The hotel offers a wide range of facilities and is very family-friendly. However, the room was outdated and not clean enough. The floors and wardrobe showed significant wear and tear. While I expected the room to be basic based on the photos on the website, the outdated condition of the facilities wasn’t apparent. Had I known this in advance, I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel for the price I paid. The cleanliness was disappointing. The floor hadn’t been properly mopped, and walking barefoot didn’t feel clean. There was a stain on the toilet floor throughout our stay. I expected it to be cleaned by housekeeping the next day, but it wasn’t until I requested a full bathroom cleaning. I mainly booked the hotel for the children’s play area for my son, but I regretted it after arriving. The water play facilities were old, and the swimming pool water wasn’t clean. I would have preferred a different five-star hotel with fewer water play features but a better overall environment. In summary, while the service was decent and the hotel has plenty of amenities, the room condition and cleanliness fell far below five-star standards. If quality accommodation is your priority, it’s worth considering other hotels.

Wonderful in every way! The staff were attentive and kind. The facilities were perfect. Our room next to the adults pool was divine. We really enjoyed listening to the music every night, and having a cocktail at the bar. Our surprise upgrade was truly appreciated. Thank you for a magical stay.

I think that the pool and beach areas are really nice and it's excellent that there is an adult only breakfast. Unfortunately there was a repulsive smell in the room, I guess it came from the air-conditioner as it eased when it had been off for the day. Also the bathroom was in need of a deep cleansing - something that can't be fixed on a basic day cleaning or even in between guests. Breakfast could be improved by focusing more on quality over quantity, but it was okay. Tried only a few dishes from the restaurant and wasn't too impressed. Decent snorkeling around the beach and many restaurants nearby. I would give 4 stars but the smell and the stains in the bathroom were really disturbing.

The hotel is huge with 4 clean pools, 1 beautiful beach and several restaurants and bars. The cocktails are very good and the breakfast fantastic with a very large choice. The concierge is very helpful to book excursions and restaurants. The rooms are big and clean, but I would have preferred for a 5 stars a suite (living room separated from the sleeping room).

We were all impressed with our experience at The Sands, it is a lovely complex, very clean and tidy, I often sore staff being very meticulous with their cleaning. The options in places to eat and drink were good, the food was very fresh and tasty, as well as there being plenty of options. We thoroughly enjoyed having our pool access rooms (which were very well appointed and the beds were comfortable, the other pools were super too. The staff were nearly all very friendly but certainly efficient. You have set the bench mark very high for our next international holiday, loved it there. Thanks.
