We recently stayed at Secrets Riviera Cancun, and we couldn't have had a better experience. The resort itself was wonderful, and the staff went above and beyond to take care of us, even when the weather threw some challenges their way.
A special shoutout to Luis, our bartender at the Preferred Bar, who really elevated our stay. He was always attentive, answered all our questions with a smile, and made sure we enjoyed our time. The Preferred Bar was a highlight for us, as some of the other bars were a bit overcrowded, but Luis managed to create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere that made us feel special.
The entertainment team also deserves recognition. We had an absolute blast with the nightclub activities—karaoke, the silent disco, and a fantastic cabaret show. They brought so much fun to our evenings!
And finally, the food! Every restaurant we tried was elegant and served absolutely delicious dishes. We couldn't pick a favorite—they were all fantastic.
Thank you, Secrets Riviera Cancun, for a memorable trip. We'll definitely be back!

I was there on on September 29/24 for a week. I enjoyed my stay however I would not go back to this resort.
Most of the staffs are very nice but I would like to point out that Adrian from concierge went above and beyond and Luis the bartender was awesome.
I got sick from the construction noise happening on the resort.
The hotel offer to move me after I got really sick from the construction noise. They did not even follow up to see if I was doing better.
After I moved I called front desk/preferred desk and ask why I was moved to Breathless. Originally, Oscar did not explain where I was moving to but when I called about it, Lucia must have been having a bad day or something because she was nice before but this particular evening she was so rude. I eventually moved back to my original room.
The main reason I would not go back is because I was not able to go into the ocean. You are either stepping on sharp rocks or sinking in mud.
I was also very surprise that the road into the resort was so bad.
the main road is fine. The resorts can and should do better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Secrets, great resort with plenty of optional amenities and one of the best parts was that it wasn't busy. We had the ability to visit Breathless next door and it was nice but more active and catered toward party goers. It was great to retreat to the quiet Secrets during our 4 day 3 night stay. We had breakfast 2 times at Rosewater and dinner once. The meals were good, our favorite might have been the Hibachi at The Breathless side of the resort.

My experience here started off well, but quickly took a turn for the worst. Please STAY AWAY from the loyalty program offer in which they con you into sitting through their 90 minute presentation, which turned into a long 4.5 hours. Our electricity went out all night last night. I could understand a few hours, but an all-nighter without AC is not acceptable from such an expensive property. I ended up having to mess with the breaker box myself to get things going this morning. Food and service were excellent, but I can't find myself coming back to this property after the interruptions I've encountered. The activities at breathless could definitely be better, in my opinion. We stayed in their master suite with ocean view, which is pretty nice, but a few things in the room need to be fixed. Outlets, lights, and a small water leak.

A genuine review just got back from here! Literally lol
I looked through some of these and wanted to address some to help others.
1. Construction: my view and room was by the construction but I really didn’t hear any of it until I actually got closer even when I was at that pool I didn’t hear any of it
2. Service: I actually had great service. Everyone was super friendly and always greeted us with genuine smiles.
3. Pools: all the pools were great. The secrets side was quiet and very low key. The breathless side had a Dj who came twice during my stay. He got rained out once but music was good. Could use some variety but it was good.
4. Activities: they definitely could use more activities during the day. There are some periods where there are no activities going on throughout the day until the evening which is fine but I think offering a little bit more for guests to do could be nice.
5. Food: food was always great. There was never a time I didn’t like any of my meals. Silk city was amazing. Be prepared to have a bit of a wait as it does get very very busy especially if you are going later in the evening. Spumante delicious the carpaccio and risotto are amazing. The buffet was also delicious. The nook cafe always really good. Coconut ice cream was the best.
6. The beach unfortunately I didn’t get to go in. It was full of seaweed and I hate to touch that lol but that’s neither here or there for me.
7. Entertainment: manny, mino and I forgot the other guys name are amazing. We had a lot of fun with manny at the pool and with mino at the wink. He was very lively. The newlyweds game was fun, the mariachi, neon party was fun. At the neon party was when we finally heard different music genres. At the club the two times we went it was the same music the whole time.
8. The spaaa. Loved every minute of it. Hydrotherapy was great and my massage was also really good.
9. Lastly, I want to give a huge shout out to Luis the bartender at the check in area (he’s there for the later part of the day) he’s super nice, super chatty and friendly. He definitely puts a lot of love and effort in your drinks and for you to have a great experience while you are there.
Overall, we loved our stay there. We literally just wanted to vacation, disconnect, and be present with one another and we were able to do that.
Edit to say: we know you guys work hard to clear the beach! We definitely noticed that every single day so no worries :) it doesn’t take away from the hotel for me but I do know people go to hotels especially for the beaches.
