Just arrived back from a lovely stay here. The hotel is clean. The staff are friendly. The beds are very comfortable. There's a good choice at breakfast. It's well placed as it's just a short walk into town but the hill back up is a killer but there's plenty of buses and taxis that are particularly expensive. If you don't fancy a walk into town there's a good selection of bars and restaurants round the hotel too. We had no problem with getting sunbeds or a table for breakfast but it is term time so that may have helped. One day we woke up to heavy rain but we had a relaxing morning in the spa/ indoor pool until then rain cleared. The indoor pool was really cold last year but this year they have taken feedback on board and it was warmer this year. One thing to note is the hotel card only now so you can't pay cash for anything in the hotel. We already planning our next stay here. Only negative is that one night the barman hadn't brought our drinks after 20 minutes and when we looked over he was chatting to 2 men who were sat at the bar so we think he forgot them but we weren't bothered and just went on up to bed without them and it certainly didn't bother us enough to make a fuss while we were there or to knock any marks off.

The Pestana Casino Hotel in Madeira offers a remarkable stay, perfectly situated in the city center. Guests are treated to breathtaking views of the Atlantic, making every moment spent on the balcony unforgettable. The large pool area is a fantastic spot for relaxation, surrounded by lush gardens and ample sun loungers. The rooms are cozy and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. Overall, it's an ideal blend of luxury, convenience and stunning scenery. The staff is also amazing, making you feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira!

The hotel is large a well located. The amenities are fantastic and the grounds are beautiful. However , Eduardo made our stay even better. He went over and above to make sure our stay was perfect, from fixing a booking error i made to making sure we had great excursions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

People are really nice, accommodating BUT we had a room on Casino side and every night until 4am there is loud noise and music from the Casino even with window closed.
To eat at the hotel, buffet or finger food, no restaurant. Breakfast buffet has a wide variety but the food quality is poor.
Good amenities but no coffee machine in the room or kettle (on demand). Room cleaning wasn't the greatest.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooftop pool with its stunning views and the beautiful infinity pool were definitely the highlights – perfect spots to relax and unwind. The spa is lovely, offering a truly relaxing experience, though it could use more seating when the weather isn’t great. The gym is well-equipped, but I did notice quite a few mosquitoes, which was a bit distracting. Aside from that, everything else was top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall ambiance was perfect for a getaway. I would definitely come back!
