Stayed here earlier this month. Loved the hotel. Superb location. Had a lovely room overlooking the pools and sea. Although plenty of wardrobe space would like to see more drawers but very spacious room. The pools are beautiful. My only main criticism is no stairs and had to wait for a lift each time - even for one floor! All in all though an excellent hotel in a superb location and it was all very clean.

We spent a truly wonderful holiday at the Pestana Promenade. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and all staff and service personnel were always friendly and attentive. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Rodrigues, who was always there for us as guest manager, organized excursions, and immediately helped with any questions or issues. The hotel itself also impressed us: the rooms were clean and comfortable, the food offered a wide variety every day and was of excellent quality. The overall atmosphere – from the pool to the bar and the common areas – was simply fantastic. We had an amazing time here and can highly recommend this hotel without any hesitation. It was one of the best holidays we have ever had.

A luscious oasis of calm nestled amongst beautiful gardens with ocean views at every turn. Staff could not have done more to show their kindness and care for my family when we stayed to celebrate my mothers 80th birthday. Plenty to do (walks, trips, kayak, boats, tours) and some livelier bars and night spots with fantastic cocktails etc. Mum is hoping we can come for her next b day and the whole family would be delighted to repeat our experience. This our 3rd year staying in Madeira. But first time in this hotel. People who works here are amazing, ready to help with anything you asked. Room is comfortable, has little kitchen area, with electrical stove, tea pot, microwave, little refrigerator with freezer and sink. Balcony is big and has a beautiful view. Beads are firm, but comfortable. Can't say the same about pillows. I don't know what they fill with- hard as rock. TV has a lot of channels with movies and news. Majority in German. Outside area is beautiful. 3 outside pools- 1 for young children. Another big pool is inside the health complex where you can find jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sauna. Also they have massage area, but we didn't use it. There are water aerobics classes in indoor pool area everyday. Amazing classes! You can enter Promenade from pool area, which is very convenient. We had Breakfast and Dinner included in our stay. Breakfast was good, not a lot to choose from but delicious. The dinner on other hand did not make us happy. We regret to add this option to our stay. Ended up going to different restaurants and paying extra money for it. The pool bar - the Deck - has a good variety for lunch, which save us a lot. Only sad part we never used our Pestana membership card with 10% discount. I wish if it would be used automatically at hotel. Otherwise Madeira make us happy.

I was there with my husband and we had a great time. We particularly appreciated the location (we had an impressive ocean view, there are many restaurants nearby and alleys to walk by the ocean), tha staff (they were very attentive with everything we needed during our stay) and the very beautiful garden and pool. The food was also really good and the spa experience was something to look forward to. We would like to come back there in the near future.
