We had a lovely stay at Old Palace Resort. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very relaxing, with a great beach! What really made the experience special was the outstanding staff. Special thanks to Mr Moamen (Duty manager) and Mr Wael & Mr Mohamed at reception (Front office) for their warm welcome and professionalism. Mr Ahmed X and Mr Ismail in the restaurant deserve praise beside Chef Ahmed for the delicious good-range food. All staff members had energy and friendliness, went above and beyond to make our holiday speacial. Highly recommended, and I would definitely return!

The Old Palace Hotel certainly does not feel like a true 5-star property. The entire structure is quite old-fashioned, dating back to the 1990s, and would benefit from a general renovation. That said, the hotel is very large and offers many facilities, including a spacious dining hall, wide common areas, swimming pools, bar and direct access to a private beach. The room has some drawbacks, especially the bathroom, which is very outdated and in need of refurbishment. The bathtub with a plastic curtain feels old-style, and the lighting in the room is rather poor, making the space less welcoming than expected. A very positive aspect is the internet connection, which works extremely well throughout the entire resort—something that is definitely not guaranteed in Egypt. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are all very good in terms of quality and variety. However, it would be helpful to have labels with the names of the dishes, as there were none available. The staff is generally friendly and polite, although at times a more discreet attitude from some male waiters toward female guests would be more appropriate. The beach and all related services are excellent, with plenty of sunbeds and loungers and very kind, attentive staff, making it an ideal place to relax. One noticeable downside is the lack of proper entertainment. Animation is either minimal or poorly organized; a structured daily schedule with well-planned activities and games would greatly improve the experience. Additionally, the table tennis area is hidden away and poorly located and should be moved to a more visible and accessible area. Overall, the Old Palace Hotel has great potential and offers many good services, but it clearly needs modernization and better organization of entertainment activities to truly meet 5-star standards.

I have been coming here twice a year since 2015 and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The welcome from the staff when you arrive is sincere and all the staff are friendly, professional, from the reception team, the porters who take you to your room, the restaurant staff who look after you, the pool guys - everyone is great. The food is buffet style so you can always find something, and although I have no food allergies I have seen the care the head chef takes with people who have. The location and facilities are excellent with two pools to choose from and a fantastic beach front as well. The house keeping staff keep the place clean and tidy and the ground staff look after the gardens well. I can’t recommend the Old Palace enough

Great week at the Old Palace. Big shout out to CHEF Mahmoud Megally the most amazing grill chef. Crab, fish, chicken, poussin, quail, Koftas and much more all grilled to perfection! Big shout out to Bassan who looked after our room and made us laugh with his towel sculpturing! Great team at the lobby bar who kept our drinks full as we played our magnetic game. Perfect holiday.

Beautiful facility with stunning views directly on the beach. The beach is spacious — mostly sandy with crystal-clear water, perfect for swimming and relaxing. The pool area is clean and offers comfortable private sunbeds by the beach (tip: reserve your sunbed early before breakfast if you want a first-row spot). The hotel organizes daily activities and stretching sessions by the beach, along with evening entertainment that adds a nice lively vibe. Breakfast has a good variety and the food is tasty. Staff are friendly, polite, and always willing to help. The surrounding area is pleasant to walk around, with a nice beach promenade and several restaurants and a supermarket just a 2-minute walk away. Room service menu is quite limited and not the best option to consider, and the room tiles are a bit old and could use some renovation. However, overall it’s a lovely place for a relaxing beach holiday. 🌴☀️
