Excellent service at every stage of our journey, a beautiful hotel surrounded by nature, and a stunning location on Railay Beach. The breakfast was absolutely incredible—the best we’ve had in any 5-star hotel we’ve visited in Thailand. The hotel also has a nurse available in case of illnesses, which we really appreciated. A big thank you to her for taking care of my husband, who got a food poisoning.
However, the food poisoning brought some cleaning issues to mind:
The room was stocked with fresh fruit daily, which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, on our last day, I realized that clean plates were not provided each day for the fruit. Instead, our dirty plates and cutlery were put back on the shelf (sticky and covered with dried fruit pieces). This was unpleasant to discover... When we discussed with the nurse what my husband had eaten prior to getting sick, we realized that we had first eaten at the hotel’s restaurant, and afterward, he cut and ate fruit using these dirty plates. While this is, of course, speculative, it is a possibility reason. Before arriving at Rayavadee, we had traveled in Thailand for quite some time without any stomach issues, so it was unfortunate to encounter this here.
Otherwise, our experience was very good, and we hope to return someday to fully enjoy this amazing hotel in better health.

Rayavadee-Luna was an incredible greeter and host for our visit. Very thorough and gracious. We loved everything about our stay, our villa, the food and beverage options, and the surroundings. The staff were relentless in making us happy. Do not pay attention to bad reviews. This resort is in the #1 location and resort on Railay and many travelers try to get on the property and are turned away. Just have your room key ready when you re-enter the property so that you are warmly welcomed. This is one of the best resort stays I’ve ever experienced. The property is magical, especially at night. We will certainly return in the future!

A true sanctuary where luxury meets serenity. The moment we step into your room, We were enveloped in a refreshing ambiance that whispers tranquility. The entire space exudes an irresistible spa-like aura, seamlessly blending elegance with comfort.
Our butler organized a private tour to the famous islands and beaches. Oh, but the adventure didn't stop there! Out of nowhere, our gracious hosts unveiled a surprise lunch on a secluded island, reserved solely for us and our friends.
Exquisite cuisine, accompanied by the finest champagne, making us feel like royalty.
Trust me, you'll leave with cherished memories and a longing to return to this mesmerizing haven.

This hotel was a huge disappointment for us. It is very old and it really needs a refresh in every aspect. Rayavadee is often mentioned as one of the best luxury hotels in Thailand, so our expectations were very high, but unfortunately this was true maybe 30 years ago. The staff were really nice, the food was average, including the Grotto restaurant. They make the Grotto restaurant look super-exclusive; you need to pre-order the menu and there are cancellation penalties. I don’t understand why there are so many restrictions. On pictures, it may look like it is in some harder accessible location, which would make this understandable, but it’s actually located directly in the hotel area.
On the other hand, the hotel location is truly beautiful, beaches are the best, nature is everywhere and the monkeys are so cute. There are a lot of tourists in the area, but the hotel facilities, including all restaurants, are for guests only, which is nice. It’s a peaceful escape from crowds, and you’re going to feel exclusive.
To summarize that, if you expect a truly luxury and comfortable accommodation, you will be very disappointed. But if you just want to enjoy one of the most beautiful nature place in Thailand, this hotel is a good choice.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Rayavadee. The resort was spotless, the food at The Grotto was exceptional, and the views were truly incredible. Transportation to and from the property was smooth and hassle-free. The staff were outstanding—Han at reception made us feel welcome from the start, remembering our names and greeting us warmly throughout the weekend, and Adam from the water sports center was an absolute pleasure. We can’t recommend this resort highly enough and hope to return in the future!
