Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris Beach Hotel and Spa

We only stayed one night at this hotel, for ease of exploring the west and north west of Cyprus - our base accommodation was in Limassol. We booked on B&B basis, so can’t comment on dinner. We had a sea view room on the 5th floor and it was excellent. We selected this hotel as it’s Adult Only and has an indoor pool complex (sauna, steam room and jacuzzi). Everything fine and working when we used these facilities at 4pm on our checkin day. However, the following day at 8am (the time the indoor pool complex opens), we could only use the indoor pool - the jacuzzi was closed for cleaning, and both the sauna and steam room were barely warm. So my gripe to hotel management is - if facilities open at a stated time, then those facilities should be fully functional for use by guests at that stated time! Breakfast, served between 7-10, was very busy at 9.30 when we went, however there still seemed to be plenty of choice - hot selection particularly good. It’s a large, busy, restaurant but quieter areas are available to sit in if preferred. Not a fan of the in-room mugs without handles - guests can very easily burn themselves. A potential safety hazard. There is a small, free, car park in front of the hotel. Although it was pretty full, we were lucky and found a parking place when we first arrived and after we returned from off site dinner - I’d imagine during high season getting a place could be tricky. A walk along the path at the rear of the hotel strip is nice to do - a gentle walk to Paphos harbour takes around 45 minutes. Finally, there are ongoing room renovations. It didn’t disturb us however some rooms may have additional noise. I’d recommend checking with the hotel about ongoing work before booking.

We stayed at this hotel from 13–15 February 2026 (Valentine’s weekend), Room 615 with Lounge Access. Unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations for a premium all-inclusive stay. We faced multiple issues throughout our stay: incorrect information at reception regarding EV charging, staff unable to communicate in basic English at breakfast and spa areas, poor guidance inside the hotel, non-functioning steam room, cold and unclean pool area, and generally weak organization. The all-inclusive food and drinks were also very disappointing. The quality and variety were much lower than at other all-inclusive hotels we have stayed in. Basic sparkling wine and low-quality spirits were offered, which did not match the price or branding of the hotel. The most serious incident occurred in the Lounge on 14 February. A staff member behaved in an unprofessional and hostile manner, ignored us for a long time, spoke negatively, placed drinks aggressively on our table, and caused a public scene. This completely ruined our Valentine’s celebration. My wife became very upset, and we cancelled our planned Valentine’s dinner. Afterwards, the hotel’s “compensation” was only a fruit plate and cheap sparkling wine, which did not reflect the seriousness of what happened. We contacted management privately and gave them the opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter properly. Their response was limited to offering a possible future upgrade, and after that, they stopped replying. No serious effort was made to fix their mistakes. As a Booking.com Genius Level 2 guest, I rarely complain and I waited before posting this review. Sadly, the lack of accountability forced me to share our experience. This hotel has potential, but serious improvements are needed in staff training, supervision, food and beverage quality, and guest care before peak season.

We stayed from 10th until the 14th for the wifes 40th. We got a really good all inclusive deal. Room was good and cleaned everyday. A wide variety of food for the breakfast lunch and evening meal. Evening meals was served until 9pm which is ideal to have a trip out for the day and not needing to rush back to catch the food. Each night had some for of entertainment either in the main foyer or the club which is just around from reception. Huge menu of all inclusive cocktails and drinks so something for everyone. I'd like to mention that the bar staff we're very friendly and always smiling which is great to see even outside of main season. The gym is kept clean and tidy and more than enough to get a decent work out in. Bus stops are just 100m from the hotel where you can catch the 611 and 612 which take you from Paphos airport all the way the the harbour. Day tickets are €6.50 and can be used on all of the local paphos lines. There was work getting done on some of the higher levels to update the rooms which didn't bother us as the work needs done. Work started at 8am and all noise stopped by 4:30pm. You couldn't hear anything downstairs or in the food areas. It makes sense to get it arrange during the quieter months. It's also proof the hotel is investing in updating the rooms ready for summer. We'd be happy to return again in the future to use as our base to explore more of Cyprus.

Hotel Leonardo Maris – An excellent all-inclusive choice! We recently stayed at the Hotel Leonardo Maris and what a wonderful surprise! This all-inclusive resort is highly recommended for those looking for relaxation, good service, and value for money. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable – exactly what you want on a holiday. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, which created a very positive atmosphere. The service in general was also excellent: from breakfast to dinner, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. What we particularly appreciated was the all-inclusive offer. Not only are branded drinks served, but the cocktails are also included and deliciously made – no watered-down mixes, but genuine treats! This makes enjoying yourself even more enjoyable without constantly having to check the bill. In short: if you're looking for a carefree, enjoyable holiday with good facilities and a warm welcome, then Hotel Leonardo Maris is an excellent choice. Highly recommended! This was my first trip aboard and i was absolutely amazed by the quality and service i received. i've already booked up again for next year. My brother and his wife had stayed here earlier in the year and loved it so much they'd booked again for October, i'd decided to tag along at their request. After arriving at the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff who ushered us inside add took our bags while we were directed to a complimentary glass of prosecco as we filled out the paperwork for our stay. when checking in i was informed i'd been upgraded to front's sea view room and the helpful member of staff on the counter talked me through all of the facilities and explained the serving times for meals and the booking system for the restaurants. The room was fantastic, much larger than i expected and the view was great and everything was spotlessly clean. the bed was so soft i haven't slept that well in years. The food was fantastic at the breakfast Buffett a great mixture (the banana ice cream is amazing) had to be careful not to eat too much. i can't speak for the meals in the evening as i spent much of the day/early evening exploring paphos and eating out. i will say the margherita pizza and the chips here are delicious. the staff are fantastic, special mention to Prodomos who makes the best ouzo specials i've ever tasted, he was a true credit to you team and remembered my brother and his wife from their previous stay, he constantly checked in with us throughout our stay and wished us a safe flight up upon our departure. the location is great the beach at the rear of the hotel is great to relax as is the pool area, there was always sun loungers available to us and never had any issues getting anywhere to sit. make sure to wear plenty of sun cream though - i made the mistake of not wearing any and suffered the worst sunburn of my life. Thank you guys for a fantastic first holiday abroad and I'll see you again when i return next year
