The property is magnificent, but the service needs improvement. Two examples, I booked a 2 hour service at the spa. I was 15 minutes early but was called in 15 minutes late. I only received service for 1.75 hours. I asked the concierge to assist me with finding a laundry service, she told me to search the internet. Also, the non-smoking policy is not enforced. Even with these minor issues, I would visit this resort again. The property, food, and sea make it worth the irritation.

We stayed at Melati Hotel as a couple with our 1.5-year-old daughter and had a fantastic experience. We wanted a spacious room with a living area, and the only option available was a pool villa. We were initially concerned about safety for our child, but the hotel went above and beyond by sending a team of carpenters to build a safety fence around the pool. They did this without compromising the aesthetics of the space—truly exceptional service! It's worth noting that this option is only available for specific types of pool villas. The staff at Melati were outstanding—always smiling, attentive, and ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warm and professional approach truly enhanced our stay and made us feel incredibly welcome. Beyond that, the hotel is absolutely stunning. The lush greenery, complete with birds and squirrels, makes it feel like you're in a jungle paradise. The rooms are of a very high standard—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options. One small note: in the suite level we booked, I would have expected a rainfall showerhead instead of a standard one, but this minor detail did not affect our overall experience. We highly recommend Melati Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay!

If you book a smoking free hotel, that's what you expect to be enforced by management. I'm currently sitting on a lounge at the resort and there are people smoking around the pool and on the Melati beach front. Even in a small wind the smoke drifts downwind which is very unhealthy. This is likely to be because management haven't put up any signs indicating where smoking is not allowed. The resort has a group of tables with ash trays outside the beach restaurant. People would be more likely to do the right thing if advised of the rules.

What a great experience. We have visited this hotel for a week. That was our (my wife and myself) first visit in Thailand. And it was amazing. Hotel staff are great and extremely helpful. Rooms are really large and well equipped. We can’t praise the hotel staff enough for their hard work and a great, positive attitude. For the first time ever we are considering stopping exploring new places and coning back to Melati. That’s not all. The hotel has got two amazing restaurants: one close to the beach and one in the garden, near the reception. We enjoyed thai buffet night and seaside BBQ with a fire show, and they both had a wow factor. The food quality was impeccable. We always use 5-stars hotels, but this was an outstanding experience. Whoever designed the menus and leading the kitchen - respect! Well done! At the end we would like to personally recognise Pu and Pad - two people who made our dining experience even better. Thank you for your positive energy, knowledge, time given to us during the dining and your dedication. You made our holiday! I would also like to mention the gardens and how spotless they are. You can tell they have been designed well and the staff are very nice and working hard to keep them up. Overall, Melati Beach Resort management should be proud of having such a great staff. Very friendly staff. Nice location overall. Resort nicely arranged. Room was nice, big and very welcoming. Beach was sort of private, so not many people from other places. Spa was amazing. The Thai restaurant serves amazing food! Overall, all infrastructure and the rooms are quite old already. Still old TVs with blurry pictures. It would need some refurbishment now and then. For a 5 star hotel, I would expect a little more nowadays Nevertheless, great stay there for a few days.
