Everything about our stay was amazing! There are 2 communal pools, one is in the middle of the resort and very calm, the other is by the beach and has the pool bar where the majority of the guests go. The accommodation was beautiful, we had our own pool and I loved the outdoor shower! The staff went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation and private pool were cleaned daily and there were daily sweet treats left for us. The food was delicious. There was a lot of choice for the buffet breakfast, Continental and Asian options. The resort has two restaurants, both served outstanding food by outstanding staff. We would definitely go back.

My wife and I spent the last part of our honeymoon here, and it was fantastic. The staff were professional and very polite, the grounds and facilities immaculate, and our room very much felt like it belonged in a 5 star resort. We wished we could've stayed longer than 3 nights, and will hopefully return in the near future. Note that the resort is a fair walk from the main tourist hubs on Ko Samui, but cabs are cheap and the resort has free shuttle trips at set times during the day. Didn't bother us at all, as the pools, spa and restaurants at Melati were more than sufficient for us.

Unfortunately, my experience at Hotel Melati was well below expectations. The reception is extremely poorly managed: totally disorganized, long wait times for even simple requests, and an overall feeling that all they care about is getting you to pay for everything, no matter how small. The only saving grace is Thaiuan, who works at the front desk – he’s incredibly professional, helpful, and clearly knows how to treat guests properly. Without him, it would have been a complete disaster. I expected much more in terms of customer service. I won’t be coming back.

Melati is a truly breathtaking resort, the infinity pool leading on to the beach is so luxurious, both resort restaurants were soo delicious! The rooms are spacious and clean, the employees are all very kind and helpful, I don’t have a single complaint! A small piece of advice though, theres is a near by hotel by a similar name, our taxi took us to the wrong place to begin with, it wasn’t a huge issue but double check with your driver before you take off to avoid the same problems!

I recently stayed at this 5-star resort, but overall, it felt more like a 4-star experience. While there were definitely some positives, a few areas didn’t quite meet the 5-star standard. You should bare this in mind before you book! The staff were excellent — very welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout the stay. The property was also very clean, and the food, especially breakfast, was very good with an appreciated effort to reduce waste. However, there were several shortcomings. The room didn’t have a separate living area, and the bathroom had no air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable at times. The bath was located outside, which some may enjoy, but it wasn’t ideal for us with a baby. Mosquitoes were present, although the hotel did regular fogging to control them. Some maintenance issues were noticeable: the sink didn't drain properly, leaving toothpaste residue, and the shower had inconsistent water temperatures and pressure. There was no AC on the resort grounds ANYWHERE so if you need a break from the heat - you have to go to your room, which limited entertainment and convenience options. I also visited the spa — while the massage itself was good, the overall experience felt quite average for a property advertised as 5-star. There was no relaxation area or spa facilities offered like Sauna steam or jacuzzis. The pre massage drink and post massage refreshement is given in the spa reception area which isn’t very relaxing… In short, while the staff, cleanliness, and food were highlights, the overall experience felt more like a 4-star stay due to room facilities and maintenance issues.
