Myself and my family liked our stay at the resort very much. We can say we had a relatively different experience on the basis of the horizontal living concept of the holiday destination which is quite scarce around the island. Our portrayal of the place, as we have lived and felt about it, is the plentifulness of space whether it's the room, the swimming pool, the bar, the restaurant or the beach. Lots of activities and facilities namely at the boathouse, ease of movement within the village by easily getting a ride on buggies, courteous personnel and very good food and drinks!

SO Mauritius hotel exceeded all my expectations! The staff's warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable. Always greeted with smiles, they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Special thanks to Mr. Raj for his constant help and care. From immaculate rooms to exquisite dining, every detail was impeccable. I highly recommend SO Mauritius for a luxurious, welcoming retreat.

Nice & quiet if you want to relax ! Large compound, you can either walk or use the buggy service (Thanks Avinash & one of his night colleague for the lifts & exchanges). Gym & pétanque playground OK ! Unfortunately very windy during our stay, no use of swimming pool (not a heated one plus it’s the only pool available). Security lady at the gate very welcoming, Shivani & Raj assured a warm welcome at reception area. Not impressed at all by the room, need some refreshing touches here & there coz getting a bit old. For a 5*, was expecting quality materials & surgical cleanliness ! Outside tub dirty. Comfortable bedding & quilt/pillow though. Mauritian night for the dinner buffet ! So so nice & mouth watering dishes ! Everything was perfect, Alain & the lady at farata/dalpuri station were helpful & welcoming, had a nice chat with them. Large variety of everything even though it’s a small buffet, cater for both veg & non veg clients ! A lot of greenery in the hotel compound, well maintained. That’s a feel good point. A walk on the beach at sunset definitely tops the stay ! Enjoyable hotel but doesn’t live up a title of 5*, could have been a 4*.

The SO Sofitel Hotel in Mauritius is a paradise come true! Away from the crowded tourist beaches, the dreamlike complex is surrounded by greenery and near by the sea! The open-plan design of the complex invites you to relax on the hotel's own beach. We had a suite with an outdoor shower and bathtub and a private terrace with sea view - highly recommended. As a hotel guest, you can hire kayaks, pedalos and snorkelling equipment from the boathouse right on the beach. The latter is an absolute must, as the coral reefs close to the beach are well worth seeing. But what definitely makes the stay so special is the hotel team. The service concept that prevails here is unrivalled. The entire staff is more than eager to fulfil your every wish and is on hand with help and advice for excursion tips! Thank you so much for making our stay in Mauritius unforgettable! Definitely 100% recommendation of this hotel!

We spent a lovely week at this paradise. Equipped with bungalows and villas with seaview one have the feeling of staying in the jungle while surrounded by luxury and great service. A la carte food in the restaurant offers Michelin - like experience. Amazing beach views where one can always hear the roar of the waves bumping into the reef deep in the ocean. Overall it exceeded our expectations.
