Pretty beach, friendly staff — but the food ruined everything. The beach at this resort was pretty not what I expected but pretty, and the service from the staff was genuinely great. Everyone was friendly and wait staff went above and beyond. The wildlife was really fun to watch as well! Pool was huge and nice! However the reason this place has many good reviews is the wait staff gives you good service then wants you to rate them, not the food or resort! With all the reviews the bad ones get hidden!! Unfortunately, the food completely overshadowed the good parts of our trip. Almost every meal tasted off — either bland, sour, or just wrong. Worst food I've ever had. Everything was served at the wrong temperature — cold when it should’ve been hot, or warm when it should’ve been chilled. It felt unsafe and unprofessional. Most buffets were outside so impossible to keep the food at the right temperature when its 90 degrees outside. There were fine dining restaurants however their system to make reservations was frustrating and after getting sick we weren't willing to keep trying new restaurants. Every alcoholic drink was watered down that we were served leaving it with very little flavor. Our room was clean however the fridge wasn't cold. The shower head was broken. The ceiling was leaking I'm guessing from the humidity. No chairs on the balcony. Our balcony door also wouldn't lock. Worst of all, we both ended up sick after eating here and stayed sick for nearly a week after returning home. Clearly, something was not right with how the food was handled. Definitely not the souvenir we planned to bring back. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this resort unless you want to loose some weight. Unfortunately it was our first time out of the country and this experience makes me never want to leave the country again!

The resort is very beautiful we love the wildlife and the jungle fill in every twist and turn that you go you never know what you will encounter. We loved our rooms location being oceanfront very beautiful scenery everyday. Our room was kind of small and after 12 days you kind of are ready for more room. The Royal level service is outstanding and the restaurant far exceeded our expectations. The Royal level restaurant manager Pamela went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and the staff Jesus ambrosia Charlie and lever all were outstanding as well. The chef Henry and Rosa prepared delicious dishes, and Sara from the bar did it outstanding job of keeping our drinks coming.

Beautiful place to stay. The hotel grounds are massive, with several pools spread across different areas, a bunch of restaurants and bars, beach access, small archaeological sites, golf areas, animal exhibits, and lots of wildlife just roaming around. There's always something interesting to see or do. Since it’s an all-inclusive resort, it’s very family-friendly, which means there are a lot of kids around. If you're looking for a quieter or more adults-only vibe, that’s something to keep in mind. Because the resort is so big, getting around can take some time. Whether it’s walking from the lobby to your room, your room to the pool, or from the pool to one of the restaurants or the theater, be ready to do a fair amount of walking, often in direct sun. Definitely bring sunscreen and maybe even a hat. Still, it’s all part of the experience and worth it for everything the place offers.

Had dinner at The Oriental with Yenny as our server. Had phenomenal flamed vanilla ice cream that was to die for. Would sell my first born to taste it for the first time again. All jokes, but my family of picky eaters was incredibly delighted, and received wonderful service. Also had rides from a gentleman named Moses who spawned when we most needed him. Moses was knowledgeable about the property and personable as well. Also my daughters who are of drinking age had too much one night, and decided to walk home. An unnamed worker was able to spot the two of them, and drove them back to their room safely. Am forever grateful for the staff and hospitality we received.

Overall the service and location was great however our room had light insulation and you can hear everyone talking outside. In fact we had a lovely domestic last night to which I had to call security after 25 mins of yelling at 12am. Also, the room was wouldn’t get cold. The refrigerator will not cool. I found out one reason the room is hot is our patio door has to be slightly opened in order to lock it. I asked the front desk to please fix it but as you can see it’s not in the photo. I was sent a email from the company asking how they could make it right but I haven’t heard back from them. Overall I would recommend this place but a huge reservation on the ability to relax at night. I will update if anything changes.
