Overall resort is nice but its not the same level of Anantara in Maldives. We chose it because it’s near the airport. The beach is clean The food in the bar and breakfast are delicious. The staff are friendly. They need to be more professional in cleaning What I don’t like they came to our room in the check out 2 times to see the fridge to make sure that we don’t drink anything ! I stayed is many 5 stars hotel and resorts. They just ask the guest if they drink something. It makes me feel like they do not trust the guests.

The resort is great, the location is excellent, and the beach is one of the best beaches I have seen, but I do not recommend swimming there due to the strength of the waves in July when I visited the resort. Unfortunately, the cleanliness does not reach the level of a 5-star resort, nor does the service. Most of the workers were slow to respond to requests and did not have high professionalism, and many of them were unfortunately not cheerful or smiling. I was not happy dealing with Mr. Karim at the reception because of his lack of cheerfulness and his lack of interest in satisfying the guests, as happened with the group I was accompanying. In return, I thank Mr. Nicholas for his good treatment and his keenness to make my stay better and more comfortable. I do not think about returning to the resort unless the service improves and the level of attention to cleanliness increases.

As a couple, we stayed at Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort on our first visit to the Island in September, as we wanted to be close to the airport, have a base for exploring the island in a hire car as well as stay in a luxury hotel with all the amenities for our 30th wedding anniversary. We received a warm welcome on arrival and really appreciated that we could check into our room as early as 10.30am, rather than the standard checkin time in the afternoon, as the room was ready and we were exhausted after the long flights from the UK. The reception team, including Sasha who gave us an introductory tour, have been very helpful throughout our stay. The housekeeping team, led by Sunny, have ensured all our accomodation needs were met, with a courteous attitude. We recommend using the hotel app to learn more about what the hotel has to offer and their activities, that can be booked through it. We enjoyed our meals at the hotel, always able to find a tasty and varied selection at breakfast time as we opted for Breakfast only as part of our stay, since we wanted to explore island during the day and most evenings. When we had dinner at the hotel we again found a large variety of delicious meals to cater for different tastes as well as introducing us to Mauritian dishes. The staff at the restaurant, such as Rekha, and around the resort have always been friendly and approachable. We have also made the most of the free activities and exercise classes available throughout the day, every day, and well equipped gym. The morning classes we took part in were led by experienced and friendly teachers, such as the Tai Chi/ Reiki Master who was very knowledgeable and inspiring and helped us gain insight into the practice. We also took part in the Boat and Snorkelling trip organised by the Activities Team, which we really enjoyed and were able to come face to face with a variety of marine life near the hotel. We also benefitted from several treatments and facilities offered by the Hotel Spa and it's courteous and pleasant team, which helped us to unwind and relax even more. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and made the most of exploring the many varied sights on the island by car and near the island by boat, and would recommend staying in the hotel to our family and friends.

The location of the hotel is around half an hour to 1 hour far from everything. So planning an activities outside the hotel, you need to keep in mind the traveling time as well. Rooms are good. Our room has direct access to the beach but you still need to walk a bit to reach the beach. Service, bad service, they don’t clean the room properly, they just make the bed and change towels. We stayed for 7 nights, from day one, electricity kept going off in the middle of the night. Air conditioner kept switching off every single day. We have complaint and nothing was done, they refused to change rooms, they wanted to give us complimentary dinner but we want to have a good night sleep not food and we were big family (7 families traveling together). The hotel is nice. Kids activities are good. Food is good (specially breakfast) and the hotel is near the hotel (10 mins) but the electricity thing ruined our stay.
