We recently celebrated our daughter's birthday at La Flora Khao Lak, and it was a truly memorable experience. The hotel staff went above and beyond by preparing a cute pink birthday cake and decorating the bed, which made her day extra special. They even set up an extra bed on the terrace without us having to request it, as we were traveling with two children. These small but thoughtful gestures showed us how much they care.
The long pool running along the hotel was fantastic and made for easy access and relaxation. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food, although the egg and coffee stations took a bit of time. It would be great if they could add more stations to make the service quicker.
Spa treatments are wonderful
The staff were generally friendly and attentive, though the restaurant staff seemed a bit overloaded at times. Small things like missing cutlery at the table or giving us coloring pages without crayons were little details that could use improvement. These weren't major issues, just little things that would elevate the experience even further.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

First time in Khao Lak, stayed at La Flora at family 2 bedroom. Khao Lak is mostly German and Scandinavian guests. Rooms are spacious with aircon and bathroom in each room. Pool and grounds are immaculate. It’s an eco friendly resort with no plastic used! Loved the concept not providing water in plastic bottles like other hotels but I wish if refilling station was in each building.
Breakfast buffet is very good with fresh fruits, healthy options, many western food, limited Thai food, egg station, coffee station and we always found a table straightaway. Heaps of restaurants outside the resorts leading to main road which is 15 min walk.
Beach is beautiful on sunny day but it gets deep quickly. It’s not suitable for small children. Once you are in deeper area, there was no wave. Water was murky and not clear.

I had an amazing time at La Flora 🤩 They had the best morning buffet, and the pool and bar near the beach was just perfect. Such good service, and you step right outside of the resort, and you are at the city with shops, night market, bars and everything. 🍹☀️ Small detail like they had english tv programs 👍

The hotel is great, rooms are in different small villas spread around with pools in between. Restaurant is cozy and with good food, the service is bit of a headache if you don't speak Thai. Has sunbeds around the main pools and on the beach, with towels you can get and exchange during the day. Very close to local shops/restaurants/money exchange. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful 👍

This is a long, narrow, resort hotel and peripheral boutique chalets and maisonettes.
The staff are very lovely but the site in certain places is tired. At a number of locations around the site, the sewers smell.
The food is good, but certain expensive foods are "measured" to a budget. It is not a quiet place. It's popular with families and youngsters, which at 2 in the morning can be annoying.
During the day, there's music at the pool bars, which can also spoil the peace and quiet, especially when the guests have had a few
There's a chaotic entrance road that feeds two resorts that are noisy until the late hours as guests come back from venues further up in khoa lak.
The beach is sand but at high tide risky if there's a swell on .. the red flag was out 5 days out of our 7.
Would I go again... only if I was with a lot of family who like drinking, like lots of various pools, and were prepared to venture out on moderately expensive tours offered to a captive audience.
