How far from resort centre?
It is located in a bustling area along the Chao Phraya River, in the heart of Bangkok's vibrant downtown area. This neighbourhood is known for its unique blend of old and new, with plenty of historic sites and modern attractions located nearby. Guests at The Standard Bangkok can easily explore the neighbourhood's many restaurants, shops and other local businesses, as well as enjoy easy access to popular destinations such as the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
Distance from aiport
The Standard Bangkok is about 27 kilometres away from the Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Depending on traffic, the journey from the airport to the hotel can take anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour. Alternatively, guests may opt to take public transportation or a taxi, which is readily available in and around the airport.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Bangkok. The decor was very unique, with bright colours and in a style that would not be amiss in a Wes Anderson film.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, with exciting colours and thoughtful design. We also had an unhindered view of the city from our room.
The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fantastic, with a wide range of options which could be ordered at will.
The gym was by far the best hotel gym I have been to, with everything you would need from treadmills and machines to squat racks and an Olympic lifting platform. It was just a pity we didn’t have time to join the gym classes that were offered at a special rate to guests.
The pool area was smaller but comfortably designed, and it felt like an urban oasis - perfect for a midday break.

We started our Thailand trip with 3 nights at the Standard. It is so gloriously beautifully decorated, with the coolest interiors and a very lovely rooftop bar. We also ate at Mott32 and it was spectacular- be sure to try it out.
Our room had an amazing view, very comfy bed and luxurious shower. The team had also put a little birthday surprise in room for me too.
The Standard also give vouchers for the sky bar, their restaurants etc which is a nice touch. Their cocktails are excellent and breakfast was a wonderful menu.
The gym is state of the art. It is a full gym which means no workout compromises. We also had a day at the pool. The service was good and the little booths were nice and offered privacy.
The location is in the business district so you’ll likely need taxis to where you want to go, and for us, the hotel organised these for us when we could get one on Grab.
We will now for sure stay at the Standard’s other locations around the world too. 10/10 would recommend.

Wow - stayed for 5 nights, knowing the Standard brand from London/NYC. Amazing room, incredible service. Breakfast was great, and as "long-stay" guests we even got a special pre-order menu after day 2. Bar crawl is recommended, as is the Three Of A Kind restaurant experience - great way to really feel the hotel and experience the fine dining side of Bangkok. And don't forget your free tickets to the rooftop Sky Bar (and buy one get one free drinks) once per night. All in all a fantastic stay, a home away from home - won't hesitate to stay again. For balance - there was sometimes a 5-10 minute wait for Grabs due to traffic around the hotel and the one-way systems, but thoroughly worth it!

I recently stayed at The Standard Hotel Bangkok for a week and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff's service was outstanding. They treated us with respect, politeness, and were incredibly thoughtful. A special shout out to Fame, the receptionist, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
We were delighted to receive numerous coupons to visit the restaurants, rooftop, and skywalk, allowing us to enjoy these amenities multiple times. The hotel's decor, from the main entrance to our room, was colorful, tasteful, and chic. Everything looked brand new and well-polished.
I was so impressed by the scent in the hotel that I even inquired about purchasing it. It truly felt like walking into a world-class spa. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with unique warm wall corners and stylish round light fixtures. The view from our room was stunning, and the curtain and remote control shades added a touch of luxury.
The breakfast menu was a delightful surprise as it changed weekly, offering a combination of Western egg dishes, cold cuts, popular pastries, and assorted Thai desserts. It was a culinary experience worth savoring.
Amidst the hot weather in Bangkok, The Standard Bangkok felt like an oasis. I highly recommend staying here at Bangkok’s highest tower with golden location when you visit Bangkok. You won't be disappointed!
