I recently dined at Le Buffet Occidental and had the pleasure of being served by Ricardo Be. From the moment we were seated, his warm smile and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. He took the time to explain the menu in detail, offering insightful recommendations that truly enhanced our dining experience. Throughout our meal, Ricardo Be was attentive without being intrusive. They ensured our drinks were always full and checked in on us at just the right moments. It was evident that they genuinely cared about making our experience enjoyable. When I mentioned my dietary restrictions, Ricardo Be went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, suggesting delicious alternatives that I would not have considered otherwise.
Overall, I absolutely recommend Ricardo Be! Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail made our visit memorable. If you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience at Le buffet, be sure to ask for Ricardo Be. You won’t be disappointed!

Everything was absolutely excellent! We have been coming to this resort for the past 15+ years, but our experience in Royal for the last four years has exceeded all our expectations- the staff goes above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for.. These were the people who took amazing care of us: Alberto, Samuel, Daniel, Javier, David A- they made our breakfast daily - Always for the smile. They stopped to answer all our questions., They gave us their suggestions for places to visit, and they Who are extremely picky eaters. Then there was Cynthia from the Royal Bar and Brisa who made us delicious drinks and always were attentive to our children’s needs as well.Our dinners were the best! We are so grateful for Francisco and Ambrosio! We will be back next fall with our entire family ! Thank you for the amazing families you and the resort help us create! See you soon! ♥️

Such a great experience. We will be back soon. Leo at the beach club was so nice and helpful. This resort is very safe everyone had a smile on. Very impressed with this resort the only thing I would change is I should of booked longer then a week. Next time I'm going to do two weeks so I can do more excursions and enjoy all that they have here at the resort. Book here you won't regret it.

Updated Review: Disappointing Stay at Occidental Xcaret Hotel Mexico
I recently stayed at the Occidental Xcaret for 3 nights, booking 2 rooms and spending over $2,000. While I want to emphasize that Victor provided exceptional service during our stay, the rest of the experience was far below expectations. Before booking, I mistakenly thought Occidental was part of the Xcaret Hotel, but it’s not, and unfortunately, it did not live up to what I had hoped for.
Here are the main reasons why I would not recommend this hotel:
1. Poor Food Quality: Apart from the steakhouse, which you can only access for one night, the rest of the food was very disappointing. The majority of meals were buffet-style with limited and low-quality options. We found ourselves struggling to find anything enjoyable to eat.
2. Water Pressure Issues: The water pressure in the hotel was terrible, especially during the daytime. After reporting the issue, we were told it was due to high usage during the day. The following day, the pressure improved slightly, but there was almost no hot water, which was equally frustrating.
3. Plumbing Problems: In one of the rooms, we had issues with the toilet not flushing properly, and to top it off, there was a leak from the ceiling. This added to the overall discomfort of our stay.
In summary, if you’re considering staying here, I strongly advise against it. Despite the positive service from Victor, the food, water, and room conditions left much to be desired. There are better options in the area, so don’t make the same mistake we did.

The whole staff and service has been incredible. Alejandro made sure the check-in was effortless, and took the time to answer my questions. If you’re planning on booking a massage, I would highly recommend Guadalupe. I am planning to make this trip more frequently. This place is definitely a paradise.
