Our stay at Anantara Qasr Al Sarab started on a disappointing note due to poor service at check-in, which was unfortunate as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and had pre-arranged a room surprise nearly a month in advance, with multiple follow-ups with Guest Relations prior to arrival. We were informed that the hotel was operating at full capacity, which likely contributed to the initial lapse. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the way the feedback was handled. After raising the concern, Mahamad Anas from the Guest Relations team stepped in and managed the situation with genuine professionalism, empathy, and urgency. The issue was acknowledged & immediately, corrective actions were taken, and thoughtful gestures were made to make amends — clearly demonstrating that guest feedback here is taken seriously and acted upon. A particularly meaningful touch was the personal handwritten note from the General Manager, which made us feel truly valued and cared for as guests. This gesture, combined with the sincere service recovery, completely transformed our experience and made our celebration feel special after all. This stay was a powerful reminder that in the service industry, things can occasionally go wrong, especially during busy periods — but what defines true luxury is how a team listens, takes ownership, and follows through. We left feeling genuinely grateful and with a very positive impression of the hotel and its leadership. An experience that ultimately exceeded expectations because of how beautifully it was handled.

But it’s a premium, somewhat remote experience that’s best enjoyed as a multi-day getaway rather than a quick stop. About a 2-hour drive from Abu Dhabi. It’s great for luxury travelers seeking a unique desert retreat. Couples and honeymooners. Best for people who want peace, spa relaxation, and desert experiences. The team went above and beyond — they even surprised us with a beautiful sand art display outside our villa wishing us well. It was such a thoughtful touch that made our stay extra special. From Farhan at the front desk to Kiki at breakfast, every interaction was wonderful. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel so welcomed. The service is truly top-notch, and you can see how much they care for their guests. The activities were equally magical — from the open-sky cinema under the stars to walking through the serene sand dunes, everything was mesmerizing and unforgettable. Quarter Al Sarab is an oasis of tranquility set in the serenity of the desert. A Magical experience. My lasting impression is of the genuine warmth, welcome and caring given by Michele and his wonderful staff. A place to soothe the soul. There is yoga and sound healing, healing massage, with world class practitioners , star gazing , horse or camel riding, archery, paddle, tennis, laser clay shooting, archery polaris and more. Excellent cuisine and accommodation. Imagine an infinity pool at sunset with the desert behind.There is nowhere on earth quite like it. I highly recommend it. Winter months .
