Only reason for two stars is because of the friendly staff. The place is seriously lacking in general upkeep and maintenance. 80% of the sun beds are broken in some way or the other. Broken/cracked floor tiles everywhere including inside pools. Some of these tiles have been left as is and have sharp points and edges cause cuts to feet. The glass balustrades many of them have cracks or chips around them making them unsafe to keep. Water pressure in the bathroom is okay and no temperature fluctuations which is ideal with sun burnt skin. Staff were phenomenal and the only reason they get two stars, however management are to blame for lack of up keep. Its not always about the money.... invest in what you owe. Food is okay. Salads are probably stored next to fish cause there was a pungent fish smell coming from all cold dishes (salad, sandwich meats etc) Anyways. Overall an okay stay for price paid however but there are other places that would most likely offer more for the same price if not a little bit more.

The restaurant needs a deep clean. The coffee machines need to be descaled. There are NO kettles or complementary coffee/tea sachets in the rooms in this 4* hotel…the carpet in the hallway is filthy and needs to be changed. The lifts are ridiculously small considering there are mostly families staying. We had to wait up to 15 minutes for a free lift with a baby in a pushchair. At times I wanted to carry the pushchair down the stairs myself. Food is pretty decent. There are a few pools you can stay at which is nice. There are a few really nice spots to take pictures. All the staff is really nice. It’s really clear that this hotel operates based on quantity and not quality. My expectations were different based on how much I paid for this holiday. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed at Maxorata Resort over Christmas 2024 with extended family in another apartment. When we arrived, we were booked in within a reasonable time frame, but the welcome was far from warm. We were given directions to the room and left to it. A smile and a friendly greeting would have helped. We were impressed that they reopened the restaurant for us as about 30 people arrived too late for dinner. It was just some cold bits and not the usual full service, but we thought this was very thoughtful. Overall, the food was good throughout our stay. There was plenty of variety, and it was all very tasty. A few things let it down. As others have said, they let too many things go cold. An example is the scrambled egg at breakfast. A huge pan is there without anything, keeping it warm. This was the same for about 50% of the food. It's such a shame as it's all really delicious, but this oversight hampered the experience. By far the my biggest complaint about the food was that one of the cooks that was on pancakes. She had a cold and was wiping her nose on a bit tissue, placing tissue to the side of the gridle and then stacking up pancakes with the same hand. We didn't have pancakes that day. I'll try and keep this short, so to summarise the rest... The rooms are OK but slightly tired. General cleanliness of the site is poor. I've never stayed anywhere where guests would so frequently ditch rubbish, glasses, and crockery in the raised flower beds. Obviously, this was not the fault of the hotel, but some of these things stayed there for up to 3 days, which made it seem acceptable to others, and the problem just gets worse. The entertainment crew are a hard-working bunch, but they seem to lack any guidance. Some of the entertainment was OK. The Motown night was great fun. The variety show, however, oh my days. Families sat around watching a dodgy burlesque section and then a joke about a blind chap that I last saw in the 80s. With very few clothes and lots of legs being spread, it didn't seem fit for family viewing, and I think they knew that as they moved kids away from the stage. It's not like they couldn't still see when sitting with their families, though. Finally, the drinks. The beer is OK, the soft drinks are OK, the spirits were hit and miss, and the cocktails are gross. Good company meant that we had a good time, but the resort didn't amplify the experience, so I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Location is superb. Service in reception was great as in the restaurant. Good quality food but no so good on drinks Rooms were a bit dirty. Short staffed, so staff does a quick job. Don't refill shower gel/toilet paper...or clean the floor. Shower was dripping brown from walls on our first shower.... Main reception was clean but communal toilets very dirty. Dispensers broken and never fixed. Corridors in the outside area to the rooms were shockingly dirty too

I wish I could say this was a pleasant stay for our Christmas holiday 22/12/24-29/12/24 but this couldn't be further from the truth. Levels of cleanliness were absolutely appalling. Rooms not cleaned to a good standard and did not have that lovely fresh smell upon entry. 'Fresh' towels smell musty and bed sheets not changed once. We even had mould in our kettle! No coffee or tea left in rooms. Bins are left overflowing around the hotel, with rubbish and dirty cups left outside rooms. Shockingly, broken glass left on the floor, despite reading another review where somebody had cut their glass badly due to broken glass, clearly staff didn't learn! Hotel overall is tatty and needs tidying up, pool tiles and floor tiles cracked and broken. Paint peeling off the walls everywhere you look. Shockingly, the safes in the rooms are charged at €4.50 per day, which should be included for a supposed 4 star hotel. WiFi did not work the entire time depiste speaking to staff 4 times. We attempted to complain to a receptionist and his response was 'what can I do, I am only receptionist'. These staff have no care or consideration at all. Food is bland, cold or raw. You would expect turning up to dinner at the earliest time available it would be hot but no. Food is not fresh and nothing seasoned so everything just tastes bland. Pools freezing so cant even use them. They are NOT heated. The sea was warmer! Do not waste your money here! This is not 4 star standard. Photos speak for themselves.
