⭐ Detailed Resort Review We were really looking forward to this trip after seeing the resort advertised and rated as a 5-star property, but unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite match the expectations. Check-in/Wristband Issue: Right from the start, we were given the wrong color wristbands. It seems like a small thing, but it ended up causing confusion and made it clear that communication and organization were going to be a challenge throughout the stay. Beach & Resort Grounds: The beach was never fully cleaned the entire time we were there. There was one single staff member doing his best, but it’s a huge stretch of shoreline and impossible for one person to maintain. The seaweed and debris just kept piling up day after day, which made it hard to enjoy the beach. Dining & Reservations: Their reservation system was completely down, so every night was a gamble trying to get dinner. We waited in long lines just to be told that they couldn’t accommodate everyone. Even the buffet reached capacity, so despite being all-inclusive, sometimes getting a meal wasn’t guaranteed. This became one of the most frustrating parts of the trip. Room Quality: Our room was definitely in need of an update. Several fixtures were rusted or falling apart, and the overall condition didn’t reflect a resort that claims a 5-star rating. We still made the most of it, but it lacked the comfort and polish we expected. Bars & Weather Limitations: The staff at the bars and restaurants were truly the highlight — kind, hard-working, and trying to keep morale up despite the system issues. However, if it rains, the only indoor bar option is the sports bar, which quickly turns into a packed space full of kids and guests trying to escape the weather. There just aren’t enough indoor areas for people to go. ⭐ Overall Rating: 3.5 — maybe a low 4 ⭐ We don’t want to discourage travel, but want future guests to be aware of the disconnect between the advertised 5-star level and the current reality. The staff really does the best they can, but the resort needs more support, better maintenance, and improved systems to offer the experience they’re promising. Would we return? At this point, probably not. But with the right improvements, it has the potential to be a wonderful vacation spot.

WARNING DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. We just got back from staying at the Sens/grand oasis and we are EXTREMELY upset and will never step foot in that place EVER AGAIN. What we thought were mosquito bites ended up being a scabies issue….after landing home, my mother and I became very itchy and started having skin flareups/ red bumps all over…. We went to the doctors and were told this was SCABIES from MITES. The only place we slept on that entire week was at the sens resort. I am disgusted and extremely pissed off. On top of coming home with SCABIES, we also just had a terrible time. Extremely long lines out the doors with over an hour and a half wait for ANY place to eat there. The front lobby staff were not accommodating at all. The beach was not in special, we went to visit another resort for the day and it was a completely different beach and so much more beautiful on the same strip these people were. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience and not in the best way at all. Please avoid this place and please listen to the reviews, I genuinely tried giving it a chance but never again

The Sens was a beautiful hotel. The large pool does not have chairs, but it is right next to the beach, so lots of chairs there. Many restaurants to choose from, presentation was beautiful. Food itself a 4 star. Buffet was not great. Small, not enough choices. Good for breakfast. The highlight of our trip was the service we received from our Concierge Hugo Buenrostro. We ended up being ill and I fractured my foot. Hugo helped us out, was kind and went beyond the call of duty! The staff in general were very kind. If you’re going to the Sens or anywhere in Mexico do not use Sunwing! No service once your in Mexico, ML

The hotel looked lovely in the lobby but we were ambushed by reps selling timeshares and covering the timeshare under the pretense of a free gift for my birthday to get us to the sales presentation we were hounded by the reps the whole time we were there. The hotel was advertised as 5 stars but this was definitely not the case air con not working, tiles missing of the bathrooms, decor was dated and rundown, no towels in the room and no replacements when they were asked for. Queues for every restaurant at least an hour each time we ate. Food was average and disappointing in most of the restaurants. Fully inclusive but with a lot of catches we would not stay at The Sens again. The beach was clean and well maintained but was full of sales people all the time selling their wares. Loads of building work all day and late into the evenings everyday of our stay. Disappointing is how I would describe the hotel and it's services a shame really as Cancun as a destination is beautiful.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The food was excellent with plenty of variety every day, and our room was cleaned daily, which we really appreciated. The staff were always friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The beach nearby was absolutely beautiful, and we also had access to the hotel next door, which was a nice bonus. The only downsides were that the hotel could use some renovation, and there wasn’t much evening entertainment by the pool. Apart from that, everything was great, and we really enjoyed our stay!
