Stayed at this hotel during my trip for the Funchal marathon . I have to say I had an amazing stay . The room was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped with amazing views . The hotel was very peaceful and quiet which made it perfect for relaxation. The staff are absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond and made everything so smooth from check in to check out, always happy to help and advise . Thank you. Also a special thank you to the barmaid in the hotel bar. Such a warm , smiling and welcoming personality really made me feel welcome and visits to the bar a highlight. Thank you . Thank you again to you all . I will look forward to returning to beautiful Madeira and staying at your great hotel .

I am a frequent traveler, and this was my 2nd stay at this hotel...Rooms are large and clean ( with great views!) although they could use a refresher, as could the mattresses....It would also be nice to have direct charging outlets that don't require a converter ! That being said, overall the hotel is very well maintained.. ..Everything is spotless, and the staff is amazing and hardworking The grounds and gardens are lovely, and all the pools are well maintained..The bathrooms still have the climb in tub/ shower combo, which will hopefully be renovated someday...The food selection at breakfast and dinner is varied and fresh, but somewhat repetitive if your stay is longer than a week.. Items are replenished regularly.The hotel is in a great location... It's only a short walk into Funchal, the Forum, and many restaurants...The airport and local bus stops are directly in front of the hotel... As an aside, when I boarded the airport bus, I sadly realized that in my haste, I had forgotten to leave tips for the weekday and weekend room cleaners..😔

First time staying at Promenade and overall enjoying our stay! The hotel is good looking and has all you need for a pleasant vacation. Few things in my opinion can still be improved. The service sometimes feels a bit rude or not caring, not always but on a few occasions. Also few details of the room could be improved and those are the beds that feel a bit cheap and hard and a bit better accessories for example in the kitchen. Also the sofabed for our 5th person in our T2 was kinda awful. On the positive side the location of the hotel is amazing. The pool areas are great and the views from the balcony are insane! Also the pool bar really surprised us by the quality of the snacks!

The hotel it self is very nice and the service people too. But the rooms could of been cleaner. The bathroom had piss on the walls and the shower head was broken. The worst part was the A/C being extremely loud and not working properly. It was so hot in the room we did not sleep well. It seemed like they shut it down during the night. I asked them many times but still did not work. I was disappointed since it is a quite nice resort. I specifically chose place for them to have A/C so when it doesn’t work its frustrating.

Mixed feelings for this hotel. Definitely a good location with a great view on the ocean. Nice pools as well. However, our room and quality of breakfast were not up to a 4-stars hotel. Another point, it is very annoying that people feel empowered to put their towels on the pool chairs to reserve them and then leave to come back just hours later. Since there are not so many chairs, the personnel should not allow that.
