Overall this hotel was great. Very crowded for the amount of guests but I think that’s just cancun for you. I wish I would have known before booking at the sens that it is basically adjoined with the oasis next door. We spent most of our time on the oasis side by the pool and those restaurants. The a la cart restaurants were amazing. Buffet was ok, always found something to eat. Beach has just over a 1km stretch that is walkable. We had a 50 minute relaxation massage that was good, spa was very nice with great staff. The room keys are on the bracelet they give you upon check in which I found so convenient!

Overall value for the price point. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel after reading some of the reviews. Buffets do have line-ups but there are alternatives. Some of the restaurants sould open more to have more access. Example some are only open for breakfast or lunch. Use the hotel app to sign up for the various restaurants for Dinner. The beach is very well maintained cleaned of seaweed everyday. Our beach waiter Hervin is a great ambassador for this hotel. Very attentive and He is very engaged. Our concierge Kevin was always there to help out whenever we did not receive a response on the app for a restaurant reservation, he was a big help to us. Our rooms were well cleaned everyday. The hotel is noisy at night from the entertainment at night but not horrible. My one unpleasant experience was with the luggage person Carlos when we arrived. I guess he didn't like his tip, from the expression on his face and the slamming of our door when he left. He did not leave a good impression. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. We were there for 2 weeks the beginning of February.

This was our first time visiting The Sens Cancun, and despite all the negative reviews we had seen beforehand, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the resort was. We had the black bracelets, which gave us access to additional restaurants—definitely worth it. Our family of four (husband, wife, and two kids ages 9 and 6) booked this trip last‑minute through CheapCaribbean.com with direct flights and Amstar shared transportation. Both were easy to use and highly recommended. The resort was very kid‑friendly. There were great children’s pools, beach playgrounds, a pirate ship ride, free arcade, and unlimited ice cream at the coffee shop. This was not a party resort at all, which we really appreciated as a family. Dinner reservations were very easy to make through the resort app, and all of the sit‑down restaurants had fantastic menus. The buffets were decent—nothing amazing, but good enough. They were limited and mostly the same items each day for breakfast and lunch. Lines did form at times, but if you go early (before 9:30 AM) you’ll be fine. If you want a beach chair or umbrella, I recommend waking up early to claim a spot—those go quickly. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would definitely return to this resort again.

Arrived today and staying in the Sian Ka'an Master Suite. We don't even have a coffee maker. We're told they're short and call tomorrow and see if they have one. We don't have outdoor furniture for the ocean view we paid for. I asked where our whirlpool is and the girl at the desk looked at her papers and said that's strange, it should. Like it somehow disappeared. We were told they'll send someone tomorrow to try to unlock the safe which is how we found it. Don't travel with Air Canada. We chose a resort close to the airport and it took us two hours to get to a resort 24km from the airport. I try to take travelling in stride, but we paid an upgrade for a big disappointment

I’ll be honest: after reading the one-star reviews, I nearly ran a mile. Massive hesitation. But curiosity won, and I booked it anyway. The good: Credit where it’s due — the staff are absolutely brilliant. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely on the ball. The rooms? Clean, well kept, and loaded with amenities. Food-wise, there’s plenty of choice, and then there’s Careyes — ranked #3 in Cancún. If you’re even remotely serious about food, you’d be mad not to try it. The beach is clean, well secured, and towel service runs all day — no nonsense, no stress. That part is done properly. The bad: Noise. If your room faces the main road or you hit strong winds, forget peace and quiet. Missing window caulking means the wind whistles through like it owns the place — totally avoidable and frankly unacceptable at this level. Face the pool, though, and on a calm day, it’s blissfully quiet. One more thing: the hotel shares its beach and restaurants with a sister property. Sounds fine on paper, but in reality it gets crowded — especially on the beach — and that relaxed holiday vibe takes a hit.
