We recently stayed at the Wyndham on International Drive and it wasn’t as I expected from when I stayed there 4 years ago. Our room smelled like mildew, we had sugar ants on our night stands and on our bathroom counter. And we encountered many sounds throughout the night with guest constantly slamming doors without no remorse. We also encountered a crack on the tiles wall of the bathroom that didn’t even look like they attempted to seal it at all. Honestly, I was very distraught about the whole room experience. The room was extremely outdated: sadly. When we went to the pool, the towel racks had no towels available for the guest. Mind you, it was only 3pm and I don’t recall seeing a staff member restock on towels for the duration of our time at the pool. Not the experience that I envisioned, but at least, we were able to have a great encounter with the front desk staff members. Kevin and Farah were super sweet and professional for our entire stay. Not sure if I would stay there in the near future, but it was alright at the end.

Pros - good location, kind of cute property. I didn’t interact much with the staff but they seemed nice enough
Cons: what on earth is the deal with cleaning the rooms? We’ve been here 5 days and no one has cleaned the room. Once they came in and changed the towels and once they just took them and left us with none. Abysmal!
The food and drinks are a total rip off
Strange smell of gas by the pool
Rooms are hot and hard to get cool
Most of the equipment in the gym is broken
Everything could use a paint job
I wouldn’t stay here again

Unfortunately, I had to give at least 1 star to leave a review. This has been THE worst experience!
Starting with them giving us a dirty room initially. I opened the door and the beds were unmade, there was a trail of tissue on the floor, and half eaten McDonald’s on the counter! No way I was letting my children step foot in that room. We waited almost 30 minutes for another room. The lock/door was broken in that room. You practically had to slam it to make sure it closed.
Of course nothing was offered for any inconvenience barely an apology. We paid way too much money for this lackluster of a facility. Highly disappointed. Ants were in the rooms and calling the front desk for towels and tissue was horrible because they never answered. I walked from building 7 to the front desk to ask for towels, toilet tissue, and for our trash to be emptied. I saw an attendant in the hallway and asked for these items she said I had to call the desk. Fine! 5 days/ 4 nights and our room was never cleaned. The room has a mildew smell which is bad for a person with bad allergies and asthma like my daughter and I.
It is however, in a very convenient location. We were able to walk many places.

Hotel is dated - think old school Florida, but our room was very spacious and clean. Great pools with multiple relaxation areas. Doors stick and bathroom was tiny (but clean). Would have been nice to have a microwave in room. The staff here have been FANTASTIC!!!! We are here for the week for a work event and everyone has been so nice and helpful.

This hotel has THE Best pool ever. It is huge with both a large shallow end and a big deep end. Much better than most hotels. And the pool chairs are very nice. There is a nice restaurant adjacent to the pool. The staff for the hotel was friendly. The room itself in Building 12 has ups and downs. Bed comfortable, living part of room was nice looking and current, well decorated. The bathtub was clean, but the entire interior enamel was stained- looks terrible, but was functional. The sink was great. But they installed a wood towel holder under the sink that sticks out so you can't really stand up right next to the sink. This was just designed incorrectly. We turned the cold water on and it was hot. They came and fixed that and for the rest of our visit it was quite warm, but at least not hot. Another guest told me he had the same problem, in a different building, and the maintenance guy told him that the pipes run on the roof or near the roof so on hot days the pipes are heated up. It was ok, we got by. The air conditioner worked pretty much ok, but outside on our small deck, the bottom is completely rusted out with rust pieces and particles on the deck.
There is a room safe, but it is locked and unusable. Perhaps the hotel staff could unlock it, but I don't like to call and tell people I have valuables. The refrigerator is super cold and will freeze stuff you put in it- that may be just this room.
Overall our stay was fine.
