I’m not one use reviews when booking a holiday. Everyone’s expectations and opinions are different but on this occasion I would have avoided this hotel based on some of the negatives. Firstly, if transfers are included in your package holiday I would consider spending the money on a taxi. It says an hour from the airport but by the time all the drop off have been done it was a 2 hour coach ride. On arrival the hotel look tired and could do with a few touch ups but nothing to cry about. Then reception… chaos. Unorganised, flustered. Lady gave us no information about the 2 restaurants that need booking in advance or could even tell us where our room is, we needed up asking a cleaner. The staff clearly struggle with pressure and can be quite rude. The manager rolled his eyes at me when I asked for a towel and spare pillow as you only have 1 very thin pillow on the bed. The kitchen staff work really hard and are very friendly and polite. I enjoyed the food. Always a lot of variety. The poolside again quite tried and needs touching up but the pools themselves are clean. The view is probably the hotels greatest asset. Breaktaking panorama of the beach. Overall if you can afford to spend a bit more and go to a different hotel, I would.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Clean, modern, friendly staff. A huge selection of food. Room had a terrace with a sea view, mini fridge, comfy beds, nice bathroom. The hotel felt safe and was a 10 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend.

WARNING! DO NOT GO HERE! There are huge cockroaches everywhere: in the rooms, hallways at the pool… Food is not safe to eat, i was unable to eat more than 2 bites, it’s just disgusting, they even failed to make a proper pizza… Elevators are broken down, toilets are filthy, still have visible marks of previous visitors. Staff is aware of the problems, but refuses to do anything about it, they rather stand on the kitchen counter??? (Picture) We left the same night we got here. For €1400, this is the worst place i have ever been on a vacation.

Great location, but the food and drinks were poor. We chose this hotel mainly for the heated pool, but it was only slightly warmer than the unheated one and still too cold. I’ve stayed at another SBH hotel where the water was truly warm and my kids couldn’t get out of it. Here, they mostly played table tennis because the pool was freezing. I give one star only for the hard-working cleaning and restaurant staff. I’m disappointed and will probably not choose SBH hotels again.

Soul Purpose

We are still here as I write this review, and I feel it’s important to share an honest, real perspective for anyone considering this resort. First and foremost, please don’t be put off by negative reviews. From our actual experience, this hotel is clean, well organised, and extremely well maintained. The cleaning effort is constant and visible throughout the entire day. Staff are always working around the complex, and it genuinely shows. In the buffet area, you can stand up to get food and return to find your table already wiped and reset. That level of attention happens consistently. The food has been excellent, with a wide variety available daily. There truly is something for everyone, including those who are more selective with food. Everything is well presented, fresh, and regularly replenished. Yes, occasionally you may see a cup or plate left somewhere around the complex. However, every single time we’ve noticed this, it has been cleared away very quickly. In a resort of this size, catering for a large number of guests all day long, that is completely understandable — and the important thing is that it’s dealt with promptly, which it always is. The resort itself is huge, bright, and welcoming. There is always cleaning going on, staff are always visible, and the place feels actively looked after rather than neglected. If a few areas here or there could benefit from a fresh coat of paint, that honestly doesn’t affect the holiday experience at all. What matters most is cleanliness, atmosphere, and service — and those are excellent. One moment that really stood out for me personally was a conversation I had with one of the managers while I was sitting on a massage chair. I explained to her that my experience of the hotel matched everything written in this review — how clean it is, how hard the staff work, and how positive the atmosphere feels. She was an absolutely lovely lady, very approachable, kind, and genuinely engaged in listening. That interaction alone says a lot about the leadership and care behind this place. What truly makes this resort special is the staff. Every single staff member we’ve encountered has been friendly, energetic, and professional, always offering service with a smile. You can feel the pride they take in their work, and it reflects throughout the hotel. Their effort deserves recognition, and it genuinely enhances the whole experience. The location is fantastic — close to everything — and the sun shines over the complex all day. The atmosphere is relaxed and uplifting. This resort is excellent for families with children, but it’s also ideal for couples or solo travellers looking for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. For us, this holiday has also been a reminder of how fortunate we are to be able to travel and enjoy places like this. We’ve felt genuinely grateful throughout our stay. We are honestly sad to be leaving in the morning, which says a lot. We’ve had a wonderful time and will definitely return. Thank you SBH for a fantastic stay — we are truly grateful. ⭐ 11/10 — highly recommended. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
