We visit Universal quiet often and have stayed at all of the hotels on property. Aventura is a nice lower cost option. We've found this location to be more adult oriented compared to Cabana Bay or Dockside/Endless. This past trip was a birthday trip for myself. Unpon arrival I got a pin, signed birthday card and two free drink vouchers for the bar. This was a really nice touch IMO, totally unexpected. Staff has always been excellent. Rooms a a good size and comfortable for your basic needs. Another benefit of this location is the must try roof top bar!

I've stayed at this hotel twice, and had a great experience both times. The only issue was that the bathroom door didn't lock, and the tablet did not control the lights as advertised. Minor inconveniences only. The room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Having a Starbucks in the lobby was great for morning coffee. The location is perfect, and transportation to the parks is simple and quick. The bar at the top has great views and drinks, but the food choices are limited and all Korean inspired. Food is well cooked and tastes great, just not many options.

Aventura checked all the boxes for us. Modern rooms with iPad control, comfortable beds, and all the basics needed for a good stay. Would have liked a bit more storage in the bathroom, but a small gripe. The staff was quick to respond when we needed something, and the bar staff was phenomenal. Pool is nice, but not to the level of Cabana/Sapphire. Pool bar was closed for most of our stay. The proximity to Sapphire is great and you can take the water taxis to the park which was an added bonus. Price was reasonable but it's been creeping up and pricing us out.

We have NOTHING but rave reviews about this hotel. From the front desk staff to the servers, every single staff member delivered exceptional customer service. 17/10 in our books. They were able to accommodate my gluten sensitivity and make off-property recommendations. Everything was so clean. And the shuttles were on-time or early every time. We loved being able to stay in a hotel that’s more accommodating towards adults. As a long-time hospitality industry professional, it was a master class in service and professionalism. We’ll be booking this hotel for all our future stays.

We stayed for three nights, and unfortunately, the experience was both disappointing and, at one point, downright dramatic. To start, the musty smell throughout the building, our room facing a messy outdoor service platform (where the “Aventura” sign is installed), and the strange flushing noise from the toilet every 15 seconds were already unpleasant. But none of these compared to what happened on our last morning. While we were still asleep, workers suddenly started cleaning the exterior glass—without any prior notice. Ropes were hitting our window repeatedly. When I reported this to the front desk, the staff showed no sense of urgency or accountability. Their response was simply, “We’re sorry, is there anything else we can help with?” I was stunned and asked, “Aren’t you planning to solve the problem?” The staff replied, “So what do you want to do now? Are you looking for compensation?”—which felt extremely dismissive and unprofessional. Eventually, they offered a late checkout until 3 PM. But the real shock came minutes later—when a worker suddenly appeared right outside our window. Yes, a person was standing directly outside, as shown in the photo I took (with the face intentionally blurred). It was an alarming and unacceptable breach of privacy. Overall, while the hotel’s location is convenient and Universal Parks are always great fun, this property falls short of the Universal brand in terms of maintenance, professionalism, and guest care. We would love to know if anyone can recommend better nearby hotels for our next trip.
