I am extremely disappointed with my stay at Tusan Beach Resort in Kuşadası. From the very first moment we entered the room, the bed sheets were dirty. The hotel claims to have a gym, but there is none. The tap water is salty, and in the shower the temperature constantly shifts from freezing cold to burning hot — it’s impossible to regulate. The hygiene in the restaurant is awful. Everything feels dirty, the smell of food is unpleasant, and it even spreads up to the rooms on the fourth floor. The food itself is tasteless and far from what you would expect at a so-called “5-star” resort. The drinks at the bar are just as bad — not a single recognizable international brand (no proper whiskey, gin, etc.), only cheap, unknown labels that taste terrible. The Wi-Fi barely works, painfully slow and almost impossible to use. The beach is filthy, very small, and absolutely not maintained. Although the hotel advertises itself as all-inclusive, I was asked to pay €5 just to use the sauna or hammam for half an hour. The so-called “game room” is a complete disaster — a broken ping pong table with damaged paddles, a billiard table in the same miserable condition, garbage everywhere, and zero maintenance. This hotel does not meet a single standard of a 5-star resort — absolutely none. Everything from cleanliness to facilities to food and drinks is far below acceptable. It is a complete waste of money and a huge disappointment. Avoid at all costs.

The resort is beautiful, with lovely surroundings and great facilities. The food and drinks were consistently good, and we really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. The reception team was very friendly and welcoming, which made check in and check out smooth. However, we did notice that the bar team could be a bit moody at times and as foreigners, there were moments when we felt a bit ignored or overlooked, which took away slightly from the experience. Still, a nice place to relax and unwind.

We stayed for 3 nights/4 days, (2 adults) it was one of the best hotels we went to. The staff are very friendly and always smiling. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We booked the room with a view of the beach, but the room is a bit old. Food was enjoyable, the only problem we had was the sandy part of the beach was always full, we had to always stay by the rock side. Which when you walk there it’s painful for feet. Great location, but the experience was very disappointing. We arrived at 8 a.m., while check-in was only available at 2:30 p.m. Although we were allowed to have breakfast and use the pool or sea, the kitchen was dirty, the plates and cutlery were unclean, and the food was nearly inedible. The seaside shore was far too small for the number of guests, and every sunbed around the pool and by the sea had been “reserved” with towels, making it impossible to relax by the water. If you decide to order something simple, like a hamburger, you have to endure a long queue and watch fly-covered ingredients being gathered onto dirty plates. The only option left was to sit in the café, constantly waving away countless flies. Thankfully, after contacting our tour operator, we were moved to another hotel — which was much better in every way. Overall, the conditions here fell far short of expectations.

After reading many negative reviews, I was nervous about our trip and even contacted Jet2 to change hotels. I want to give a fair and honest review. The resort isn’t amazing, but it’s not as bad as some make it out. Just don’t expect a 5-star experience—it may have been once, but not anymore. Bedrooms: We booked a deluxe double. It was adequate with a double bed, two singles, and a travel cot (removed the next day). You get a 2L bottle of water daily and one set of soft drinks in the mini bar. Beds were very firm but manageable. Bathroom fixtures looked stained, likely due to water residue, even after cleaning. Rooms were cleaned daily. Pool & Sunbeds: There are four pools, but we used the main and kids’ pools. Biggest issue: not enough sunbeds. You need to reserve early (7am) or miss out. Many loungers were damaged, and the poolside was slippery with broken grates. Staff tried to clean constantly, but mud from grassy areas made it difficult. The lifeguard was friendly and great with kids. The splash pool was okay but lacked supervision, and older kids often dominated the area. Food & Dining: Buffet-style meals were fine, with a variety of hot dishes, grilled meats, salads, and desserts. Outdoor seating had great sea views but filled up quickly. Queueing etiquette was poor among some guests, and food waste was frustrating—people piled plates and left most untouched. The Italian à la carte restaurant had a lovely setting and tasty food, though it was poorly lit. The snack bar served good burgers, sandwiches, and pizza (note: separate queues). Bars & Drinks: The main bar served Tuborg beer, soft drinks, and cocktails. Staffing varied, but wait times were reasonable. Most cocktails were nice—Cuba Libre was my favorite. Smaller bars also offered drinks and hot beverages. Staff: Generally pleasant. Some looked disengaged, but most were friendly. Bar staff interacted well with kids. The entertainment team was excellent—special thanks to Hakan, who remembered all our names and regularly checked in. Entertainment: Daytime activities included darts, boules, aerobics, and pool games. Evening entertainment started late (kids disco at 9pm, main show at 10:15pm) but was enjoyable. Highlights included the circus and fire show. Bingo cost €5, which felt odd for an all-inclusive. The kids’ club was basic but had coloring and face painting. T-shirt painting cost €15. Note: cash only, no card payments or ATM on site. Other Comments: Staff worked hard to keep the resort clean, but some guests left plates and cups around the pool. This wasn’t the staff’s fault—they were constantly tidying up. Final Verdict: Did we enjoy it? Yes. Would we return? No.
