The hotel is great, rooms are in different small villas spread around with pools in between. Restaurant is cozy and with good food, the service is bit of a headache if you don't speak Thai. Has sunbeds around the main pools and on the beach, with towels you can get and exchange during the day. Very close to local shops/restaurants/money exchange. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful 👍

This is a long, narrow, resort hotel and peripheral boutique chalets and maisonettes.
The staff are very lovely but the site in certain places is tired. At a number of locations around the site, the sewers smell.
The food is good, but certain expensive foods are "measured" to a budget. It is not a quiet place. It's popular with families and youngsters, which at 2 in the morning can be annoying.
During the day, there's music at the pool bars, which can also spoil the peace and quiet, especially when the guests have had a few
There's a chaotic entrance road that feeds two resorts that are noisy until the late hours as guests come back from venues further up in khoa lak.
The beach is sand but at high tide risky if there's a swell on .. the red flag was out 5 days out of our 7.
Would I go again... only if I was with a lot of family who like drinking, like lots of various pools, and were prepared to venture out on moderately expensive tours offered to a captive audience.

The hotel is very nice. Rooms are well kept and have a good standard. We stayed in a Pool Room which gave access to a small pool and a swim up bar. Sun loungers are on your own patio. The only downside of the pool rooms are that being by the water, there are lots of mosquitoes. Make sure you wear repellent! We also always carry a mosquitoe room spray, which was needed every night here!
Food is good quality and large menu selection. Great selection of Western and Eastern food for breakfast. Each day, they do change the options.
Pool bars and main bars have a good selection of cocktails and bottled beers. Wide selection of food is also available at the bars. There are Happy Hours at different times during the day and night.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
There is a small shop on site that is handy and the same prices as local shops up the road.
The hotel is very well placed. Everything you need is local.
There are lots of lovely restaurants all within a short walk. Not just Thia food but a few pizza restaurants as well.
Small supermarkets are also just up the street. A Seven Eleven about a half hour walk or 5 minute taxi ride.
ATM just a 2 minute walk.
A good-sized market just 15 - 20 minutes (depending on how fast you walk) is well worth a visit.
Definitely recommend this hotel for families. We had 14 in our group with 5 children under 8 years old.
All the local restaurants and the hotel restaurant offer great children's meals. Our children loved the Kids Club, open till 4pm everyday. There is a small children only water area/park. There are also a few shallow pools ideal for babies.

Our stay at La Flora, even though we left early due to the weather, was absolutely enjoyable and pleasant. The staff always went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cozy. The rooms were more than adequate, in the beginning a little damp, as in all tropical areas, but after a few days it was all good.
We had a little incident of something missing from our room, which we reported at the front desk, and the Hotel again went the extra mile to compensate and did a great Job. My special thanks goes to Mrs Namlartan(I hope the name is correct), who did her job to the fullest. This kind of customer service is what differentiates a good Hotel from a great Hotel. We define ourselves on how we deal with problems - I say chapeaux.
We will definitely be coming back again.
Thank you to the entire team at La Flora
