboard where heads tend to rest. They could also supply more than one flat pillow per guest and some nice touches like tea/coffee for the room and complimentary toiletries. The only thing supplied was a generic soap for hair and body but appeared to be the same as the hand wash. The towels in the rooms and the pool towels have seen better days, they were as thin as dish cloths with as many holes better donated to an animal shelter. The actual shower was very nice, powerful with plenty of hot water.
On the plus side, we found 3 chirpy members of staff, the receptionist (very helpful) one of the bar tenders and the entertainment guy. Sadly the rest clearly dislike either their job or tourists, or both!
