Had an amazing stay here at Occidental Xcaret. Rooms were clean and and spacious. Bed needs replacing, there's a lump in the middle or you can say the sides have settled. Hotel was very clean and safe. Pools were great! Staff was always courteous and very friendly. The staff at the Morning Buffet was amazing! I highly recommend you ask for Wiliam, Antonio or Mary. These guys are what make your day!

I initially thought this hotel was nice. I liked the lobby and the way it seemed secured. However, I saw a lot of flys everywhere on the food trays and most of the members in my party & myself included got food posioning. My bf had the worst food posioning he'd ever experience, not even covid was similar to that! They also don't offer any remedy for guest who get sick at their restaurants. After asking for a water bottle at a restaurant that will give you a glass of warm water. Everything is also watered down such as juices & teas. I called reception to get me ice, among other things while me & my bf were sick from food poisoning, but I never received anything I ordered by phone or on the information desks. I also felt like it was a major Inconvenience that the shops and lobby didn't have any AC, because it is very humid there. The least they could do is get AC while people buy things. I also felt that the floors were major safety hazards, a lot of people were slipping and falling. The pool is fine but there's a slight smell to it and lots of big ants in the outer cracks, you're better off looking elsewhere with better pricing & safer food choices. It's not worth your money

This resort is wonderful, but we wanted to specifically highlight our server at (Los Olivios?) Italian restaurant. “Rigoberto” Ramirez was wonderful! Very kind, great service and wonderful personality. My husband and I had a great night thanks to him, so much so that we felt the need to ask for his name and leave him a nice review. Personable and genuine. Request his service and you will not be disappointed! I believe his name was Rigoberto, but I’m not sure. Wonderful guy, great food, great resort!

We had dinner at El Pescador inside the Occidental Resort at Xcaret Cancun with our family of four. We started with a shrimp cocktail and shrimp bisque soup, both very good. The seabass and mahi-mahi were delicious and cooked perfectly. The Land and Sea dish, however, was disappointing — the steak was rubbery and small, and the shrimp lacked flavor. Dessert, a banana and ice cream dish, was just okay. Our server Guadalupe Méndez was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall, great seafood and excellent service, though the surf and turf and dessert could be improved.

We had the best trip ever!!!! We celebrated our two year wedding anniversary in our favorite resort. We loved every aspect of this resort from the bartenders to the servers. Everyone is so kind and accommodating. From walking through the jungles to watching monkeys swing from trees this resort is a place you keep coming back! Big shout out to our favorite breakfast crew at the royal club: Samuel, Raquel, Danielle, and everyone else. Thank you for helping us start our day off with delicious breakfast. To our favorite bartender: Javier: we were so excited to see you this trip and can’t wait to celebrate next year with you again sipping our favorite drinks. To everyone who worked at royal: you know exactly how to make people feel special and will see us next year!!! Many many thanks to a wonderful trip.
