The hotel is huge with 4 clean pools, 1 beautiful beach and several restaurants and bars. The cocktails are very good and the breakfast fantastic with a very large choice.
The concierge is very helpful to book excursions and restaurants.
The rooms are big and clean, but I would have preferred for a 5 stars a suite (living room separated from the sleeping room).

Amazing place. Heaps to do and staff are friendly. Highly recommend the massages by the beach ao relaxing and to hear the ocean while getting a nice massage just adds to it. The main downfall that I have noticed is that lots of people put their towels on pool chairs and are unseen for hours leaving a bit of a struggle to find somewhere to sit. Other than that perfect atmosphere and countless things to do around the area. Also the market is a must see, so much culture and local cuisine to try and only 5min taxi ride from the resort.

We were all impressed with our experience at The Sands, it is a lovely complex, very clean and tidy, I often sore staff being very meticulous with their cleaning.
The options in places to eat and drink were good, the food was very fresh and tasty, as well as there being plenty of options.
We thoroughly enjoyed having our pool access rooms (which were very well appointed and the beds were comfortable, the other pools were super too.
The staff were nearly all very friendly but certainly efficient.
You have set the bench mark very high for our next international holiday, loved it there. Thanks.

The hotel was amazing, everything you need for traveling with small children. The staff was super friendly. The waves at the beach was a bit rough, but if you walk a few minutes to the right you will find a small “lagoon” where the children can play. Not a lot to do in this town with young children, the dinner at the hotel was expensive. I hope to travel to this hotel again

We stayed December/ January in the hotel.
The hotel is really big and has a separate water area for kids which is really awesome. There is also an adults only breakfast facility and an adults pool.
The overall impression is very good: everything is clean and being taken care of, waiters.. are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are big and there are a lot of clever ideas (you place the beach towels outside to avoid getting sand into the room etc).
Part of our arrangement was the new year's party which was awesome! A big buffet, shows, and cool fireworks at the beach.
The hotel is directly at the beach, however the loungers are only above the beach in the grass and you need to take some stairs to go down to the beach.
The hotel is slightly below the main road (10mins walk) where restaurants and shops are. You can eat in the hotel at reasonable prices.
The overall impression is 5/5 points, but be aware that it's a big hotel with many guests (so don't expect a cosy little place :-))
