Terrible service!!! Hotel is old and tired and in desperate need of an update. However, they do a good job keeping it clean. Concierge is absolutely useless. My husband is in a wheelchair with a broken leg and emailed the concierge 2 weeks prior to our arrival asking for a wheelchair, shower chair, fridge so we could store his ice packs and a microwave knowing he can’t go out for all meals. When we arrived they had absolutely nothing for us and we didn’t even receive an apology! Had to call down to the front desk no less than 6 times to finally get our items 3 days later!!! My poor husband couldn’t even shower that entire time after traveling over 16 hours to get here. On 2 separate times, they “accidentally” called us at 6am for a wake up call!!! 2 times! We paid so much money to stay here for almost 2 weeks to rest, not to be woken up. Again no apologies. We’ve received absolutely nothing for any of our inconveniences. As a titanium member and frequent traveler to high end Marriott properties, this is by far the worst. I’m shocked that Ritz continues to fly its flag at this hotel. Definitely need a car if you want to explore the area. Nothing, not even a coffee shop or bar, within 10 mins from here. Views of the ocean are lovely. I’d look elsewhere again!

An absolutely stunning hotel/resort...a feast for the eyes. Our room was large with an ocean view. We paid extra to have an additional bed since I was there with my 2 daughters. The breakfast was varied & delicious. The service/attitude of everyone we encountered was friendly & professional. The only issue I had was that there was no vent in our bathroom...thus, the walls & mirrors were steamy & sweaty after every shower & the toilet area did not air out well, again because there is no vent, & therefore a lack of circulation. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable.

Incredible, there is no other place to go in Tenerife other than Ritz-Carlton. Pictures don’t do this place justice, it’s truly one of the most beautiful properties we’ve stayed at. Amazing attention to detail - made our stay a celebration for my husband’s birthday. Staff is incredible, sadly quite a bit understaffed at the pool and security (we forgot our passports and it took security 35 minutes to retrieve it when the walk to the room is 2 minutes so we missed our flight) but even with that I can’t fault the hotel overall. Everyone was kind and attentive. Thank you

Service was great. Property is gorgeous. Unfortunately our room had some strong sulfuric smell each night that they couldn’t get rid of without making the room smell like a porta potty. They offered a new room but for various reasons, we couldn’t switch. Given their attention to detail let’s assume they figure it out and it’s an anomaly. It was also bizarre our room service couldn’t be charged to the room.

An unusual Hotel in The Ritz Carlton Group. Set like a Moorish village with 6 restaurants all featuring different cuisines. The breakfast buffet is extensive and very well stocked, replenished and the service there is excellent. The Suite we had was exceptionally spacious. Strange to say, but too spacious or maybe a lack of furniture to fill the lounge area to the room. The sofas were extremely low to the ground, and a less fit person would have difficulty with getting up from them. The facilities ,coffee machine and mini bar in the room was well stocked. The overall complex, with included many rooms, large swimming pool area and a variety of shops made the complex fully inclusive and no need to venture out if not desired. The Hotel had a Venicular which went down to a sandy cove beach. A small toy train also took the road route there and run every 30 minutes. The beach is sandy and a large sectioned off for Hotel guests which have the complimentary use of beach chairs and towels. The public have the use of a part of the beach but they are obliged to walk down the many rocky steps to access the beach and as a result is appears to only be popular with locals from the island who know the drill. The Service in the Hotel and restaurants is good. Rooms kept clean and overall a good example of Ritz Carlton standard. The Hotel is placed on a rocky and high cliff and as such, with the different levels of the complex, moving from one area, say restaurant, to bedroom, to swimming pool, shops involves many steps so is not very well suited to disabled or people who have difficulty with stairs. However, overall, for a short stay the Ritz Carlton Abama is worth trying.
