This is a top quality 5* hotel that I will definitely be returning to. The rooms are spacious, very luxurious and incredibly comfortable with all the modern additions and updates. The pool area
Also spacious with great views over the infinity pool of central KL but incredibly tranquil. Service at all times was excellent in all areas of the hotel. The breakfast restaurant was incredibly well stocked with all breakfast options available no matter your preferences.
A wonderful and relaxing place to stay in KL.

Good location, but really is a 3-4 star hotel with a five star price tag. It is too poorly maintained to be worth the price - just go to W or Four Seasons instead, or save the money and go to somewhere half the price for a likely better experience
Got stuck in the elevator with four others which took almost half an hour to open, and when we were stuck in the lift they were just focused on getting our room numbers - how is that relevant? I have never been stuck in an elevator that long and of all places it’s this hotel
The shower knob dropped out when I was using it (and this was in one of the better rooms), the furnishing is dated, the carpet is old and concierge takes a long time to respond
Offered a small cake as compensation at the end during check out. Joke of a hotel

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The property seamlessly blends traditional luxury with modern touches. A special shout out to the guys at the pool who went above and beyond to look after us, and also the house keeping team for keeping everything spotless

Great location but it was a disappointment. The room had serious cleanliness and maintenance issues—the bathroom wasn’t well cleaned, the standing shower had drainage problems, and the pillowcases were stained.
The breakfast experience was just as bad. I went in at 7:30 AM, only an hour after opening, and many fruit dishes were already empty. When I asked about replenishment, the staff reluctantly refilled them, which is unacceptable for a five-star hotel. For the price, I expected far better cleanliness, upkeep, and service. Definitely not worth the price premium.

Dear Nigel,
I saw your response to my previous review. I stayed at your hotel for almost 5 days and noboby cared to contact myself or even resolve the situation concerning the breakfast then. You have now provided a very cookie-cutter response to my review without any substance or clear course of action. All this pretty much confirms that the hotel is not really bothered about the guests feedback as pretty much you are relying on the hotel brand name to drive business and happy to brush aside any issues the guests may raise. Sad to see such a poor management overall!

40-60 MINUTES LONG QUES FOR BREAKFAST SERVICE!
Each morning, we faced an unacceptable 40 to 50 minutes wait in the breakfast queue. Despite our repeated requests to address this problem, there seemed to be a lack of interest and responsiveness from the hotel team. Young staff members were left to manage operations without adequate support or intervention from senior management.
We were assured that someone from the management would reach out to us to resolve the issue, but unfortunately, this promise was not fulfilled. This lack of follow-through and concern for guest satisfaction is disappointing and does not align with the high standards that Mandarin Oriental is known for.
Several of our guests expressed their dissatisfaction with this aspect of their stay, and I feel compelled to share this feedback in hopes that it will prompt immediate action. The current approach to managing breakfast service is a major shortcoming that needs urgent attention to ensure a more pleasant and efficient experience for all future guests.
