We had a 2 week stay at the beginning of March at the Mida Grande Resort Phuket. It was a wonderful experience and given this was our first time in Thailand. I would like to give praise to all the staff including at the restaurant Khun Jack, PakPao, Mint, Nischa, Sophia, the waiters and omelette ladies. Their service and smiles always set us up nicely for breakfast.
The men who transported us using the buggies, around to our accommodation in building 7 were so kind and looked after us as we are slightly of advanced age and this really helped.
The reception staff were very kind and thanks to Khun Toy who was always there to assist us as were her team.
We would want to provide a special thanks to Khun Nitchanan Kwansrisut for her kindness and went out of her way to ensure our comfort and needs were met, nothing was to much trouble for her and we would like to commend her and hope the hotel recognises her efforts in some way.
We have stayed in many hotels over the years. However this hotels staff were exemplary and made all the difference to our holiday, making our stay memorable. They treated us so well and made us feel like part of the Mida Family. We hope one day to return and meet our friends again or visit another Mida resort. Thank you very much from Papa and Mama

We had a great stay at Mida, the location of the hotel is very good, you have great access to most of the beaches. Best option to move around is a scooter or a motorbike, since beaches are kinda close. We didn’t use all the facilities, like the gym or the spa, but the pools a nice. Staff is very nice, always ready to help. we contracted the motorbike with their help. The rooms are nice, you have enough space to store things around. Beds are great, and the cleaning staff changed our bed sheets and our towels daily. I strongly recommend the hotel.

The hotel leaves different impressions. So I will write in order. The hotel is big, it is great that you can walk around, it looks beautiful. A large arch, lights are shining near the lobby, greenery around the territory, at first glance it is beautiful... but the hotel is located on a hill and you will have to walk from the beach up high climbs, with children it is even more fun (climb to the hotel, three climbs to the lobby and two more steep ones to the 7th building). There is a shuttle service, but the hotel administration divides its residents into those who stayed at the hotel and those who rented apartments (you do not have the right to move around the territory like everyone else, only for 300 baht per person per day!!! for a family with a small child 900 baht per day!!! it is easier to rent a bike or a car for such prices and not prove anything to anyone, I have never seen such a division of guests and it is very unpleasant!) and be ready to carry on all your heavy Luggage’s up to stairs. There are two children's rooms (buildings 6,7), there are gyms (it is not possible to evaluate, because after the climb to the hotel there will be no strength left for anything). There are three pools: one is closer to the lobby and Starbucks (it is warmer, there is a bar and sun loungers), the second is between buildings 6 and 7, convenient for small children, there are children's slides, but the pool is very small, children barely fit, the water in it works sometimes and is dirtier than other pools, there are limited sun loungers, they seem to have removed them from there (probably because there are more guests from the apartments, there is no other explanation), there is also a pool on the roof with a bar (the cleanest). Starbucks works very strangely, I will write a separate review, you can take coffee. The restaurant is open for a long time, they bring food to the room (though here they also wanted to divide by the "level" of the guest, but they stopped), but you need to go to the restaurant to make an order, they make discounts in different ways, they cook like Russian roulette (sometimes tasty, sometimes not so). Children's play areas in buildings 6 and 7 need cleaning, being in the hotel for almost 20 days I still look at hair and dirt on the rugs (from food or something unknown), there are almost no toys or they are broken and naturally no one has ever washed them, but thank you for the fact that they are there ... Guests complained about cockroaches, it's good that we only had ants running around. I don't think I will come back here again, I received the same reviews from others. The rooms themselves are not bad, enough space, the electricity was cut off a couple of times at whole hotel, wi-fi for guests worked intermittently. But in general hotel looks very nice. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach, very quickly by bike, first along a road where cars rarely drive, then along an active street. On Surin beach, all the shade is occupied by sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, but the sea is wonderful, the beach is quite clean (low bow to the female volunteer who cleans it every day).
If the hotel management worked on themselves and the level of service, cleanliness and freshness of their hotel, then it would be possible to make the place wonderful. But shuttles should work constantly and for everyone!

I regret staying here, the buffet food is terrible they serve same thing every day and the food was cold. Not much of a variety and the waitress had an attitude when asked for anything. They also charged me 500 bth because I used a towel to clean coffee from a mug that was already broken. But they don't leave anything else to clean counters. I should of not cleaned up the mess and let it spill all over the counter and floors. The location is terrible, you have to climb alot of stairs just to get in and out of the rooms and hotel (not senior friendly) i warn all travelers stay at your own risk I paid alot of money to relax and enjoy our stay but was really disappointed.

The scenery here is amazing, and the swimming pool is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are well-equipped with a washing machine, microwave, and other essentials, making it very convenient for a longer stay. The only downside is that you have to walk uphill to get to the resort, but this also means the location is very peaceful and secluded. Overall, a great place to relax and unwind!
