First of all this hotel is in a prime location, and most of the staff is very nice. With that being said, get ready to pay more at check in. While checking in you get hit with not one but two more fees, the “resort fee” and security deposit. Me and my wife stayed 5 nights and this turned into an additional $720 due at check in. By the way the lobby has a very odd smell to it that is unpleasant. After the check-in fiasco we make our way to the very small elevators that only hold four people or two people with luggage. Get ready to wait a while too! Rooms are very small and look like landlord specials, the “I know someone who can do it cheaper” remodel is awful. Showers are extremely small with no shelving, we had to place our shampoo and things on the floor of the shower. The beds are very noisy and uncomfortable. Get ready to hear every door slam and conversations in the hallway. I don’t think the walls could get any thinner. The lighting in the bathroom and room are very poor for woman who need to do their makeup. In the pictures you will see “Brand New OYO Time Square” don’t let that fool you, it’s a half a$$ remodel that was never finished. Let’s make our way back to the resort fee, for what? The on-site restaurant that doesn’t exist or the on-site fitness center that doesn’t exist either?? This resort fee is a scam! Beware of this hotel!

The rooms are tiny - they fit a bed and nothing more. I requested a mini fridge from the staff, who were excellent about bringing it immediately and the man who set it up was so incredibly sweet, I was quite charmed! But that ate up even more space, so when I rolled out of bed in the morning, the first day or 2, I inevitably banged my shins trying to get around. The shower is incredibly small as well, fitting the theme of the room. I couldn't imagine there being 2 people comfortably in this room. The window looked on to absolutely nothing. It didn't even seem to get outside light. But my biggest complaint is actually the elevators. There are 2, but one is basically right next to a construction zone, so the wait is in a very dirty hallway. They are incredibly slow and fit probably a max of 4 people with no bags. I wish there had been better access to stairs on the way up - I would have chosen them instead of waiting in the line of people trying to get back to their rooms.

As a travel business owner in Australia I had VIP clients that needed to change their dates of stay after booking, $3000 for 7 nights was paid and they needed to move the stay by 3 weeks and were happy to pay any additional fees involved to change. Booked through an agency in Australia, hotel was contacted 14 times to no avail and absolutely no help or assistance. Clients lost the entire $3000 and were deemed as a no show because the hotel could not communicate to acknowledge a date change. They just took the $3000. As a travel business professional I advise to stay away. Lack of communication and assistance. I see they respond to reviews but not professional emails so let’s see how they try to deflect this review. I repeat they were happy to pay whatever necessary to change the booking rather than loose the $3000 and emails were sent to management, reservations and sales but absolutely no help or assistance just repetitive emails up to 3 days after the original email was sent

Pros: Great location and clean property! Staff are nice and friendly! Cons: The rooms are not impressive at all and more importantly it’s located in a noisy area! If you are looking to have a good night sleep after a long day, you should not come here! There are 2 small elevators in the building and 3 people barely fit into them!! Thin walls! You can hear elevator noise, or any one who talks in the next room or if someone walks in the corridor! And the street noise is inside your room!! We were not being able to sleep at all! Uncomfortable bed!! No restaurants, no coffeeshop nothing inside the facility!! Pictures do not show the real property!!

No drinks or food of any kind in the hotel, but I liked my room, it was cleaned daily, and for a hotel in Times Square I thought it was remarkably quiet. Very convenient for many famous areas and landmarks, too. Literally, walk out of the entrance and you're in the middle of Times Square.
