We thought the highlights of the hotel were the outstanding food offerings across many of the restaurants, and also the excellent Villas Club offering serving complimentary drinks and tapas all throughout the day besides all of the villa pools. The staff working around these pools were incredibly friendly and helpful and made our stay really enjoyable. We had a couple of issues during our stay with our room and found the hotel reception staff not particularly helpful at swiftly resolving them which was a little disappointing. Overall the hotel club villas section is very nice for a getaway for a bit of sun - but you do pay a price for it!

Treat Yourself and book the Ritz Carlton Abama. We will coming back every few years for the luxury experience they deliver. Rooms are spacious and clean. Pool and beach area are very relaxing. The cocktails are pricey but tasty. Try to experience all the restaurants on the resort. Spa was exceptional. Friendly staff that couldn’t do more for every guest.

The Ritz-Carlton resort in Tenerife is a truly stunning destination. The hotel rooms are beautiful, spacious, and many offer breathtaking sea views, which made our stay even more memorable. The entire resort is designed with luxury and comfort in mind, and the setting is absolutely gorgeous.
The staff were excellent—friendly, attentive, and always eager to help, ensuring we had everything we needed. The restaurants were fantastic, serving a variety of delicious dishes with excellent service.
We stayed during the last week of the seasonal holidays, but despite the busy period, there was still plenty of space to relax, especially for the kids in the pool area. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for families.
Overall, it’s an incredible place to unwind, with luxury, beautiful views, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We loved our previous stay at The Ritz Carlton Abama in 2023. Everything was perfect, which is why we decided to return for the first week of September 2024. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with this second experience.
An Indian wedding was organized over several days, and various common areas of the hotel were privatized and occupied for the occasion. This resulted in a lot of noise and changes to services, particularly during breakfast. Loud music played several times during the day and on three evenings until 11:00 p.m. There was also a lot of commotion in the hotel hallways, with shouting lasting until midnight.
Thankfully, the reception staff kindly upgraded us to a room in the villas below the main complex, away from all the noise. However, we could still hear a lot of noise coming from the main building. Additionally, a Miss Spain event was held at the same time. The contestants flooded the hotel's common areas, constantly blocking pathways to take photos. We found this to be extremely tacky and inappropriate for a hotel of this standard.
We were both surprised and disappointed that such a popular event could be organized in a place as high-end and charming as The Ritz Carlton. Moreover, during our previous perfect stay, we were offered welcome cocktails, which was not the case this time despite our request. We found it very unfortunate that this kind of special attention had disappeared.
Despite all this, the hotel is stunning, the restaurants are fabulous, and the staff is very accommodating. We were just disappointed that we did not have the same experience as last time.

An amazing resort! If it’s sun and amazing food you’re after, then this is the place to be. It is a little dated in some places and good to hear the swimming pools are being refurbished in Jan ‘25 as they are in desperate need of it. If you want to be within steps of the beach then it’s also good to know that the hotel beach is a big trek down/up a large hill (there is an option of transport every 30 minutes though). Overall, we loved our stay and loved all the amazing food!
