True service is revealed when things turn out to be bad. Long story short, the hotel let me wait at the lobby for three hrs, which was a total waste of my three-day-long vacation. I admit that I mistakenly made booking date mistake. I accidentally booked the hotel for two nights starting the next day of my arrival. When I kindly asked the staff if they could do something. The guy said I had to talk to the supplier directly. Until then there was nothing they could do. I asked a few times if I could talk to the manager about the issue and the answer was always just no without even trying. So I emailed back and forth with the supplier numerous times while sitting at the lobby feeling tired after flight. At 4p.m. At last, the hotel talked to the supplier and refused to adjust the dates but decided to give refund. So I asked if it is due to the room availability that they could not help me. No they had rooms available. I just had to pay additional fees. I decided to cancel my booking and booked another hotel, which welcomed me from the moment I took off the cab. Alright. It was my mistake and you just followed the policy. But was it really best you could do? Is it so hard or so impossible to move the dates to a day earlier? How about my wasted four hrs sitting at the lobby waiting and waiting believing there was something they would do. It ruined my image about Japan and Osaka not to mention the brand IHG itself.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! Location - walking distance to the train station as well as lots of store to shop at. Room - very spacious and has many amenities. Highly recommend staying in a room that has lounge access. Club lounge - lots of seating, not busy at all (I stayed during peak tourist season). I was able to enjoy afternoon tea, cocktail hour and breakfast and thoroughly enjoy the food and beverages. I will say I ordered breakfast and it took a long time to come but it must have been the breakfast rush. Service - highlight of my stay! The service here was second to none! From check-in to check-out, every staff member I came across was so helpful!

Amazing hotel, in a very cool area of Osaka inside the mall. The room itself was immaculate, and the facilities of the hotel were clean and calming. The breakfast buffet was decent as well, and the bar was really excellent for a night cap. The hotel also had an onsen, which was nice but felt more like a gym sauna than a Japanese onsen. I'd definitely stay here again if I were in the area another time!

Our first visit to Japan. The InterContinental was fabulous. Terrific position and our concierge helped us navigate the (once you understand it) amazing Japanese railway system. When we go back to Japan we will use the InterContinental Osaka as a wonderful base to visit other parts of this beautiful country. Would highly recommend.

AMAZING!!! My husband and i stayed here for 9 days and honestly it was one of the best hotel experiences we had in a while. Every single one of the staff was beyond amazing and helpful. I cannot express our gratitude enough. Some of the floorboards in our room were slightly on the looser side. But I'm sure I wouldn't have noticed it if my husband hadn't pointed it out.
