I've just returned after a week at this resort. Hotel is very modern and pretty, it has beautiful swim ups and all resort is very clean and welcoming. This is ment yo be a 5 star rated family hotel, the food selection was poor, the quality of products was poor, the drinks were poor quality very cheap all round. Non alcoholic cocktails / beer were chargeable. We had to buy drinks from shop. Only restaurant worth eating in was green and grill. Beach had building work going on, which should have been dealt with before opening for the season, put us off sitting there. The building work of the new hotel next door is nowhere near finished and hotel block next to it, can be noisy in rooms in the morning from the workmen and machinery. I made few complaints and spoke with quite few families that said they wouldn't return. The entertainment room is small, kids are literally squeezed in front of stage dancing in front of parents chairs. Very remote hotel, All in all for whats important for my hard earned money to have a nice holiday, I was dissapointed and definitely not a 5star hotel.

From the perspective of a family of four: Hotel: beautiful and well maintained grounds, loads of clean pools with lifeguards for each. The rooms are comfortable - huge beds, fast, reliable WiFi so no need for roaming. Staff friendly & helpful. Our room was cleaned daily and the cleaners were excellent. Food: some of the other reviews complain about this and I have no idea why. It was fresh, loads of options and absolutely delicious. The earlier you get there the better - the breakfast in particular gets crowded close to when it’s closing. The staff were great too - Lemonia was particularly standout for excellent service. The only restaurant that wasn’t excellent was Green & Grill - it was extremely crowded and not enough staff so tricky to get a table and then it wasn’t cleaned & drinks weren’t served for a long time. The food was great here though. Three improvements I’d make: 1. Have a queue for Green & Grill instead of people just getting whatever table they can. 2. A lot of the high chair restraint clips were broken in all of the restaurants - this seems like a basic thing but was quite annoying for us. 3. Self service drinks - having to call a server over for drinks is inconvenient when it’s busy especially when the food is self service - why not have at least soft drinks available to self serve? Beach: nice that it’s connected to the resort. Lots of sunbeds and wooden slats across the sand making it easy to walk across. The sea is clear and nice. We were there on the opening day of the season and one area of the beach felt a bit “under construction”, hopefully it’ll be finished by summer. Excursions: we left the resort twice - once to Afytos which is a beautiful beach town and to Thessaloniki which has great culture. Both were really nice. Overall we thought it was excellent resort and had a fantastic week. Highly recommended.

This is a great family resort in my opinion. Loads of activities for the kids to do that will keep them entertained and allow the adults to rest. If they don't want to do the activities then they can choose to go swimming in the pools or beach (located on site behind the hotel). Water park feature is currently being built so once that is up it be another great feature to have! Night time is the kids disco from 7pm till 10pm. All inclusive - wide variety of food each day. Breakfast is your normal continental buffet. Lunch has two locations (one more Italian specific and one more local food). Dinner has theme nights. Nothing special with the food, it is edible and they try to tailor it for everyone. You can be boring and eat chips and beans or try a bit of everything on offer and decide what is good for seconds. As long as you are willing to try and not get homesick then you will be fine. Staff was friendly and helpful! They loved our two lil ones. Only con: swimming pools (inside and outside) were freezing. For toddlers it was too cold and this need changing. Understand the sun was out but not strong enough to heat the pools. Just need to increase the temperature (especially inside as there is no sun). Inside was as cold as outside which is a shame. All drinks package was great - wide choices of cocktails and mixers to choose from (not just beer and wine). Location to hotel from airport (thessonaliki) is 45mins.

Great hotel, very true to 5 star experience Room cleaning service was very good and respectful Breakfast very British and American focused. Can get boring if staying longer than a week Lunch is very good and varied across the 3 different restaurants Dinner is very nice and varied across restaurants Taverna has quite small portions for dinner Main restaurant is buffet style Greek and Grill is definitely the nicest selection of food but be aware of it's popularity as you need to book reservation in advance Swimming pools are fresh and quite cold, very spacious and nice music in area Depth is 1.3m or 1.4m across all pools Spa is good and fairly priced, staff are well mannered and almost everyone speaks good English Staff across whole resort is excellent, very welcoming and helpful Beds in rooms are comfy and firm mattress Night life at the hotel is fairly good, a chill vibe with not too loud music and many seating options The bars across the resort are quick serving and friendly Cleanliness of the whole resort is 10/10 The all inclusive package is amazing, such a nice experience and stress free feeling of going anywhere and getting food or drinks without paying extra My experience to Blue Lagoon was supported by booking through LoveHoliday, which I must add to this review as they allowed all flights, transfers, accommodation to be smooth and informative as possible. Clean, modern hotel with a tropical look. Very friendly staff. Doesn't feel crowded and all pools, bars and restaurants are close to each other. The beach is also nice with good service but you won't see a lot when snorkling. Use your feet to twist the sand in the water and fish will come look for food. The food is good but I was expecting more seafood in a place like this. Sometimes there was fish but mostly fried or overcooked. Nevertheless, you'll eat well here and never be hungry or disappointed. We had a small family room (4 p) for just the two of us and that was just enough. With 4 it would be too crowded.
