We've just returned from our first trip to Barbados and stayed at The SoCo, it was brilliant! The staff are amazing and particular mention must go to Michelle (for being a lovely host and for the fabulous rum tasting 😀) Shane on the bar for keeping us entertained with his music and singing, Zach on the bar, for his lovely smile and cheeky comments, Ayeesh and Shakeela in the Restaurant, always smiling and friendly. We loved that it only had 24 rooms which made getting to know other guests really easy. we met some great characters. The room was a good size, bed really comfortable, lots of storage and great views over the ocean. It would have been handy to have a mirror near a plugsocket in the bedroom area though. The food was great, cooked to order, fresh and hot. Menu changed every 2 or 3 days. Breakfast menu could do with a change of dishes every few days too as became a bit samey. Great location, boardwalk along the sea front up to Rockley Bay. There are a few bars and restaurants along there if you fancied a change of scenery. There's a small beach with sunbeds but you can carry on walking for up the beach and find some lovely spots to put your beach towel. More sunbeds needed around the pool maybe removing some of the casual seating as this wasn't used often. The hotel does need a little TLC in some areas, restaurant needs brightening up, corridors need painting, sunbeds need replacing and maybe a coffee machine in the bar area would be good addition. These are only observations and I hope the owners take note as you've got an absolute gem and we would definitely stay again and totally recommend it to others.

Staff hear are amazing! Love Zach and Samantha. The staff members here were very accompanying. The beach on site is sectioned off for the guests which is cute but better going off site. In addition the food was good along with options you can change out. Wish the pool was open later than what it was supposed to he in addition to the parking being very small.

Was not happy about the hotel at all wasn’t one of my usual stays . Says all inclusive but very limited when it comes to food , no room service . No elevator going up with luggage . My door had a very hard time opening every night was a struggle. Housekeeping service never came to clean up the room and it was very hard to get towels here literally had to argue for a wash cloth . Housekeeping was rude said no she’s not doing the room . Roaches crawl across our plate at dinner . The bartender and restaurant staff was the only thing nice about this property . Definitely would not come back

Extremely nice boutique resort with all the charm larger resorts lack. During our stay we enjoyed daily culinary treats at the on site restaurant and were amazed with the selections and presentation that made it impossible to chose what we liked the most. Drink selections at the bar were good, but we would also like to see more recognizable brands on our return visit next year. Rooms were spotless with attention to detail on display every day with our room attendants. The view, could not have been better and the staff went above and beyond at any request we presented. Thank you again for such a wonderful vacation and we look forward to visiting next year.

A Tale of Two Stays: Exceptional Service Marred by Security Incident My recent stay at The SoCo Hotel was a mix of absolute delight and profound disappointment. On one hand, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel appreciated and welcome. Shein the bartender, Tequisha the server, and Reina server truly shined, providing exceptional service that made our visit memorable. We tipped almost $300 to show our gratitude for their outstanding efforts, and it was a lovely touch that even the General Manager introduced herself. The hotel itself is amazing, and the food is great, creating a truly pleasant atmosphere. However, our experience was significantly soured by an incident involving a security guard. What a shame that a security guy wearing orange called our car rental company to report our car as damaged, especially when this all happened on their extremely small parking lot. This action was incredibly disappointing and frustrating, effectively ruining an otherwise fantastic stay. While the dedication of the service staff is commendable and the hotel has much to offer, management needs to address this security issue immediately. It's disheartening to have such a positive experience overshadowed by the actions of one individual. Please, SoCo Hotel, stop this from happening to other guests. You have an incredible establishment, but the gentleman in orange truly ruined a significant part of our visit. This information was confirmed with the car rental lady at the airport, she felt bad but she mentioned that someone for the hotel had called her supervisor. When we left the hotel we asked for a black highlighter to mask the scratch. And the gentleman in orange asked us what had happened. Immediately he took a picture of our plate and call the rental car company. Total disappointment.
